My Review: Shelf life, The Publicist book 2 by Christina George Narrated by Lisa Cordileone

I was given a copy of this audio book for my honest review.

This is book 2 of the Publicist Series by Christina George and Narrated by Lisa Cordileone. Lisa Cordileone is just as good narrating this book as she was in the first one. I really liked listening to her. She is great, she lets the emotions in the story come through in her voice. You can hear the smile in her voice if the character is smiling.
There is more romance in this book then in book 1 but it does not over take the story. There are some racey sex scenes but they are short and only a few in the book.
This book picks up exactly where book 1 The Publicist left off.  Kate is still with Mac and working on a huge book deal, until one day she finds out the writer is the worst kind of scum and has been arrested for selling children. Then she finds out her Boss Edward and Mac both knew something was up and did not warn her. She has had a bad feeling about the author since their first meeting.
She breaks it off with Mac, Then Edward tries to rape her, she quits her job and decides a change of scenery is in order and heads out to California and Nick.
After she leaves, Mac makes it to where the unpublishable book left to her after the death of her author friend Allen died, is now publishable and Kate decides to open her own publishing office. All is going well until Mac shows up divorced and applying for the editors job in Kates company. This throws Kate's emotions into a turmoil. She loves Nick but Mac still has her heart, even though she sends him away. She also realizes that she really misses the hustle and bustle of New York. Kate then decides to open a publishing office in New York and heads back to the man she loves and the city she loves.
I really like this series of books and can't wait to read her new book, Captive. I can't wait to see if she gets her happily ever after.
A word of advice, get book 1 first. This is not a stand alone series.
