7 Halloween Costumes You Can Easily Put Together

7 Halloween Costumes You Can Easily Put
Together

Halloween is the time when adults can dress up and roam the city without looking like complete lunatics. Buying Halloween costumes might be an expensive option. You will not be wearing the vampire costume that you bought from Amazon more than once or twice. Expensive costumes are not what you need to enjoy the spirit of Halloween. You can create your own Halloween costumes at home with what you have in your closet. Here are some easy DIY costumes ideas.
Emoji
You do not have to paint yourself yellow to become an emoji. There are many human emojis that you can mimic. Buy lace front wigs with bangs online and pair them with glasses and a pink T-shirt to match the teacher Emoji. Buy lace front wigs with bangs online and put on a blue T-shirt to become the girl emoji. Going with a friend? Buy matching lace front wigs with bangs, make a pair of bunny ears, put on a black T-shirt and a pair of black shorts and wear a pair of black socks; strike the dancing girl emoji pose. Look at your phone to find the perfect  emoji costume.
Nerd
A pair of chunky glasses is pretty much all that you need to invest in. Wrap white tape around the bridge of the glasses. Wear a white shirt and pull your pants high above your waist. Put some gel in your hair and comb it flat. You can add suspenders and carry a calculator to complete the look.
Corporate Zombie
Pull out the oldest suit your own or borrow one that is bigger than you. A tattered suit from your nearest thrift store can be even better. With the corporate zombie look your make up is what completes the look. Zombie make up tutorials can help you complete your undead look.
Bee
Have you been dying to wear your yellow and black sweater but too scared you will look like a bee? Halloween is the time to pull it out from the back of your closet. Find a pair of black leggings. Take a hair band and two ping pong balls to put together your antennae. If you want to take your look further, then you can create a stinger and attach it to your leggings.
Sia
A black dress is pretty much all you need to create the base of your Sia costume. You do need to buy the two-tone lace front wigs with bangs online to complete the signature look. The giant bow can be made at home or bought from Etsy.
Instagram Photo
You literally can wear anything if you are going for this look. Just get a large cut out of the Instagram picture frame. Hold the cut out in front of you and strike poses.
Error 404
This might be the easiest costume to create for Halloween. Take a plain white T-shirt and some black paint. Write “ERROR 404- HALLOWEEN COSTUME NOT FOUND” and you are set. You can do this with any colored old plain T-shirt. You do not need makeup, you do not need accessories, and you do not need to buy lace front wigs with bangs online.

These are a few easy Halloween costumes that you can explore. For more ideas, use your imagination or search engines.

Love for Two Lifetimes by Martina Boone

About the Book
Title: Love for Two Lifetimes
Author: Martina Boone
Genre: Coming of Age / Young Adult

Two generations, two great loves, one devastating lie . . .

When Izzy unexpectedly loses her mother in a car accident, her world shatters. Their relationship has always been so close that Izzy can't imagine life without her. Nor can she begin to understand when she finds a secret box of love letters that her mother wrote but never sent. The idea of her mother hiding such intense feelings for more than twenty years without so much as a hint makes Izzy question everything she thought she knew--including the identity of her father.

Following a trail of clues overseas, Izzy steps into a world of glamour and English royalty, one which years ago forced her mother to choose between her obligation to her musical gift and her lover's obligations to his family, title, and estate. It's a world of secrets and masquerades, of heartache and betrayal. And in the midst of this world, Izzy finds a young man who feels as broken as she does herself. The two are drawn to each other--only to find that their parents' lies may present an insurmountable obstacle between them.

Thrown together on a coming of age journey of discovery that spans two lifetimes and takes them from a grand estate in the Cotswolds to a hospital bedside in India and ultimately to the Taj Mahal, Izzy and Malcolm try desperately not to fall in love. But some things are impossible...

And some loves are worth any sacrifice...

Uplifting, funny, tragic, and unforgettably, luminously romantic, Love for Two Lifetimes is a tale of two generations of love, a lifetime of friendship, a history of sacrifice, and one last, heartbreaking and hopeful choice revealed in prose, texts, and love letters. Written for young adults and grown-up romantics, if you love the romance of the royal weddings or any story by Nicholas Sparks, Love for Two Lifetimes will have you turning pages late into the night.

“Heartwarming, lyrical, soulful, and with just the right amount of humor: this book sparkles with authentic, layered characters and beautiful, thoughtful prose.” — Jodi Meadows, NYT bestselling co-author of My Lady Jane and My Plain Jane

Excerpt Four:

I think of Ian collecting reminders of the honeymoon he and my mother never had, and my chest hurts as if every tear I’ve cried since Mom died has been pumped back into my lungs. At the same time, I want to run to her and bury my face in my mother’s shoulder.

Sitting in his chair reading, Malcolm looks so much more together than I am. But living with this collection, all these Taj Mahals, knowing what they represented, had to have been hard for him. Especially knowing that his mother knew.

The black hole of missingness Mom left in my life hasn’t gotten any smaller in the months since she died. Was it like that for Malcolm, too? It had to have been worse. He was so little. And all these years, he’s been stuck here watching Ian grieve the loss of my mother instead of his own.

The truth is, he has every right to hate my mother. If I hadn’t known the magical, flawed, struggling, human Marcella Cavalera, how would I be seeing her now? I suppose genius always requires selfishness, sacrifice, and collateral damage to the people around you, but that doesn’t make it any easier to live with.

And Ian? Do I hate him?

I’m not sure I can hate someone who loved Mom that much.

To keep from staring at Malcolm while he reads, I wander over to a desk that’s filled with photos in silver frames. The pictures are all of Malcolm at various ages. When he’s very small, there’s a little girl with him, and they look a lot alike. Sometimes, there’s the two of them with their mother, who was very elegant. In other photos, Malcolm’s older, wearing a school tie and blazer and looking rebellious and lost. There are shots of him with other boys playing soccer and graduating in a cap and gown. But there isn’t a single photo of Malcolm with his father. No photos of Ian at all.

I turn to one of the bookshelves, running my fingers idly along the spines as I circumnavigate the room. Almost immediately, I find old friends: Shakespeare, Dickens, Homer, Goethe, Keats, Byron. Then I discover an ancient edition of The Picture of Dorian Gray and an even older copy of some of Oscar Wilde’s correspondence. It’s like finding a box of my favorite chocolates—I don’t know which to sample first. I plop back down on the sofa, but instead of reading, I find myself watching Malcolm. Two envelopes lie on the table beside him and he holds a third in one hand while he reads the corresponding letter.

His eyes are the clearest I’ve ever seen, so clear it feels like I can see right into him. Reactions chase each other through them as he reads. Anger. Rejection. Surprise.

I wonder if reading the letters will change anything for him, alter the narrative of his childhood the way they’ve turned the wheel on the kaleidoscope of mine. Every new fact makes me see my mother and my life a little differently.

But the letters aren’t proof in themselves. They’re only twenty years of Mom thinking on paper. Talking to herself and pretending to talk to Ian.

GENRE: Paranormal Romance

The last thing Hope Hallows wants is to become the latest headline. Living in a town that likes secrets, she prefers to keep hers hidden. Avoiding a nosy reporter’s questions about her ability to infuse euphoria or despair with a single touch, and those who crave this bliss, is nothing new. But having her brother’s annoying girlfriend, Berta, go missing is—especially when it makes Hope suspect number one.

As a triplet, her resemblance to her beloved dead sister causes her family to grieve even more, and her escalating supernatural skills makes Griffith, her half-human-half-Oppressor boyfriend, wary. He wants to put his unsavory past behind him—this could include Hope—since her abilities remind him of the Underworld.

In her desperate search to find Berta, she stumbles across a tunnel. Phantom voices within whisper that evil has been waiting for a new leader—and isn't she lucky, they've chosen Hope.

Read an excerpt:

“Berta?” I whispered, as if the Oppressor required sound to locate me and couldn’t pinpoint me on the temptation of my essence. If silence were required to protect me from detection, the spinning of the bike tires over twigs, rocks, and dry leaves disintegrating as I passed would’ve thwarted my attempt at stealth long ago.

“Berta?” I yelled louder this time. Dread settled in as I realized she should’ve caught up with me, unless she turned around and returned to the bar. My irritation faded as my thoughts flew into a panic.

What if the Oppressor laid in wait for her, and she couldn’t resist? Not many could ward off the lure of an Oppressor, it’s the reason the town boasted an unusually high number of suicides.

I cringed as I recalled how I instigated the creature with an insult as I saved myself and totally forgot about Berta. She didn’t have any abilities to identify the advance of an Oppressor and protect herself.

Chase
Nightly, L'Uccisore
Team
Nightly Book 1
by
Kate Porter

Genre:
Urban Fantasy

Chase
Nightly is a born and bred Georgia boy from Savannah, who loves his
job as a social studies teacher, his bachelorhood and his widowed
mother.

Rae
Chandler is a contemporary big city woman with no desire to change
that fact; as different from Chase as night and day with one
important exception: They are both leaders of elite teams of vampire
slayers called Uccisore, but with very different territories. When
Rae shows up in Savannah for reasons other than visiting family,
Chase demands to know her true motives. Sparks fly the moment they
meet and past life memories surface, memories that keep Rae off
balance and terrified that destiny will claim her heart once
more.
When
Gordon Charles, Vampire King, kidnaps Chase’s mother, the two
leaders must join forces and put their chaotic feelings aside to save
her from becoming the Vampire Queen.

Hunter's
Sword
Team
Nightly Book 2

Armed
with family legends and a blessed sword dating back to the first
crusades, Hunter Blackfox leaves the reservation in Cherokee, North
Carolina to replace a fallen member of Team Nightly and help protect
the city of Savannah, Georgia.

His
life is about to change…

When
he first lays eyes on Sheila Maxson, he likens her to Aphrodite,
Helen of Troy, and Jackie Onassis—sex, beauty, and class—all
rolled into one, long, luscious package just for him.

Sheila
Maxson is a seasoned member of Team Nightly and a bloodline uccisore
gifted with exceptional speed and agility on the battlefield. But
she’s battling more than the rising number of vampires. The
horrific memories of an event that took place only days after 9/11
when she, her brother Michael, and their aging grandfather tried to
protect first responders from frenzied vampires, as they searched for
survivors at ground zero, are slowly chipping away at Sheila’s
emotional armor. With the added guilt of losing a friend and uccisore
brother in battle, the short fuse of her control is burning
fast.

Each
time she and Hunter are in the same vicinity, Sheila goes on the
attack and Hunter has no option but to fight back. Until the night
Chase and Rae’s daughter is born and the vampire king breaches the
hospital nursery. The bickering teammates must team up to protect the
innocent newborn.

Hunter
must find a way to bring down the walls that Sheila has erected
around herself in order to save not just Chase and Rae’s baby, but
the woman of his dreams as well.

As
word comes to them that Hunter’s Sword is coveted by Gordon
Charles, Vampire King, the entire team must find a way to keep it out
of vampire clutches.

Gordon
Charles will do whatever he must to corrupt the powers of the sword
and sway its magic to benefit his cause. To do that he must spill
Luccisore blood…Sheila’s blood.

Keys
to the Mermaid's Heart
Team
Nightly Book 3

A
mythical sapphire, a family legend, and a lost treasure, could lead
Carly Harden to her fondest dreams . . . or her worst nightmare.

Now
that Carly has revealed her secret, that she knows who and what Team
Nightly is, Tony Sargento, chef of the Blue Mermaid restaurant,
empath, and Carly’s boss, is furious with her. His jealousy at
Carly’s close friendship with Rhett James, the newest team member,
isn’t helping him calm his anger.
That
she’s been in love with Tony since the day they’d met, is one
thing she would never disclose. His anger at her is breaking her
heart and her past is preventing her from trusting him fully.
In
order to help the team locate an artifact that Gordon Charles, King
of the Vampires, is after, Carly digs a little deeper into the family
lore behind the key that she’s worn on a chain since she was a
little girl. She soon comes to believe that it is one of three needed
to open a lost treasure chest. One that is said to hold the Mermaid’s
Heart: a massive sapphire that is said to hold mystical powers and
created by Zeus himself.
The
powers that legend has attached to the Mermaid’s Heart, are said to
be boundless, granting the one who holds it their fondest wishes.
But
when Gordon Charles gets word that Carly is the owner of one of the
fabled keys to the Heart, he sends his minions to retrieve it, no
matter the cost.
After
Carly is attacked and nearly killed, Tony and Rhett must try to set
aside their ongoing battle, to win her heart, in order to protect
her. Even with the help of Team Nightly, it may not be enough to save
her . . . unless they find the Keys to the Mermaid’s Heart.
