Book Description:
Trapped on Naples Island, Eddie Dees does everything he can to hold his family together. A supernatural storm is feeding on people’s fear and paranoia. The more people turn on each other, the stronger it becomes.
Believing there are small, systematic breaks in the storm, he plans to make his way off the island with as many residents as possible. But he must first deal with the crazed gunman roaming the streets as well as another growing threat: Klutch, a violent army vet suffering PTSD, has recruited a band of followers who believe the storm is a weaponized weather experiment gone awry. Klutch plans on stopping anyone from leaving the island, and one of his followers is Eddie’s own teenage son.

Interview with William Michael Davidson
- Favorite travel spot?
I think my favorite place to travel is Alaska. I’ve been three times. It is just so amazing and beautiful. My wife grew up in Portland, so she is not as impressed as I am. She tells me all the time she’s seen enough trees, rain, and greenery to last her a lifetime.
- If you were stuck on a deserted island, what three books would you want with you?
The Bible, The Stand by Stephen King, and some book about how to be rescued from a deserted island. Is there a Dummies Guide to How to Get off a Deserted Island?
- What was the most courageous thing I’ve ever done?
That’s a tough one too. I don’t think of myself as being super courageous. I think being married takes courage, and I mean that seriously. Opening yourself up to someone and giving yourself to someone takes a very special kind of vulnerability. I think anyone who does that displays a form of courage, because love and commitment requires risk.
- Any hobbies?
I love running and paddle boarding. As much as I love writing, I don’t like how isolated I have to be to do it. So my hobbies tend to be ones that get me outside and in the sunlight.
- If there was one thing you would want your readers to remember about you, what would it be?
Truthfully, someone once told me that in the best stories the writer is invisible. So I hope people remember my characters. I want them to remember Eddie Dees in Storm Taken. Me? Makes no difference. I’m just the boring guy sitting in my boxers and drinking coffee and writing the story in the early morning hours.
