Pluckley is known as England's most haunted village. It is called this because of the numerous historical legends and and tons of paranormal activity accounts. One of the most well known story is of a phantom horse and carriage, which comes out of nowhere and disappears. Pluckley was in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the most haunted place in Britain. There are at least 12 documented ghosts residing in Pluckley.

One of my favorite Youtube channels known as Haunts and Jaunts has an awesome video showing several sites in the village and telling some of the history and folklore.
