When my kids were babies the plastic bulb syringe was pretty much our only option, and they were actually horrible. You couldn't actually be sure just far up the nose you were going or how far you need to go. It was a long drawn out process, squeeze the bulb, fight baby to insert it, oops you let go, start over again, squeeze, insert, pull out, squeeze it onto tissue, and start over again, buy now the baby is almost into hysterics and so are you. With this handy dandy gadget, you lay the soft silicone end against babies nose put the other hose into your mouth and suck, the snot goes into the cute little jar at the bottom. I know it sounds gross sucking the snot out of baby, but actually unless the little jar is full there is no way you will get any in your mouth.
My Grandson has horrible allergies poor baby, and is always stuffed up or his nose is running all over his face, now we can clean him up easily and help him breath better also. And no more worrying about going to far and hurting him. This is not only good for babies it is also good for toddlers who are not able to blow their noses yet.
This is very easy to clean up also, just use some hot soapy water, you can see when this is clean unlike bulb syringes, which can get mold inside and you will never know it.
