I really like this brush for brushing my own hair, to brush my grand daughters hair not so much. The grip is very comfortable for my own hair but when I brush hers for some reason the grip is just off a bit and it isn't comfortable for me and she thinks it pulls to much. That is why i give it 4 stars. For personal use I would give it 5 stars. I love the way it actually goes through my very curly, thick, coarse, frizzy hair. I don't have to spend as much time brushing since it seems to go through the whole depth of my hair at once. I like the alternating sizes of the bristles. I love that the bristles are stiff enough to go through my hair but soft enough not to cut into my scalp.
