This is a great ice cream scooper, it is thin enough to really cut through hard frozen ice cream, but sturdy enough to not bend while doing it. It has a spring loaded handle for getting the ice cream out of the scoop. It is made of heavy grade, food safe stainless steel, so should last a very long time.
This can be used for scooping and shaping other foods as well, large melon balls, meat balls, adding cupcake batter to the cupcake cups, just big enough for pancakes.
We love ice cream and this will get used a lot in my house, plus being a from scratch cook it will get used for more then treats.
