Book 3 in the Sami Rizzo series, and D. M. Annechino has not disappointed me. I have read, well listened to the audio books for the first 2 books in this series and they just keep getting better.
Sami Rizzo is a San Diego Homicide Detective. She is now working on her 3rd serial killer case in 5 years. Grief can do a lot of things to a lot of people and in this particular book it takes grief and turns it into revenge. At times you even feel pity and maybe even want to justify what the killer is doing, but morally you can't. Can you?
D. M Annechino drug me in from the first page, not just in this book but in all 3. When you get to the last change you are drooling waiting to be able to pick up the next book in the series. If this was television show or even a movie I who am no much on TV would watch his stories come to life.
All of his characters are well thought out, h has a awesome way of each character seeming like a living breathing person. I love how over the 3 books in this series I have read, he tends to keep the main set of characters and he keeps them as the same people in all the books, no radical changes.
The serial killers in the books are also well thought out. You only get snippets of actual person and I have always been let in awe at the end of the books. Once you think you have the killer pinpointed you find out it was someone totally different.
I personally cannot wait for the 4th book in the series. Great Job D. M. Annechino, I am truly a fan.
Author's Bio:
Daniel M. Annechino, a former book editor specializing in full-length fiction, wrote his first book, How to Buy the Most Car for the Least Money, in 1992 while working as a General Manager in the automobile business. But his passion had always been fiction, particularly thrillers. He spent two years researching serial killers before finally penning his gripping and memorable debut novel They Never Die Quietly.
His second book, Resuscitation (Thomas & Mercer 2011), a follow-up to his first novel, hit #1 in Kindle sales in the UK and reached #26 in the USA. He is also the author of I Do Solemnly Swear (Thomas & Mercer 2012) and Hypocrisy. A Piece of You is his fifth novel, the third in the Detective Sami Rizzo series. A native of New York, Annechino now lives in San Diego with his wife, Jennifer. He loves to cook, enjoys a glass of vintage wine, and spends lots of leisure time on the warm beaches of Southern California.
