I do not use the CD player in my car. I have had my car 3 years and may of had a CD in it 3 or 4 times. I mainly use my MP3 player or my phone to listen to music or Audio Books. So basically it is waster space. This phone mount has give that wasted space a chance to be useful. The mount end slides into the CD slot, and it is installed. Less then 2 seconds and you are ready to go. The magnet on the phone mount is very strong and sturdy. This comes with a steel piece that goes in a phone case or attaches onto the back of your phone. I did not want to attach it to my phone so slid it in between the back of my hone and a bumper case I have on my phone. It is there and out of site. This really works well. The mount part does have a 360 degree rotation so I can position my phone to where I need it very easily.
