I have had a stiff plastic mouse pad for years, It has a sticker like coating over it with little squares that says its great for the optic eye of the mouse. And yes it has been, but the edges are cracking and the sticker is coming off. But I haven't been able to find another anywhere. So when I was was given the chance to test and review this aluminum one I was thrilled.
My old one was great, this one is Excellent!! It moves a while lot smoother then my plastic one, it lays great on the arm of my chair when I am working with my laptop out in the living room. It took me a few minutes to get used to the new speed of moving my mouse, but I love it. There is nothing about this Aluminum mouse pad I don't love. Ok maybe that it is a little cold if I lay it on my lap, but I can deal with that. It is the size of a regular mouse pad, 9.84 x 8.66 x 0.06 inches. It has non slip silicone gripper feet on the bottom so it doesn't slide around on the desk. It is fully washable since there is no paper on it. It weighs nothing. It is very stiff and durable. There should be no reason that it will ever bend out of shape. with normal use, take a hammer too it yea it will probably bend. I am not a die hard gamer, but this pad so far has been great for the gaming I do.
