Ok I must admit I did not go for this coffee grinder to grind coffee. I personally wanted it for grinding spices. I have spice grinders, They do not work near as well as coffee grinders do on spices. The manual grinders that look like pepper shakers, they are great for pepper, but do very little for actual spices. I do not know if it is because some spices are large like coffee beans or what. On top of the fact too the manual and even the battery operated grinders take forever to grind spices, the handle on this baby puts all the spice grinders to shame. I use it the same as if I was grinding coffee. The ground of this grinder is adjustable, so I can have very fine to very coarse. It is a very nice stainless steel. The handle is very sturdy. It has a Ceramic Conical Burr and is rust free.
