I am in love with my new kitchen gadget. I am a from scratch cook, there are no boxed meals in my house. I hand chops as much as possible. I put garlic in just about everything. I also grow and dry my own herbs. This chopper is great for Garlic and hers both. It is smaller then one of the slap type choppers but works just the same. Simply put whatever you want chopped in the small detachable cup. Set the chopper into the cup and push quickly on the top while holding the side steady. Continue until you have the consistency you want from chopped to fine ground. This is pretty easy to clean as long as you wash it off immediately. If you wait until garlic which is very sticky to begin with to dry you may end up soaking it, but if you rinse it off after use it will come right off. This is nice enough for gift giving even.
