These really do keep your hands safe from the heat. They are made from Silicone, so very heat resistant. They are very flexible, so you get a full range of motion while having them on. You can also open jars with these. They grip very well. They are about an Extra Large Size so if you have small hands you might want to practice with them before going into the heat. They are great for the grill and the kitchen. Yup can remove hot pans from the stove or the oven with these. My son in law actually stuck his hand in boiling water and grabbed a boiled egg out of the water, without being burnt. These can be tossed in the dishwasher for easy clean up.
