This is my first rotary cutter and I am just amazed at how well it works. I wish I had of discovered this way before now. I have been cutting everything and kicking myself for not getting one of these before now. This cuts paper and material with an ease I never knew existed. I went out and bought a cutting pad and bought replacement blades. The blades worked perfectly with this cutter. I am so happy with this cutter, I will never use scissors again on big jobs and probably not on some little jobs either.
The handle is made of plastic. You have to squeeze the handle for the blade to engage but it does not wear out your hand to squeeze it. The blade that comes on it is very sharp and even cut denim like it was nothing. Make sure to keep this out of reach of children.
