I am in love with my new earrings. They are beautiful and go with just about anything. I got the red wine garnet ones. They look like rubies and I love them. They are post earrings with tight fitting backs. They are made of sterling silver. I have a hard time wearing metals but I can wear sterling silver. These have given me no problems at all with redness, swelling or my hears feeling feverish. These are great for every day wear as well as dressing up. The cut of the garnet is perfect. I see no chips or cracks or even off centered cuts. These came in a very nice gift box and would also be great for giving as a gift, but I am keeping mine.
