My Grand daughter and I had a tea party the other day in between the rain showers. This picnic blanket having a plastic bottom layer worked great, since the grass was still a bit wet. It was so easy to clean up afterwords too, I hung it over the fence and hit it with the water hose. The top layer is a polyester fabric that is also very nice you just need a wet rag to clean up any food spills or the water hose as was my choice. This is a very large picnic blanket it is 59 X 77 inches, about the size of a queen size mattress. Not the coolest part to me, There is no bag needed to carry this. There is a velcro flap on one end that has a sewn on handle on the side of it, you just fold the blanket it up into a nice little rectangle then fol the flap over it velcros onto the blanket and makes its own tote bag. When folded it is about 10 X 7.5 x 3.5 inches. It weighs about 3 pounds. This was put into the back of our car, my husband and I love to take day trips and weekend getaways, plus we go on vacation at least once a year, having this in the car is great for those spur of the moment trips. Today we went to Daytona Beach to watch the waves coming in from the Hurricane out in the ocean, Although with the crazy waves I did not get to use the blanket but a few minutes, but it was with us.
