First, let me say that it's a pleasure to be here today. Thank you for having me.
There are a few characters in my latest release, "The Paradise Key Caper" who could have hi-jacked the story easily. Quirky characters are hard for me to resist. But I do start each novel with an outline and though I divert occasionally, the outline and strong characters rule.
In these trying times, I think we all need a fun escape, a reason to smile and readers will hopefully find those in "The Paradise Key Caper." It's a cozy mystery with a great romance and populated with eccentric Florida Keys characters. The heroine, Kathleen Cassidy transitions from uptight Boston babe to barefoot island warrior. Her adventure begins when her newly inherited sleek, go-fast boat explodes. Soon the intrepid redhead is questioning her father's death under the watchful eyes of a rugged Miccosukee undercover ICE agent who is definitely not her type, an attractive marine archeologist who definitely is her type and perhaps…a killer.
I am working on two unpublished projects. "Murder at the Magnolia Grill" is another cozy mystery and "The Camerons of Glen Carin" a Highlander historical novella series.
My chosen brainstorm tool is a pencil – and a yellow legal pad. Then, it's straight to the computer.
