My Review: 5*
Let me start with a TRIGGER WARNING. I must warn readers, this is not your safe little furry kitten type book. Oh no, there is sex, lots of language, a suicide attempt, kidnapping, sexual abuse, and mental illness, so if any of these things are a trigger you may not want to read this book. Boomer is the 2nd book in K.L. Savage's Ruthless Kings MC series. I read the first book Reaper and loved it, so I needed to read the book. I am very happy to say I was not disappointed at all in fact I loved this book even more than Reaper. I cannot wait to see where this series goes from here. The next book in the series is Tool, the VP of the Ruthless Kings MC. This series can be read as stand alones but I would personally read each book so you can get an introduction to each person from the previous books.
Boomer whose real name is Jenkins was raised by the Ruthless Kings MC and after his Father was killed Reaper stepped up and became his father figure. He calls Reaper is Step Father. Boomer loves fire and things that go boom. With the voices in his head getting louder and darker Boomer decides he needs to get away from the MC as much for his sake as theirs. So he leaves Las Vegas finding himself is a run down motel in Atlantic City.
Scarlett is a normal college student until she wakes up in a dark wet basement with chains on her ankles, hands, and a collar around her neck holding her to a wall. She's not the only girl in that basement. Abigail a nurse is also chained there and tells Scarlett what to expect and gives her tips on how to survive the cruelty and depravity that awaits her. She also tells her who has kidnapped her, The Ruthless Kings Atlantic City Chapter. Other girls are brought in after Scarlett as well. Abigail is very sick and a plan is formed with the only person from the MC who seems to care for the girls, Wolf. Wolf is also a victim in a way of this MC. When the plan is played out Abigail is found sick and hurt by Boomer at the motel he is staying at.
Boomer goes after the girls being held along with the old man who runs the motel and Wolf. He is trying to decide if he needs to call Reaper and get help when they show up at his doorstep.
