He hired her to catch a thief, little did he know, she’d steal his heart.

After serving fifteen years in the Army, Sage Reynolds is used to being rootless and spending her life on the road. When she drifts into Sapphire Falls she's so deep in dept she has no choice but to take a job with an up and coming private security firm--even though the first time she meets her handsome boss she discovers he's a chauvinistic caveman.

Desperate for help, Levi hired Sage sight unseen under the assumption she was a man. Boy was he wrong. Unfortunately, he needs an experienced security expert to help stem the rash of burglaries in town, not a gorgeous woman who distracts him to no end and upends his carefully ordered life.

Now they’re forced to learn to trust each other and time is of the essence as the town’s people are becoming restless and the burglaries seem to have no end.

Don’t miss the first story in the exciting Bluegrass Security series. PJ Fiala will keep you turning pages into the night!

Racing for the finish line has never had higher stakes.

After 25 years in the military, Sam (Mac) McKenzie, decides to plant roots and build his Bluegrass Security business in small town Kentucky. He’s looking forward to an easy pace enjoying his sweet home on Fire Lake. An even sweeter woman would make life perfect.

Bourbon loving Detective Stevie Jorgenson has never been described as sweet, and she’s not looking to settle down, but she’s more than willing for a hot night of fun with the tall drink of water that just walked into her favorite bar.

Mac and Stevie's fling becomes so much more when prize thoroughbreds start dying days before the Kentucky Derby—including her father’s. When the killer shifts focus, they must depend on each other both professionally and personally in the desperate race to discover who is behind the increasingly deadly sabotage.

Sometimes love can be lethal….

Chuck moved to the great state of Kentucky to become part of Bluegrass Security and test his mettle. When he is asked to take on a more dangerous role in the firm, he's more than ready to get down and dirty. That is, until he has to tell a curvaceous beauty that her son is a thief.

Widowed beauty salon owner, Nita Brown, isn't looking for love or drama, but then a sexy hunk of a security guy walks into her life. Unfortunately, he isn't bringing good news, and she’s caught between protecting her son and telling the truth - a truth that could get them all killed.

Working together could help mend the wounds from their pasts--if they can stay alive to enjoy the future.

Writing has been a desire my whole life. Once I found the courage to write, life changed for me in the most profound way. Bringing stories to readers that I'd enjoy reading and creating characters that are flawed, but lovable is such a joy.

When not writing, I'm with my family doing something fun. My husband, Gene, and I are bikers and enjoy riding to new locations, meeting new people and generally enjoying this fabulous country we live in.

I come from a family of veterans. My grandfather, father, brother, two sons, and one daughter-in-law are all veterans. Needless to say, I am proud to be an American and proud of the service my amazing family has given.
