Smiley by LeAnn Ashers is book 1 in her new series Grim Sinners Original MC. This is also my first book by LeAnn Ashers. The book is a standalone but from researching LeAnn's writings it is a combination of 2 of her other series, Devils Souls MC and Grim Sinners MC. I don't feel like I missed anything from this story by not reading these other series but after having read this book I do want to go back and read the others to get to know some of the back ground characters in this book better. This is a pretty short book but there is a lot of punch packed into it. This is one of the calmest MC books I have read, but there is nothing wrong with that either.

Smiley is the retired president of the Grim Sinners MC. He may not be President anymore but he hasn't left his brothers behind.  He still has a presences in the MC. 

Adeline has had a rough life. Things weren't great for her as a child and when she grew up and married things got even worse. Her husband abused her and even pimped her out. She has some very deep scars.

Neither Smiley or Adeline have ever experienced love, and have pretty much given up on ever experiencing it. But when They meet actually in a previous book, they both know there is something special out there for them. In this book we get to read how Smiley and Adeline help each other heal and grow, and experience true love for the first time in their lives. 

LeAnn Ashers is a blogger-turned-author who spends her days reading and writing. She released her debut novel early 2016, and can't wait to see where this adventure continues to take her.
