Excerpt Two:
‘Old friend, don’t you want your sweet thing anymore?’ Her voice was a gleeful shrill. Her eyes danced a merry beat as she advanced towards him, nursing her breasts in her hands. ‘Don’t you like my breasts, my poor, sad breasts who have lost their nice, little nipples?’ Her face faked a sad droop, her lips curved in a downward pout. Suddenly, her hand shot out, grabbing his shirt before he could escape, pulling him close with a strength that matched a pulley. A foul odour seeped from her skin into his nose, the stench of decay.
Eze screamed and lashed out, plunging the dagger into her neck. Again and again he struck, stabbing and screaming as she continued to hold his shirt, refusing to set him free. The blind haze began to lift from his eyes, bringing worse terror to his brain. There was no blood on his blade. There was no blood on her body. He could see the holes, the cuts, the damage done to her body by his dagger. Yet, he could see neither blood nor fright on her. A black chill covered his body as her hand reached for his head, her cold, numbing hand, her corpse hand. His knees buckled as he fell at her feet, blubbering, shaking, gasping for breath, seeking oblivion from the terror that threatened to steal his sanity.
