Book Description:
Duality dwells at every turn, and an adolescent Zeus will learn that all too well when Hyperion attacks his family on Crete.
When the dust settles, his mother is unconscious and his best friend left for dead.
Stacking epic insult upon fatal injury, Zeus discovers the woman who raised him is not his biological mother. But to ensure her safety while she recovers, a heavy-hearted Zeus leaves her behind to seek answers at Mount Olympus Preparatory Academia.
Zeus embarks on a quest to discover who ordered the attack on his home, avenge the death of his friend, and find his birth mother. When some of his new schoolmates vanish, Zeus's quest is turned upside down, and the only way to make things right is to access the power of The Sky Throne, confront a most dangerous enemy, and take his life back.
On his way to becoming king of the Greek gods, Zeus will learn to seize power, neutralize his enemies, and fall in love.

Interview with Chris Ledbetter
1) Which was the hardest character to write? The easiest?
The hardest character was Metis. There’s not that much written about her. And I wanted her to be super complex. Also, Hestia was difficult because she has next to nothing written about her.
The easiest was Zeus, actually. I loved crafting his character. Hera was also on the easy side.
2) There are many books about Greek mythology. What makes yours different?
While there is a gluttony of young adult titles that feature contemporary demi-god children of some ancient god, I chose to focus on the deities themselves and their origins. The witches cauldron contains a pinch of Harry Potter and Percy Jackson, alongside a handful of drama and danger
3) If you could put yourself as a character in your book, who would it be?
I’d really enjoy being Zeus.
4) Your book is set in Greece. Have you ever been there?
Sadly, no. but Greece is definitely tops on my vacation list.
5) What’s next for you?
THE HIGH COURT, Book 2 in the series comes in 2018. Be on the look out.
