I love this router. It is a 2g and 5g router all in one. It is a AC1200 Dual band wireless router. It has plug ins for up to 4 wired connections. There are 4 antennas. In the box you get the router, the power cord, an Ethernet cable, and an instruction manual. There is no software to be installed from a disk. The router can be set on a desk or shelf or hung on a wall side of the desk or where ever. It is light weight.
The set up was actually easy after you read the instructions and follow them. Now it says you can install by connecting your smartphone to the internet via the router. I was able to to that easily but then it says you have to connect the Ethernet cable to your device. My phone nor does any other phone I have had or seen have a spot to plug in an Ethernet cable. So I had to start all over and use my laptop. Once I connected my laptop and reset the router it was smooth sailing and in about 5 minutes I was online with all of my devices. Even my range extender works with this router.
I can definitely tell the difference with this router over my old one. Things are loading so much faster. We have 3 laptops, 3 tablets, 2 phones, 2 television viewing devices, and when the kids are there that adds a whole lot more devices to our internet. I love that this has to where guests can sign in. I set that up for the kids and grandkids.
