André
The Marines trained me to set my sights and wait for the shot. For eight years, I guarded my brothers and defended my country. Now I protect my clients. My personal security firm is the best in the business because I leave nothing to chance… until a dark-haired, hazel-eyed spitfire crosses my path.
She and her sexy-as-hell striptease were supposed to be a one-night distraction. But too late I noticed the branding on her back and my blood ran cold. This woman wasn’t a distraction—she was a death sentence.
Knowing who she was left me no choice. I took her on as my client. But running from her past wasn’t an option.
The Marines didn’t train me to retreat. They taught me to engage.
One shot. One kill.

Author Bio:
Sybil Bartel grew up in Northern California with her head in a book and her feet in the sand. She dreamt of becoming a painter but the heady scent of libraries with their shelves full of books drew her into the world of storytelling. She loves the New Adult genre, but any story about a love so desperately wrong and impossibly beautiful makes her swoon.
Sybil now resides in Southern Florida and while she doesn’t get to read as much as she likes, she still buries her toes in the sand. If she isn’t writing or fighting to contain the banana plantation in her backyard, you can find her spending time with her handsomely tattooed husband, her brilliantly practical son and a mischievous miniature boxer…
But Seriously?
Here are ten things you probably really want to know about Sybil.
She grew up a faculty brat. She can swear like a sailor. She loves men in uniform. She hates being told what to do. She can do your taxes (but don’t ask). The Bird Market in Hong Kong freaks her out. Her favorite word is desperate…or dirty, or both—she can’t decide. She has a thing for muscle cars. But never reply on her for driving directions, ever. And she has a new book boyfriend every week—don’t tell her husband.

Excerpt:

There are many alternative
therapies. I believe that food is the best medicine. Nothing outrageous but a
healthy diet of fresh foods, full of nutrition, is a good start.
Herbs and spices
offer medicinal qualities that science seeks to replicate and reproduce. I
believe in Mother Nature and choose the most natural options I can afford. Many
will argue about the cost of health foods, but I will argue about the cost of
health care -a cost I do not have!  I
often have to remind myself I am HIV positive.  I am undoubtedly healthier than most of the
people I know. I take no prescription medications other than an occasional
muscle relaxer for neck pain.  I even
rely on a capsaicin or cayenne rub for topical use instead of taking a pill. I
only use the medication as a last resort.
Prevention vs. cure
is an excellent battle plan if you’re serious about living healthy.
There are many
other things that may contribute to my body holding this virus at bay. I am not
a cigarette smoker. I am a Vegetarian.  I
never was a clean freak, so I don’t use noxious chemicals to clean and
pesticides are not my style.

About the Author:

It's 2017 and 12 years after my HIV diagnosis I am still healthy and on no prescription meds for HIV.

I wrote Fighting Disease with Whole Food Nutrition to start a discussion about healthy choices that save lives. Because no one seems to care about that. Not the doctors or specialists, or anyone I tried to contact to expand on why I am so healthy despite being HIV positive.

The answer is food. Real food. Not processed, microwaved, filled with preservatives and chemically created vitamins food. Real, whole, fresh food.

You are what you eat. Eat healthy to be healthy.

Pocket Hose Top Brass Bullet

I live in Florida, I love plants, and I have many on my front porch, so a great water hose is very important to me. The problem with a lot the old rubber water hoses are large and bulky. My front porch is about 40 feet long so I need a 50 foot hose. To wind a 50 foot rubber hose leaves a huge stack, and it is very heavy. I have tried a few of the different brands of pocket type hoses but they do not last for long, they tend to break around the connectors.  This pocket hose seems to have solved my water hose problems.

This hose shrinks back very small when the water has been drained from it. Pocket hoses should never be left with water in them or the water running. This hose has great protectors at the ends of the hose, none I have tried have this until now.

This hose comes with a great hose end. It is adjustable and does not need the gun style. I get better control of how much water comes out of this hose then I have ever had with any of the gun style sprayer. Some of my plants are very tender and need a gentle spray this hose end is perfect, no more broken plants and no more having to water then with a bucket. The hose end does easily screw off if you want to hook it to a different sprayer or even a sprinkler.

This hose also has one of the best hose covers I have seen. Most just have a thin material sleeve down them, this one is corded, they call it a bullet shell, and for good reason. it seems to be a lot tougher and more protective then the other thin materials I have seen or used.

The brass connectors on the end of the hose are thick, strong, and very durable. A lot of water hoses of any type if you were to step on them they would collapse and the hose would be useless. Not this one. It can stand up pressure without collapsing. The hose is also tangle and kink resistant. The pressure of the water keeps the hose from kinking up.

This hose so far has done exactly as the manufacturer has promised. I am very happy with it.

FREEWISE Personal Fan Battery Operated (Pink)

This is one awesome personal fan. I live in Florida it is pretty much hot year round. I love going places and doing things outside but with the heat especially in July and August it is just to hot to go outside to even check the mail. This personal fan will let me go and do more.

It is very lightweight, it weighs next to nothing. It has a rechargeable battery, you take the battery out and charge it or plug it into any charger with the included micro USB wire. It has 3 speeds, high medium, and low, even low puts out a lot of air. It is pretty quiet, on low you can hardly hear it running. In total it is about 8 1/2 inches high and at the widest point of the fan t is 4 inches wide. You can use the fan while it is plugged in, I have using it on my desk and I love it.

I am going going on vacation with my Daughter and Grand Kids this weekend and will be taking it with me. We will be staying in a  cabin with no fans and I cannot sleep without a fan so will be setting it on the bedside table at night. Then when we are out exploring and I get hot I can pull it out of my bag and cool off.

This fan will come in handy in so many ways for me, I am thrilled with it.  it comes with everything, you get a base to stand it up in, there is a micro USB cord for charging, there is a removeable wrist strap, and then the fan itself.

#Natrogix Thyroid Support Formula (60 Capsules)

My Daughter at the age of 14 had an egg sized tumor that wrapped itself around the right half of her thyroid. The doctors had to surgically remove the tumor but with it being so wrapped around the thyroid they had to take the whole right half. They also decided with her age and because they left half of the thyroid they did not want to put her on meds. Now she is an adult and the half of her thyroid does not seem to be doing enough on its own, her levels are messed up when she has blood work but the Doctors still do not want to put her on meds since the levels can be hypo one time and hyper another. Her doctor has told her to take Thyroid Support meds. She has tried many different brands over the years. Some have seemed to help others not so much. We have yet to see how well these will work since she needs to take them for at least a couple months to get the full benefits. We do have to say these are very easy to swallow, there is no smell, taste, or after taste with these pills. She does not get any stomach upset or anything. She takes 2 pills in the morning and goes on about her life.  These pills also help with her mood swings, which is a thyroid issue. She is quite happy with these pills. there is a months supply of 60 pills in this bottle. The lid is not childproof so make sure to keep them away from children.

Green Heart Garden Shears with Titanium Blades

These garden shears by #greenheart are really nice. They cut through my bushes in the front yard very easily. I love how well the grips on the handles make it to hold onto them even with gloves on. I cut probably 1/2 inch thick limbs on my bushes. They were a great straight cut not a jagged ripped cut. I love that these blades can be sharpened when they dull. The blades are made of Hardened Carbon Steel with a titanium coating, so they should last a very long time. They have a good weight to them, not to heavy for cutting multiple branches, but yet not to light to bend and twist while cutting. I can see these getting a whole lot of use my my yard.

Excerpt:

“Are you sure
Hallstein was your mate in another life?” His eyes held hers as he spun her so
that they were facing each other. “Do you have memories of your time with him?”
He shook his head, spoke through clenched teeth and worked hard to keep rage
from taking over as he caught glimpses of what she had endured. “He did things
to you, Erica. Terrible things. Things that make no sense given you were
Maeva…his mate.”
She leaned back,
clenched her jaw and averted her eyes. “Yes, he was my mate. I’m sure of it.”
“Then why can’t
you look at me when you say that?” He tilted her chin until she had no choice
but to meet his eyes. “What aren’t you telling me? What’s the missing piece?”
He frowned. “Because something’s not adding up.”
“It doesn’t…you
just...” She frowned as well. “You need to let this go. You need to let me go.
It’s the only way this is going to work. It’s the only hope we have.”
“And where am I
supposed to let you go to?” He glanced around to remind her where they were
before his eyes returned to hers. “Because it’s out of my control, yes?”
“You know what I
mean.”
“Do I?” He
stepped a bit closer and never removed his fingers from her chin. “Because as
far as I can tell you want me to believe you desire Hallstein when that’s the
furthest thing from the truth. I think you’re trying to push me away so that
you can somehow save everyone all on your own.”
Because he was
remembering his last life, he remembered what Maeva had looked like. While they
shared the same tall, lithe build with curves in all the right places, he found
Erica more stunning in this life. Her eyes were varying shades of striking
green that seemed to shift with her mood, and her warm skin tone was luminous.
He wanted to feel her soft skin against him. Touch every last inch of her.
She went very
still as their eyes held. Or so one would think if they couldn’t detect the
slight tremor that went through her. Shivers that only translated to another
dragon. He also noticed that she had gone from momentarily vulnerable to
completely closed off despite her physical reaction.
“You’re good at
that,” he murmured, shifting even closer to see if he could bring out that
tremor even more. “Trying to be strong for everyone else all the time. How long
have you played that part?” While he should have remained compassionate and
thankful, his inner dragon was flaring. The jealousy that reared whenever he
thought about her in the enemy’s arms. “How long have you been playing the part
of a woman trying to convince Hallstein that you’re his? How long have you
been—”
“No,” she cut
him off, yanked her chin away and narrowed her eyes. “What I’ve done to help
our people is not because—”
“Because you’re
meant to be together?” he cut her off just as readily, as he turned things
around on her. “Because you’re not, are you?” He shook his head and narrowed
his eyes as well. “You’re not supposed to be with him.” His voice dropped to a
whisper as the truth hovered just out of reach. Like a memory he was right on
the verge of remembering. “You never were, but something happened…”
Something he
needed to understand, so he thought fast. If one thing had been proven true
with his kin and their mates it was that intimacy seemed to speed up their
mental connections. So why not get things moving in that direction?
It seemed Erica
followed his line of thought because a moment later she started to move away
but he caught her. With an arm around her lower back, he yanked her against
him, cupped the back of her neck and kissed her.

The moment he
did, everything changed.
