Fish Wielder by J.R.R.R Book tour

Fish Wielder
J.R.R.R (Jim) Hardison

YA Epic Fantasy
Fish Wielder Series (Book 1)
Publisher: Fiery Seas Publishing, LLC
August 23, 2016

Book Description:

Fish Wielder is kind of like Lord of the Rings, set in Narnia, if it was written by the guys who made Monty Python and the Holy Grail while they were listening to the music of They Might Be Giants.

In ancient times, the Dark Lord Mauron cooked the most powerful magic chocolate dessert ever made, the Pudding of Power.

One thousand and two years later, the evil leader of the Bad Religion, the Heartless One, is trying to recover the lost pudding in order to enslave the peoples of Grome. Only the depressed barbarian warrior Thoral Might Fist and his best friend, Brad the talking Koi fish, have a chance to save the world of Grome from destruction, but that's going to take a ridiculous amount of magic and mayhem.

Thus begins the epically silly epic fantasy of epic proportions, Fish Wielder—book one of the Fish Wielder Trilogy.

Excerpt 4 (330 words)
The barbarian glowered at the magician as the blade thrummed in his hand.
“Prepare to meet whatever maker made thee,” Thoral spat.
“No, you!” the sorcerer shot back.
Then the two ran at each other. Necrogrond swung his wickedly curved dagger, and
Thoral blocked the blow with his magic sword so that blue sparks showered around him. The
sorcerer pirouetted like a dancer dancing a dance of death and slashed at the barbarian’s heaving
chest. Thoral jumped backwards, avoiding a nasty cut. Then he sprang forward and punched the
sorcerer in the ear. Necrogrond was spun round by the force of Thoral’s mighty fist, and his ear
tore right off and fell on the floor with a wet plop. He howled in pain and clutched at the side of
his head.
“You’ll pay for that, barbarian!” the sorcerer screeched and made a big flash of magic
light that had Thoral seeing spots.
When the Fist Wielder’s vision returned, Necrogrond appeared to be gone. Actually, he
was in the air above Thoral, hovering in a way that made the magician look as if he were floating
underwater. Even his hair rippled as if he were underwater. It was pretty creepy, but the effect
was wasted on Thoral because he didn’t see it.
“Where art thou, FOUL WIZARD?!” Thoral roared, turning this way and that as
Necrogrond descended. The sorcerer was a mere foot above him when a single drop of blood
dripped from his severed ear and splashed onto the top of Brad’s head as he peered from inside
Thoral’s belt pouch.
“He’s hovering above us!” the fish shouted.
Thoral looked up, but too late. The sorcerer plopped down on him, seizing the warrior’s
neck between his powerful thighs. He squeeze until Thoral’s face turned red and veins bulged at
his temples. The barbarian staggered and fell to his knees, gasping for breath and grasping for the
sorcerer. And then it really seemed as if Thoral might lose. Really this time.

Fish Wielder Praise:

“This is one wild romp! I'm not sure I've seen such preposterously determined critic-baiting parody since Xanth or Asprin's Myth-Begotten series. I recommend it to anyone.” ―Piers Anthony, New York Times Bestselling Author

"Fast, fun, fantastic! Fish Wielder is hilarious and unpredictable, like a drunk bear playing whack-a-mole." ―Logan J. Hunder, author of Witches Be Crazy

"A great time. Fast and funny, it races along in a self-aware tone that should appeal to anyone who loves fantasy but has ever found themselves thinking, huh, that was a little melodramatic." ―Clay Johnson, author of OFF TO SEE THE WIZARD (Ravenswood Publishing, 2016)

About the Author:

Fish Wielder is J.R.R.R. (Jim) Hardison's first novel novel (He wrote a graphic novel, The Helm, for Dark Horse Comics). Jim has worked as a writer, screen writer, animator and film director. He started his professional career by producing a low-budget direct-to-video feature film, The Creature From Lake Michigan. Making a bad movie can be a crash course in the essential elements of good character and story, and The Creature From Lake Michigan was a tremendously bad movie. Shifting his focus entirely to animation, Jim joined Will Vinton Studios where he directed animated commercials for M&M’s and on the stop-motion TV series Gary and Mike. While working at Vinton, he also co-wrote the television special Popeye's Voyage: The Quest for Pappy with actor Paul Reiser.

Jim has appeared on NBC's The Apprentice as an expert advisor on brand characters, developed characters and wrote the pilot episode for the PBS children's television series SeeMore's Playhouse and authored the previously mentioned graphic novel, The Helm, named one of 2010's top ten Great Graphic Novels for Teens by YALSA, a branch of the American Library Association. These days, Jim is the creative director and co-owner of Character LLC, a company that does story-analysis for brands and entertainment properties. He lives in Portland, Oregon with his lovely wife, two amazing kids, one smart dog and one stupid dog.

GENRE: Contemporary Romance

BLURB:

Pamela Landers had it all, a senior partnership with a top law firm, expensive car, and a luxurious condo. What she desired most was a loving husband, children and a life filled with precious memories that would comfort her through her golden years.

Funny how fate has a way of steering you down that path where dreams really can come true. When Pamela encounters Gavin Templeton along her journey, she has some life-altering decisions to make that eventually lead her to happily ever after.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Excerpt One:
“Nice to meet you, Mr. Templeton. I’ve been trying to get to Sugar Run for the past two years, but …” she paused. “I just don’t know how to say no to my boss.”
He chuckled and pointed her way.
“Well, good for you. All work and no play … well, you know the rest.” He interjected.
Then she thought. I’ll be damned. She knew that name. Everyone knew the Templeton name. She was rather titillated by his attention. The Templeton’s, were quite known in the Northeast. Not only was Sugar Run a rather luxurious five-star resort, but his family had acquired over fifty acres of prime lakefront property and started developing it into one of the most eloquent gated communities that would offer luxurious 2-3-bedroom town homes, a 9-hole golf course, and private country club.
The cleft in his chin was more prominent when he smiled and it pleased her to know she was the cause of the sparkle in his eyes.
“And, please, call me Gavin.”
Her voice shook a little. “Pamela Landers … my name, that is and, thank you for sharing your table.”
The waitress arrived, took both of their orders, and refilled their coffee cups.
“So, tell me Pamela, what line of work occupies your every waking moment?”
“Law,” she answered. “My niche is wrongful death.”
The look that registered on his face made her wonder, if the legal field was something he found distasteful. She did not know why, but she wanted his approval. His opinion of her somehow mattered.
“Do you ski, Gavin?”
“Not an Olympic hopeful mind you, but I manage to make it to the bottom without breaking my neck.”
Pamela giggled.
His cell phone went off and he excused himself, as he rose and moved from the table. He was only gone for a matter of moments. When he returned to the table and rejoined her, he asked the waitress to bring him the check right away.
Pamela tried to hide her disappointment.
“Pressing business?” She asked, trying to keep the disappointment from her voice.
Gavin’s was evident as he sighed heavily. “I’m afraid so. There’s something I must attend to in Ashbury that needs my attention.” He rose and handed the waitress two twenty-dollar bills and told her to keep the change.
Pamela shook her head and raised her hand to argue but, he waved it off.
“Please, it was my pleasure to meet you.” His smile was warm and genuine. “Perhaps, you’ll join me for a cocktail this evening. I’ll send a note to your room.”
Pamela returned his smile. “Um, that would be nice,” she waved her finger at him, “but, the drinks are on me or, it’s a no.”
Gavin reached for her hand, and drew it to his lips, and stroked it tenderly with his thumb. “How can I refuse? Until later this evening then.” He bowed slightly and turned to exit.
Pamela was exuberant as she watched him leave, appreciating how well the jeans he was wearing fit around a rather nice tight ass and well-muscled thighs. Pamela relaxed and played back their meeting in her mind. Talk about fate … it was all rather unexpected and the immediate attraction she felt for him was even more surprising. She looked down at the thick, crisp waffles on her plate and began devouring them with a hunger that was as strong as her desire to meet up with the dashing and charming owner of Sugar Run.
AUTHOR Bio and Links:
My love of reading romance fiction goes back to those early years when I was raising a young family. It wasn't until much later in life I actually took up the pen to write my first historical romance, Wind Warrior. I really don't fit into one specific niche. Once a story starts to flow, it's only then I know what genre/sub-genre it will fit under.
I have only one regret, and that is not getting to this point in my career much sooner, rather than later. Life has a way of setting up road blocks, which for me, was supposed to work out that way. Because of those detours, I have become a more passionate and expressive writer, allowing me to create the kind of raw human emotion I want my readership to feel.
It is my hope you walk away with not just an entertaining read, but the importance in knowing, "Without imagination & dreams, we lose the excitement of wonderful possibilities."
EXCERPT: Grace & Victor
Grace's POV
It was the early eighties, Maryann and I were barely legal but that didn’t stop us from painting the town red. I had a part-time job at Rosalie’s bakery, making just enough money to spend my paycheck—that’s a lie. I never received a paycheck, those days we were paid in cash, sixty dollars stuffed in a white envelope that Rosalie scribbled my name on. It was enough cash for me to buy a brand new outfit every Friday. I would take my envelope, cross three avenues and make my way to Something Else boutique on 86th Street.
I teased my hair six inches to the sky, applied enough blue eyeshadow to my eyelids, you had no choice but to notice my almond shaped eyes. Lastly, I ripped the tags and put on my silk turquoise jumpsuit. Maryann stole her father’s car out of the garage and picked me up at exactly ten o’clock. Studio 54 was packed, the line to get inside the club wrapped around the block but Maryann grabbed my hand and walked us straight to the front of the line.
“I’m a friend of Val’s,” she told the bouncer guarding the door.
At the time, I only knew Val as one of the neighborhood guys. He, like most of the guys our age living in Bensonhurst, hung around with the old-timers, the made-men, goodfellas—you know the type of men I’m talking about. Gangsters.
I didn’t know if Val was in fact a made man or part of a family, I just knew one day he would be and I understood why Maryann had taken a liking toward him. Who didn’t find that type of man sexy? There was nothing more attractive than the unattainable bad boy who exuded charisma.
The bouncer lifted the red velvet rope and escorted us into the pulsating night club. I remember the song playing as I stepped foot onto the colorful dance floor that lit up as the patrons danced the night away, ‘How Deep Is Your Love’ by the Bee Gees. It was one of my favorites and I wanted to dance so badly but Maryann had other plans, taking my hand as she dragged me across the dance floor to the bar where Val stood. He was surrounded by a bunch of guys, some I knew and others were a mystery. A delicious mystery.
“Order us a couple of Long Island Iced Teas and I’ll be right back,” she shouted over the music.
I sat down at the bar and ordered the drinks, glancing across the bar as she worked her way into the circle and straight to Val. The bartender placed the two drinks in front of me and I waited five minutes before I pulled the little paper umbrella from the glass and lifted the straw to my lips.
I averted my eyes back to the other end of the bar and noticed Maryann and Val had disappeared from the crowd.
“Those things are lethal,” a voice said from behind me, forcing me to spin around on the bar stool and stare at the most handsome man I ever laid eyes on.
The first thing I noticed was his clothes. He wasn’t dressed like the other men. His charcoal gray suit looked as if it was tailor made for him. He opted to wear a black turtleneck under the suit, no button down, collar popping shirt for the handsome stranger before me. He did however engage in the fad of gold chains. My eyes zeroed in on the crucifix dangling from the thick, gold rope chain hanging around his neck. I lifted my eyes to his face and was greeted by a smile I’d never forget.
His eyes drifted toward the two drinks that sat in front of me to the empty stool beside me.
“May I?”
“Sure,” I said, twirling back around to face the bar as he slipped onto the stool and signaled for the bartender.
He ordered a Martini, dry with extra olives as I toyed with the paper umbrella and brought my drink to my lips for another sip. The song changed, Tavares filtered the nightclub with their hit, ‘More Than a Woman’.
“What’s your name, beautiful?” He asked, casually draping an arm over the back of my stool.
“Grace,” I said, mesmerized by the way he stared so intently at me.
“Grace,” he repeated, testing the name on his tongue, grinning once he decided he liked the way it sounded.
“And who are you?” I stammered, taking another sip, hoping to calm my nerves. This man had the power to undo me with a simple glance.
“Me? I’m the man who’s going to marry you one day,” he said pointedly.
I nearly spat my drink out.
“That’s pretty presumptuous don’t you think?” Or cocky depending on who you ask, I added silently.
He grinned at me as he lifted his hand and ran his index finger down my cheek.
“Watch and see, Gracie,” he promised, dropping his hand but keeping his gaze locked on me. “The name is Victor, Victor Pastore.”
It is so easy to forget those first blissful moments when you meet the person you’re meant to spend the rest of your life with. Instead, we harbor the resentment life has brought upon us and lose touch of the magic that brought two unsuspecting strangers together.
Sitting across from the man I love for the final time I wonder how I ever let myself become so jaded by the trials and tribulations we stumbled upon in our years together. Why did I let the heartache trump the happiness? Why couldn’t I hang on to all the times he made me smile, all the times I looked into his eyes and knew I was his one and only. Why wasn’t the love we created enough to outweigh the torment of the mob?
#LEATHERANDLACE
C. Leather and Lace
EXCERPT: Blackie & Lacey
Blackie POV
I don’t tell her I’ll be on the road for the next three days, instead I pretend like everything is fine and I’m not about to declare war on the Corrupt Bastards. Ignorance is bliss and for tonight all I want to be is blissfully buried inside Lacey, drowning in the sweetness she possesses.
Holding her hand as the needle pricked her skin and marked her flesh provided the perfect distraction for a while but now we’re home and the only thing I want distracting me is her body. I watch her unzip the hoodie she’s wearing, glancing over her shoulder as she lowers it down her shoulders and checks to see if the gauze is still taped to her back, covering her new tattoo.
She’s not trying to be seductive but every fucking move she makes has me hard and craving her. Poor girl, I will demolish her tonight so that when I’m on the road, the ache in between her thighs keeps her company, reminding her I’m never too far from her.
She turns around and peers at me from under her eyelashes, slowly reaching behind her to unclasp her bra as I lean against the wall and drink in the show she’s about to treat me to.
“Go on, girl,” I urge, crossing my arms against my chest as I bite the inside of my cheek and watch the straps slide down her arms and expose her to my hungry eyes.
Her thumbs slide into the waistband of her pants, dragging them down her legs before she steps out of them.
“No panties?”
“Not tonight,” she says, reaching behind her to pull her hair out of the clip. Her back arches and her perky tits salute me. “Give me your phone,” she says, shaking out her long hair so it falls down her back and over her shoulders.
Fucking gorgeous.
Curiously, I pull my phone out of the back pocket of my jeans and hand it to her, watching as she pushes her breasts together and snaps a photo of herself. Bending over, she angles her phone and snaps another photo of her heart-shaped ass.
“Damn, girl,” I groan.
She straightens up, eyes on me as she takes two steps closer and spreads her legs. Holding the phone with both hands she lowers it so the lens is level with her pussy and snaps another picture.
“Don’t say I never gave you anything,” she teases as she tosses the phone back, clarifying I’m not the only one leaving reminders behind.
I catch the phone, place it down on dresser before closing the distance between us. With one hand I reach behind me, my ribs are still bruised but I don’t react to the twinge pulling across my midsection as I pull my shirt over my head.
“You want something in return, girl?”
“Depends what you’re offering,” she says coyly, placing both hands on her bare hips as she winks at me.
I don’t offer anything instead I drop to my knees and take what I want and give her what I know she needs, placing my open mouth over the lips of her pussy and pushing my tongue between them. Her hands fall from her hips to my shoulders and her nails dig into my skin as my tongue lavishly strokes her.
Starving.
Insatiable.
I feed off her, lapping at her clit, sucking on it until her hands are in my hair, pulling it begging me to take her over the edge.
Not yet.
Girl needs to squirm a little. That’s right, grind on me girl.
“Blackie--,” she shrieks as I slip two fingers insider her.
“Give it to me, girl,” I grunt against her pussy, pumping my fingers to the same beat my tongue is playing.
Give me something to dream of when I’m off the grid.
Give me something to remember in case I break my promise to you and can’t come back.
I feel her tighten around my fingers, hear her cry out in ecstasy as I continue to selfishly take my memory from her, ingraining it to my mind, body and soul as she loses control over my mouth. Her body goes lax after the tremors subside and I slowly pull my mouth away from her. I lift my eyes to hers and lick my lips, savoring the taste to my palette.
“Fuck, Blackie,” she says breathless, dropping to her knees as she takes my face with her hands. Leaning forward, her tongue sneaks out tasting what’s left behind of her on my mouth.
“You like that don’t you? That’s all you, girl,” I speak against her mouth. Taking hold of her face I pull back and stare into her dark eyes only they’re not dark with demons but dark with lust.
On our knees, arms wrapped around one another, mouths fused together the both of us wish tomorrow never comes.
But it does.
And I kiss Lacey goodbye, promise to come back to her and pray that I do.
I love you, girl.
ZEEFO Solar Lights Adjustable Outdoor Wall Light Motion Sensor LED
I am very impressed with this light. It is very bright. We live in the woods so to speak and it gets very dark at night. My back yard has a few trees in it that are really large and even with a full moon it very dark. My husbands workshop is set back from the house since they work on motorcycles, cars, and other wood projects and welding projects. So it is really dark out there. We hooked this light up on the corner of the building so it gets the sunlight during the day then angled it to the area right outside of his shop so he can see when he comes and goes. The be such a small light you would think it was a large flood light how bright it is. I love that it is weatherproof, but mostly because it is wireless. We didn't have to string an extension cord to gt light like before. This a solar light and even on cloudy days it charges well enough to give several hours of light. And my husband does not have to try and lock his shop up in the dark or figure out how to turn the lights off from the house like before.
Alotpower Baby Anti-lost Backpack with Safety Leash Mini Bag
This is absolutely the cutest little backpack I have seen. My 4 year old Grand Daughter fell in love with it and my Daughter did also. When we take the kids places I always worry about them getting away from us. Now with this anti loss backpack I wont have to worry as much. We live in Florida and like to go visit theme parks and places, so does the rest of the world. So these places get crowded year round. Finding a 4 year old in a sea of people is not easy and she is to big to be carried. The is has adjustable shoulder straps as well as a front strap the locks in the center of the chest so she cannot slip out of it. The strap is a little over 3 1/2 feet so plenty of room for the child to move around.
She doesn't understand the safety aspects but she does understand how to pack this sucker full of all of toys and stuff. I cannot believe how much stuff she was able to get in this small backpack. There is enough room for a change of clothing, diapers if child is still wearing them and even a sippy cup.
Pictek HDTV Antenna, 35Miles, Indoor Digital TV Antenna
I chose this for my mother. She does not have cable and during certain good weather she gets 1 or 2 channels of tv. We do live in the middle of a National Forest and town is quite a ways from us. This was extremely easy to install and no electricity is needed. Just screw it onto the jack in the back of the tv and lay it down. Done.  She does get a few more channels now and they do come in clearer. I am sure from the difference this has had that if she lived in town this would be awesome and she would not miss cable at all.
