GENRE: Contemporary Romance

BLURB:

BLOOD IS THICKER THAN INK…

Norah O'Malley has been alone for a long time. It’s been ten years since her father and four brothers shipped her off to be raised by her aunt. Seven months since she's seen the guy who got her pregnant—who still doesn’t know. And it’s two weeks since she came home to Chicago and discovered none of her family wants to talk—or listen.

She never expected to walk into a tattoo shop seven months pregnant and get her socks knocked off by instant attraction. She can’t even see her socks. But Kai Ellis is big and gruff and sexy as hell, and if he has a past, well, so does she. Even more, Kai knows how to listen so that Norah feels just a little less alone . . .

All the chemistry in the world can’t help Norah make her decisions. And no sizzle of desire will make Kai believe in happy endings. But a little time with someone who understands might just change everything . . .

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Excerpt One:
“I’m going to the store. You want me to get you anything?” Norah asked.
“Nah. I’m good.” Kai returned her smile and the tension between them dissipated.
“I’ll be a while since I have to go get books for your mom too. Do you know what kind of books she reads?” She didn’t know why she said it, but her mouth got away from her.
He shook his head.
“She reads romance. And not the longing looks from across a ballroom and maybe some hand-holding kind either.” Norah leaned a little closer and lowered her voice. “She made me read a sex scene to her last night.”
The look on Kai’s face was priceless. Even under the golden hue of his cheeks, a blush rose. “Christ, I’m sorry.”
Norah bent over on a peal of laughter. “If you could see your face . . .” Those were the only words she could handle because laughter stole her breath. She laughed until tears streaked down her cheeks. “Sorry. I just had this image of her asking you to read to her before bed.”
In truth, the deep, rumbly sound of his voice would be enough of a turn-on regardless of the words he read. Suddenly, she wanted the audiobook of that.
“Sorry,” she said again and they both knew it was an empty apology.
“It looks good on you.”
“Huh?”
“The uncontrolled laughter. It looks good. Even if I’m the butt of your joke. And for the record, I will not be reading porn to my mom.”
A giggle bubbled up in Norah’s throat, so she swallowed. She couldn’t afford to think of him and porn in the same sentence.
Excerpt Two:
How lucky Joseph died. The irreverent thought often popped into Sarah’s head these days. At the age of twenty-two, she’d married Joseph Gregg and moved to his farm. At the age of twenty-eight, she became a widow. Childless, she moved back home, soon discovering how much she was needed, even more so now.
Since they left Indiana, her parents had changed, and not for the better. Pa, the respected newspaper owner, had always been elegantly dressed in frock coat and brocade vest, never without his walking stick, watch, and top hat. Now he was hard to recognize in his flannel shirt, baggy pants, and scraggly beard. Ma, too, had always dressed in the height of fashion. She wouldn’t have been caught dead in the plain dress, sturdy boots, and white apron she was wearing now.
A look of sudden awareness crossed Ma’s face. She slammed a hand to her heart. “It’s almost dark. Where is that girl?” She leaped to her feet. “Florrie would never stay out this long. Something’s wrong. We’ve got to find her.”
Besiva Knife Sharpener, 3-Stage
Great knife sharpener. Works well on all types of knives including my ceramic knives. It is very easy to hold on to and only takes a couple of swipes to sharpen my knives. This sharpens with 3 types of sharpening stones. Slot 1 is coarse for actual sharpening. Slot 2 is fine which cleaning up the blade after sharpening and polishes it. Slot 3 is mainly for ceramic knives. There is a rubber bottom on the knife sharpener to hold it while sharpening so it does not slide around and you end up cutting yourself.
I was able to sharpen all of my knives I use regularly in just a few minutes. I hate dull knives. It makes it very hard to prep dinner and you also get cut more and worse on a dull knife then a sharp knife.
Mosiso Wireless DoorBell Chime
We have a large dog who for all intents and purposes is just a big old baby, but if he doesn't know you he cane be fierce. We have a gate that leads into the yard and it has a squeak to it. No matter where the dogs are they can hear that squeak and take off running to investigate. If you are a stranger a 45 pound pit bull running at you at full speed growling can be scary. Now with this Doorbell by Mosiso it may be a little better for people coming to my house. They can ring the bell at the gate and we can come out to meet them instead of the dog coming out to meet them.
I was able to install this by myself. The outside button just attaches to a screw on the fence post. It is waterproof and small. I put it in a very easy to see spot and it has been working great. The inside chime is quite loud and attached very easily to the wall. I put it in my hallway so I could hear it from either end of the house.
eBoot Crystal Glass Nail Files, 5-Piece
I am thrilled with my files. They work as good if not better then some of the ones I have used int he past. Even some of the very expensive ones.  These are so pretty as well. I love how the colors are dark at the top and fade into white. These are very strong and even though they are glass they can take a beating. I keep one in my purse and it has be dropped a few times even on cement and has not even chipped. I see these lasting for a very long time. With 5 in the pack I can even share with my Daughter's. These would make a nice addition to a beauty or nail gift basket or as an addition to Christmas Stockings.
Women's 6 Pack Sports Boy Short Cut Hipster Panties
Very comfortable panties. The material is very soft. I love that these are as stretchy as they are and do not have a elastic. During the summer the rubber in elastic can cause break outs. With these I don't have to worry about that.
There are 6 pairs in the package. I love how pretty the colors are and that the colors are light except for the black ones and these can be worn with any outfit. There are no bulky seems that can be seen even under the tightest of clothing. These are the boy short cut with a hipster waist. I tossed mine in the wash machine and dryer and they came out great. No shrinking, color fade or bleed.
Lucky Star Release Week Blitz
BOOK SYNOPSIS
Sarah
When I met Cameron we hit it off like macaroni and cheese. Now we’re practically inseparable but I’ve been hiding the fact that I’m in love with him. Truly, madly, deeply. He finally figured it out and everything changed between us forever. That’s not my biggest problem though. You see, Cameron just landed the role of a lifetime and, despite how he feels about me, I’m worried I’m about to play second fiddle to the bright lights and temptations of Hollywood.
Cameron
I think I’ve loved Sarah since the first moment I laid eyes on her. It goes without saying she’s funny, smart, and has curves for days, but it’s more than that. She’s my light in this cynical, messed up world called Hollywood. I’d do anything to be with her, but I keep screwing up what should be easy. Now the studio is pressuring me to date my new co-star to drum up interest in the movie and all I can think is maybe Sarah and I weren’t meant to be.
Lucky Star is a story about friendship, love, and surviving Hollywood with your heart intact. If you love reading about a sassy, fierce, independent heroine and a hero who isn’t afraid to wear his heart on their sleeve, this book is for you.
** Author’s Note: This book is an expansion of the Her Confessional novella series. This full length, standalone novel includes previously unreleased chapters and has been broadened to include Cameron’s point of view.
