Strong Hold Magnetic Wristband by Strong Hold Products

I married Mr. Fix It and he married Mrs. Crafty. So this awesome wrist band is coming in handy for both of us. He can hook keep up with screws and other metal objects while working on a project and I can use it for keeping up with pins, needles and other other metal objects in my crafts.  The magnets inside of the bracelet seems to be a very strong magnet and does great for both of us. The band is adjustable with velcro. So it fits his must larger wrist as well as my smaller one. I like that I can toss it in the washer when he gets it all dirty and greasy. The last thing I want is to be making something beautiful and have grease all over it. I will be getting a second one for myself, so I really don't have to worry about that. We have the blue one but I will be getting the red one so we can tell them apart while they are clean. The wrist band is about 14 inches long in total, so it goes around my wrist about twice.  The edge of the band is covered in a soft reflective material. It fits very comfortably.

Zeiss Non-Alcoholic Lens Wipes

In the mornings I grab my glasses before anything else, mainly because without my glasses I can't see anything else. My glasses are on every waking moment. The lenses get really dirty through out the day. I have a Grand Son who loves to touch my glasses. I do a lot of cooking, wiping sweat off at work, and so many more reasons for my glasses getting dirty. These little wipes are very convenient. I can keep them next to my desk, in my car, in my purse, in my pocket for that matter, They are ready to clean my glasses no matter where I am. I love that they are pre-moistened and I don't have to carry a bottle of cleaning solution or a small cloth with me like before. They are individually wrapped as well so no waste, and they shouldn't dry out unless you get a whole in the package. I am very happy with these wipes and how well they clean my lenses as well as being small and very handy.

NOVICA Teardrop Shaped .925 Sterling Silver Dangle Earrings, 'Raindrop Tears'

I love my new earrings from Novica. These are 2 tiered Sterling Silver teardrop shaped earrings. They have a french hook. Counting the hook they are about 1 3/4 inches long at their widest point they are about 3/4 inch.. They are very light weight, which I really love. I love dangle earrings but I don't like ones that feel like they are ripping my ear off. These by no means do that. I love the look of these the tear drop shape had little circles all the way around.

These earrings come in a very pretty cloth bag with a drawstring at the top. each earring in inside of a small plastic zip top bag so they do not bang around on each other, They also come with a small bifold card that tells about the designer of the earrings and tells about the earring style as well as its name. This particular earring style is named Raindrop Tears and was created by Komang Wijayana.

Novica is part of fair trade products in association with National Geographic. I really like that about them. Their earrings are a very nice and high quality earring. I know I will have and wear these earrings for years to come.

I received this product on a promotional discount for my honest review and they are 100% my own opinions. I received no compensation for this review and I am not required to give a good review. I am also not associated with the seller in any way.

NBTM: New York Night by Stephen Leather

New York Night
by Stephen Leather

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
GENRE: Horror/Supernatural
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

BLURB:

Teenagers are being possessed and turning into sadistic murderers. Priests can’t help, nor can psychiatrists. So who is behind the demonic possessions? Jack Nightingale is called in to investigate, and finds his own soul is on the line. New York Night is the seventh novel in the Jack Nightingale supernatural detective series.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Excerpt Three:
Cheryl Perez pulled the cork from the bottle of Chianti and sloshed it into a glass. She drank some and went through to her sitting room. She pulled open the drawer of a side table and took out the framed photograph of herself and Eric. It had been in the drawer for over a month – a new record. The photograph had been taken on New Years Eve three years earlier. They’d flown to Vegas for the weekend and seen in the New Year at a show in the MGM Grand. The casino’s logo was in the bottom right hand corner of the photograph. They were both a little drunk and they were holding hands either side of a champagne bucket that Perez was fairly sure contained their second bottle. Maybe their third. They had got so drunk that they had collapsed on the bed in their clothes and woken up the following morning still clothed and wrapped in each other’s arms. ‘You bastard, Eric,’ she whispered. ‘How could you leave me?’
She took the photograph over to the dining table and stood it in the middle. She sat down, drank some wine and then picked up one of the two pencils there. She drew a cross on the page, dividing it into quarters. She wrote YES in the top right and bottom left quarters, then wrote NO in the top left and bottom right. She took another drink of wine, then smiled lop- sidedly at the photograph. ‘I know, I know, it’s stupid and my soul will burn in Hell, but I have to try, don’t I?’
Interview with Stephen Leather
As a kid did you write or make up stories?
All the time. I remember writing plays at primary school (age 9-10) and setting up my own newspapers. I tried my hand at writing fiction while I was at university (studying biochemistry) but it was only after I had been a journalist for ten years or so that I was capable of producing quality work.
Where does most of your Character inspiration come from?
From people I have met, or seen on TV! I might take the physical appearance of one person, mix it with the dress sense of another, the accent of another and the views of another to create my own character, but pretty much everything I use is based on someone I have seen or spoken to.
Do some qualities of your characters come from real people?
Absolutely. Most of my books are thrillers so very much set in the real world, so the characters I write about are also based on real people. My thriller plots, too, are almost always based on something that has happened or could happen! Though as the Nightingale books are about devil worship and summoning demons, there is quite a bit of imagination involved, too!
What was the inspiration for your book?
I think the original inspiration came from the books of Dennis Wheatley that I used to read when I was kid, coupled with a love of horror movies, especially the films that were showing when I was growing up, like The Exorcist and The Omen.  The inspiration for the character Jack Nightingale was partly the Harry Angel character in the 1987 movie Angel Heart, played by Mickey Rourke. New York Night is the seventh book in the Jack Nightingale supernatural detective series. The first five were published by my UK publisher Hodder and Stoughton and were set in the UK. I am now self-publishing the books and have moved the character to the United States. The first self-published book was San Francisco Night and the next one will be Miami Night. Part of the inspiration for the books now comes from the city where they are set!
What is your favorite spot to write?
I sit in front of the TV with my Mac on a coffee table. I watch TV as I write and always have done.  I did most of my homework at school and university with the TV on, and most of my working life was spent in busy newspaper offices so I need a buzz around me as I work. Working with the TV on It helps when I need to describe a character’s clothing and the credits are always a good source of names! I drink a cup of coffee pretty much every half hour and my cat (one of three) Peanut Butter sits on the sofa next to me to keep me company. My second favourite place to write is in airports – all the comings and goings provide the buzz that I need!
What advice would you give budding writers?
Write every day and don’t be in a rush. It takes time to produce a good novel. A first novel could – perhaps should – take a few years.  And a first novel probably isn’t publishable. Writing is a craft that has to be learned. In the old days of publishing you needed an agent and a publisher before you were published, so there were experts who would decide whether or not your book was worth publishing. These days with self-publishing platforms such as Kindle Digital Publishing and Smashwords  anyone can publish anything. But just because you CAN publish something doesn’t mean you SHOULD. It’s worth taking the time to make sure that the first book you publish is the best it can be.
When you are published – or when you go ahead and publish yourself – the next challenge is to go out and publicise your work. I would advise against too much self-promotion – though I think blog tours are a terrific idea. I wouldn’t bother with Twitter – everyone seems to be shouting and no one is listening - but have an informative and interesting web page and a Facebook page. And have an email list that fans can sign up for – that way you are sending information to readers who are genuinely interested in hearing from you! And always respond personally. If a fan has made the effort to contact you, the least you can do is reply!
My advice would be to concentrate on your writing and the readers will seek you out. There’s nothing worse than a writer clamouring for attention, especially on social media. Best to concentrate on producing the best books you can and let word of mouth do the rest. In the long run, good books will always be noticed and they will sell.
Book Blast for Cassandra by J.M. Anton
Cassandra
by J.M. Anton
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

GENRE:  Contemporary Romantic Suspense

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BLURB:
Cassandra Hoffman orphaned at the age of five was raised by her maternal grandmother. Two decades pass when she is confronted with a letter from her father’s Denver based attorney. She's shocked to learn that her dad lived through the car crash that took her mother and brothers in 1985.
Casey’s haunted nights begin with the death of her father. Who is the shadow man in her dreams? Could it be her dad whom she had believed dead? She discovers he had another family, and some dark secrets Casey sets out to solve the mysteries of her abandonment, and find the answers to the nightshades that threaten her sanity.
Our heroine runs afoul of a previously unknown nemesis as she searches for answers, but she also finds the love of her life. He too abandons her, as he struggles with physical and mental wounds from multiple tours in the Middle East. Can Casey forgive him as they confront a mutual enemy?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Excerpt Two:

Rush hour in Denver was every bit as aggravating as rush hour in Cleveland. It was a frustrating fact of life everywhere that people needed to commute to a central work place. Traffic was at a standstill.

She overheard Ken call ahead to apprise Mr. Jackson, “We’re tied up in traffic, and will arrive later than anticipated.”

It sounded as if he were talking to someone other than Bob. Casey hoped the message would be relayed to him. As the thought flitted through her mind she gazed out at the passing cars and trucks also crawling along. Except for occasional glimpses of the majestic mountains, they could be stuck in traffic anywhere. The interstates were all the same and fairly uninteresting, especially within city limits. Casey found her mind wandering back to dinner the previous evening and her very brief encounter with Captain JD Gannon. She wondered where he was this morning. He’d been on his way to the airport when he left them, but that was all she knew. Well… not quite all—she knew that she could reach him through Bob Jackson, but she wasn’t sure she liked the feeling that he knew more of what was going on than she did. She couldn’t shake the idea that she should somehow remember him.

Finally, they reached their destination. Her nerves were already raw when she entered the elevator. As the doors began to close, a teenage boy thrust his arm through the gap, and they sprang back open. Casey watched him with a good deal of suspicion when he leaned against the frame of the elevator opening to keep the doors from closing. He grinned at her as he crossed his arms over his chest and turned his attention toward the lobby. Three stunning women entered the elevator.

Great, she thought, I’m trapped in an alien transport on my way to an alternate universe where all the women are tall, blonde, and have baby blues.  Or maybe, I’ve been cast in one of those films marketed to little girls that star the Barbie icon and her friends. The three were at least five foot ten, and—with the exception of the variation in age—they could have been cast from the same mold. The trio was regal, sophisticated, and aloof. Casey was sure the perfume they were wearing was every bit as expensive as their outfits, but she was fighting nausea from the scent within the close confines. The senior Barbie’s designer skirt hit about mid-knee; her navy-colored suit and pale blue silk blouse looked high end. The outfit probably cost more than Casey made in two weeks.

Aesthetically, she found the elevator hijacker a relief and a welcome contrast to the blondes with the heart-shaped faces and aristocratic airs. Nearly as tall as the women, he appeared to be in his early teens, that awkward, gangly, time of life. An engaging smile set off a mischievous twinkle in his hazel eyes. Outrageously long lashes and eyebrows of a slightly darker brown than his wavy hair enhanced those appealing eyes. His high cheekbones, square jaw, and a patrician nose with a sprinkling of freckles already commanded a second look. The freckles kept him from being a complete heartbreaker. She felt sorry for the teenage girls in his path; they wouldn’t stand a chance.

YazyCraft Elastic Cords White 1.8 mm 100 yards

I love this elastic cord. I do a lot of crafts and sewing. At the minute I am in the process of making 15 Easter baskets for the kids in our family. This is coming in so handy for helping me secure the lace to the baskets. I put a few drops of hot glue in different spots and it is great. It is very stretchy and is working so well for me. I am thrilled with this and will continue to buy more. I love that they have different colors as well. There is 100 yards on this spool so I can make tons of things with it before I run out. A lot of the spools are our craft store have a lot less for a lot more money. I am so happy to have found YazyCraft. I looked at their store and will definitely continue shopping with them.

ADTRIP 3.5mm Male to 2 Female Audio Y Splitter Cable

This is exactly what I have been wanting for my car. I like to listen to my mp3 player while driving and I also like having my phone at the ready. Now I can hook both to my auxiliary port. I can also turn on the DVD player in the car, give 2 kids headphones and drive in peace. So this is great for ll my needs. It is small and thin. The cable length is a little over 9 inches long, So it is not scattered all over the car getting hung up or in the way. I have enough wires with charging cables scattered all over my car. I am very happy with this Y splitter. The sound quality is great.
