My review
The Devil and Dayna Dalton is book 9 in the Bulwark series by Brit Lunden. I have been listening to this series by audiobook. Dan McGowan is the narrator and I just love how great he is doing with this series. This is a creepy series, not so much scary, but definitely creepy. Each book in the series is very short. Less then 2 hours on audio, great for a car ride or just a relaxing break.  This series does not have to be read in order. They are each written as stand alones. I do prefer to go in order but I went from book 1 to book 9 with no problems, I do want to back up and see what happens in 2 through 7 and beyond.

Bulwark is a small town in Georgia where weird things are always happening. In this book you are learning the story of Dayna Dalton. Dayna is a reportor in Bulwark. Her reputation or actually her mother's have sadly followed her throughout her life. Dayna was also a wild child. But really the only thing Dayna ever wanted was someone to love her unconditionally. She has a thing for the Sheriff and has had since high school. He does not feel the same for her. 
As a reporter she is stuck writing fluff stories. She has been waiting on that big story. Then she is attacked by a wolf and other strange occurrences happen that really get this book moving. 

Meet the Author:

Brit Lunden is a prolific author who’s written over 50 books in assorted
genres under different pen names. Bulwark was her first effort in adult
fiction and was chosen by several of her fellow authors as the basis
for a new series, A Bulwark Anthology. Using her characters, they are
creating new denizens in spin-off stories to this bizarre town. Brit
Lunden lives on Long Island in a house full of helpful ghosts.
