I listened to this book in one sitting more or less. In a small town the people have been taught that sacrificing a small boy is the only way to keep the town safe. What they don't realize is it is a demon convincing them. This is a creepy if not heart breaking story. Letting your own son be sacrificed is the norm. Until an outsider moves into town and his son is the chosen one.
Great book and great narration. The audiobook is 5 hours and 55 minutes long but I couldn't help but carry my phone everywhere I went that day to finish the story.
