He is an active performer of spoken word poetry. Ben Burgess Jr uses his love of writing to inspire and influence youths to strive for what they believe in and to never give up on their dreams. His novels "Monster" and "Wounded" are currently used in schools on the lower east side of Manhattan. Ben Burgess has a BA degree in Business Management and an MA degree in Educational Leadership. He is the proud father of his daughters Jaelynn and Jaclyn and he is active in trying to improve urban neighborhoods and communities.

Heavy Timber Structures by Anthony F. Zaya and Tim Diener

This stunning book of photos is from the Lancaster Co. Timber Frames Inc. It is a small compilation of some of their projects over the years.  The Lancaster Co Timber Farms build amazing wooden buildings from churches to historical reconstructions.  The pictures in the books show the different buildings they have had a hand in. Along with the finished pictures you get what I will call a blueprint of the wood they placed or used in building the structures.  There are also pictures of the construction. It is a very interesting book to look at and read.  The reading part is very short, so it only takes a couple of hours to get through the book.

I love photography books. The pictures in them can take you all over the world. This book is no different. In this book there are over 160 photographs of people. They range from babies to very old. Some have backgrounds others are just close ups of faces. There is beauty in everyone of these faces. Eyes are said to be the window to the soul. The eyes in these photos are very expressive and beautiful. The photos in this book range from the mid 1990's to 2016. They are from all over the world. There are no words in the book other than the introduction. The pictures themselves tell the tale in this book.

Owl Earrings Rose Quartz Love Stone Healing Dangle Women Girls Earrings

I love earrings. I am close to be addicted to earrings. I love the dangly ones the most. I also like owls. But one of my favorite parts of these earrings are they are made with Rose Quartz. Rose Quartz is one of my favorite stones. It is known as the love stone. It is the stone of the Heart Chakra. It is a feminine stone and also carries compassion, peace, tenderness, healing, nourishment and comfort. It is a beautiful light pink stone.

The stones in these earrings are natural stones. They are polished to a beautiful shone. The stones may differ a little bit in color and size sine they are natural stones. The metal Owl part is silver plated brass. The pendant is a little over 1 inch long. The back side of the earring is also silver plated and has a lot of air holes so the stone can breath. These earrings look heavier then they are. I really do not feel the weight as I am wearing them.

I have extremely sensitive ears and I did have to change out the french hooks to sterling silver to be able to wear these for more then a few hours. I have to do this with most earrings so I did not mind at all. I purchase the sterling silver hooks on amazon and they really are not expensive at all.

I am thrilled with my new earrings. They are so cute. I can wear them with most outfits as the pale pink goes with almost anything.

I love wearing crystal and stone jewelry. I fully believe int he healing powers of certain stones and crystals. I also love the beauty of the stones and crystals. For instance after I met and fell in love with my husband  I gave him a Rose Quartz to carry in his pocket. Rose Quartz is known as the love stone. Now it is 11 years later and one of the first things he puts in his pocket every morning is that same stone. he doesn't believe like I do but he carries it every day. It even goes in his pocket on the days we are just setting around the house.

This is a set of 9 pendants. Most of the stones are genuine. The ones that are listed and say Synthesis are not genuine The pendants are 1 of each of Turquoise (Synthesis), Opal (Synthesis), Tiger’s eye, Sodalite, Amethyst, Rose quartz, Green Aventurine, Yellow Aventurine, Blue sandstone (Synthesis). The pendants are about 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 inches ling. Each one has an alloy bail on it. The holes in the bail are large enough to put a chain or even leather cord through.

For about the price of 1 necklace I  have 9 interchangeable stones. I can wear which ever one goes with my outfit or which one I need for healing or grounding that day. Each pendant is tumbled and polished. These can be used in different types of jewelry making projects or other crafts. The set is really beautiful.
