he ran

disappearing into the night

leaving us all alone

we tried to follow him

but were unsure of the trees and trails

we went slowly

we knew something had happened

when we found his blades in the forest

blackened and alone

he had come

like a force of nature

wrecking our lives

in the name of freedom

freedom from what?

the hollow embers and ashes we found

I didn't build them

those ruins were his story

not mine

never mine

I...was happy

yeah, I was happy

is there something wrong with that?

my parents loved me

I didn't care about anything else

the dragons were bastards

but I understood the game

the moves that could be made

with one flick of a blade

he changed all

that

shattered the illusion with a roar of rebellion

now my life is here

in this forest

now he had vanished into the night

leaving me abandoned

leaving everything in shambles!

Meet the Author:

Joshua Pantalleresco writes stuff.  It's even on his business card.  This is a succinct way of saying that in addition to writing poetry, he also does interviews, columns, comics, prose and anything possible with the written word. When he isn't writing, he's playing with podcasts, filming stuff, fiddling with alternative medicine, travelling, talking to people and pretending he is a rockstar.  Stormdancer is his second book through Mirror World Publishing. He lives in Calgary.  

Trim Evolution Fruit Infusion Water Bottle

  This is a great bottle. It is leak proof, shatter proof, and BPA free. You can take it anywhere, in any kind of tote and don't have to worry about it pouring all over the place. 
   It has a large removable basket, it holds a good bit of fruits and veggies. The infuser is large enough to really pack the fruit or veggies to really get the flavor out of them. It can be used with or without the removable infuser. 
   It is dishwasher safe, but easy to clean with warm soapy water.  I am not big on drinking plain water so this bottle is great for people like me. I cut up some strawberries, tossed in some blueberry halves, and some pinched raspberries, let it set a few hours in the fridge, then shook it up and it was amazing. Now I don't mind drinking water. I love the clear purple lid, its kind of pretty.

Everything is securely placed in the kit. The kit is about the size of a cell phone. It has a very nice push lock closure. Creation Springs Precision Wet/Dry Nose and Ear Hair Trimmer Plus Salon Grade Micro-Groomer

So far we are very happy with this trimmer. It takes 1 AA battery to make it work, which is not included. It seems to have a very strong motor. It comes with the nose/ear trimmer it also has a small beard, mustache, side burn trimmer attachment. There is also a nice stand to keep it all together and a cleaning brush. This is water resistant, so could be used in the shower. When my husband used this to test it out he tried it on his ears, nose, mustache, and beard. He said it did not pull at all. It was fast to trim the hairs. The nose/ear attachment was not to big to fit in his ear or nasal holes. The beard trimmer worked great, I can attest to that, he looked great afterwards.
 This is a  nice trimmer and comes in a nice box. This would also make a great gift.

Electronic Foot File from Misslemo

  I am a barefooted hillbilly and very proud of it. My feet are a horrible mess though. There are callouses on my heels that are very dry and cracked, there are callouses on my big toes, and on the balls of my feet. I have used a few callous removers and the motors just don't seem to be strong enough to get through the rock hard spots on my feet. This set works both wet and dry and the motor is strong enough to break through the rock hard spots. It works quickly but also gently.
  In the box you get the callous remover,  2 sanding wheels, a cleaning brush, a lid to keep the sanding wheel safe when not in use, and an instruction book. This does need 2 AA batteries which are not included. I am very happy with this set. It could be given as a gift. It would also make a great part of a beauty or mani/pedi gift basket.

Smileto® Mini Triangle Wood Style Grain Thermometer Touch Sound Activated Desk LED Digital Alarm Clock(Brown case Red light)

This is a very nice clock. It is made of all wood except the control/battery box. It runs on either the included USB cord or 4 AAA batteries which are not included. I love the brown wood, it fits in with my bedroom and my desk area. The clock shows time and temperature. It works on 12 or 24 hour clock and the temp will show in Celsius or Fahrenheit. It also has the date. It has 3 alarms and also a weekend setting. The alarm is not very loud though, but if you are like me any and every noise will wake you up. There is a setting that the numbers stay on or they can be noise activated. I like that as I have trouble sleeping in lit rooms.Between the cable box and the various charges around our room it is already lit up like a Christmas tree. I love the triangle shape too. It is very modern looking. It is small and doesn't take up a lot room.

This little clock is just cute. It works on 4 AAA batteries or USB cord. The clock can be set to stay on all the time or it can be set to sound activation. Clap your hands and it shows the time. It also shows the temperature. The clock has 12 or 24 hour time and the temperature is Celsius or Fahrenheit. The clock it made of natural wood. The battery holder and control box is plastic. It is more grey in color then white.  It's about a 2 1/3 inch square in all directions. This clock does have an alarm but it is not very loud. I really like this little clock. it does not take up a lot of room. I really like that the numbers can be set to where they do not show at night. I don't sleep well in a lit room.
