BLURB:

Zoey DeLucca is a successful Michigan divorce attorney. Growing up the center of a bitter custody battle between her neglectful mother and her caring father convinced her to become a Family Law attorney and champion the father’s that seldom won in court.
Her handsome husband, Mickey, works for an oil development company. The money is great but as he climbs the corporate ladder, he must spend more time traveling and away from home.
It was love at first sight when they met in college. Their storybook marriage is the envy of all of their friends. They keep the spark in their marriage glowing red hot with wild, uninhibited behaviors in the bedroom. So why does the feeling of impending doom occupy Zoey’s thoughts?
Zoey’s Place is a modern erotic romance about bonding friendships and life’s lessons. See how Zoey handles the challenges that come her way. Experience her joys, fears, and unusual solutions.
This book contains explicit sex scenes and very mature subject matter. It is intended for adult pleasures only. So, turn on the fan, because it’s going to get hot!

Excerpt Two:

The look on his face told her that he was looking for her approval. She called it his puppy dog look. She could read his face like a newspaper. There were subtle quirks and twitches that were telltale signs of his emotional state that only she seemed to be able to pick up on. Her mind wandered to the childlike grin he had before he proposed to her, and she chuckled.

Their lovemaking was hard and intense. It was a good thing their bedroom was in the guest quarters above the garage and not connected to the house where everyone could hear them making loud, crazy love. Zoey’s climactic groan of pleasure could have woken the dead.

AUTHOR Bio and Links:

E.M. Bannock grew up in the Detroit suburbs. She is the second child of seven and eldest daughter of a working class family. Her parents had traditional, old style, European ideals which clashed with her modern, adventurous personality. The daughters were not encouraged to attend college. Instead they were expected to get married, have children, and be homemakers.

Her father was a great storyteller and sparked her love for writing. In high school she enjoyed writing short stories and poetry. A small inheritance from her father gave her the funds needed to begin her career as a published author. She has published two books, Totally Devoted, which is also available in audio, and Zoey’s Place.

Born with the wanderlust, she found herself in Los Angeles. LA was an exciting place to be in the early 70’s and she experienced all that it had to offer. She met her husband there.

Marie and her small family have lived in California, Oregon, Alaska, Florida, and Wyoming, where she now lives with her small family which includes a spoiled dog and cat, two horses, also spoiled, and a brood of chickens that live like queens in the chicken-coupe-de-ville.

She has made her living as an office manager, computer programmer/analysts, project manager, clothing sales person, substitute teacher, and buffalo meat packer. Throughout it all, she never lost her love for writing.
E.M. Bannock is a Goodreads Author, a BookHub Author, a member of the Romance Writers of America, and a Rocky Mountain Fiction Writer. Her book, “Totally Devoted” is a finalist for a 2019 NERFA (National Excellence in Romance Fiction Award) in two categories.

Interview with E.M. Bannock:

1. What is your favorite part of this book and why?

There are so many, it’s hard to choose. I throw myself into my books when I write and I experience everything that happens to my characters. I live through them and experience everything they encounter, be it good or bad. In Zoey’s Place I have my favorite sad part, my favorite happy part, and my favorite sexy part. Who am I kidding? I like all of the sexy parts. If I have to choose one, it would be the ending but I can’t tell the readers how it ends or it would spoil it.

But seriously, I really enjoyed writing about Zoey and her husband, Mickey, and the fantastic relationship they have. They share a true and romantic love. Their kind of love is a rare thing, they know it and treasure it.

2. If you could spend time with a character from your book whom would it be? And what would you do during that day?

I would love to spend a day with Fenella Webber. Fen, as she is known to her friends, becomes a very good friend to Zoey. She is the wealthy wife of Mickey’s business associate and spends her days doing fund raising and charity work. This may be the fantasy of a more mature woman but I would have a total ME day with her. I just know she could book us in at an exclusive day spa where you get pampered, massaged, and fed gourmet food and drink. Oh, yeah!

3. If you could have been the author of any book ever written, which book would you choose?

This is a pretty easy one. It would have to be my very favorite book of all time, Outlander, which was written by Diana Gabaldon. That book changed my life forever. The hero, Jamie Fraser, is the King of Men. He becomes the secret love of any woman who reads the series. He’s an 18th century Scottish highlander that is handsome, tall, romantic, a great lover, a warrior, the perfect husband, and always knows the right thing to say. There are eight, soon to be nine, books in the series and in everyone, Jamie is the best part of the story. I am in awe of Ms. Gabaldon. I am humbled by the mind that imagined and created such character, let alone the many mind-blowing adventures of the Fraser’s. Each book leaves you wanting more. Diana Gabaldon is the goddess of authors as far as I’m concerned.

4. Are your characters based off real people or did they all come entirely from your imagination?

I use lots of names of friends and family in my books. I also use names of my pets. The majority of my characters share characteristics of people I know. I actually use writing as a kind of therapy and there are parts of my books that mimic parts of my life. My friends and relatives know what parts they are as soon as they read them. I think all authors, whether consciously or not, put parts of themselves in their characters. I often refer to my books as my babies.

Being an observer in this thing we call life for some years now I’ve seen and known many different types people who supply me with a treasure trove of traits and attitudes to borrow from. A fun part of being an author is that you can create any kind of person you want for your book. I love writing and have fun creating my cast of characters.

5. What made you want to become a writer?

My father was a great storyteller and had a great imagination. I think I got that part of him because my imagination is never turned off. I can create a story from a line in a song. Writing has always been easy for me. Like a lot of people, I always dreamed of writing a book. But life had a way of keeping me too busy. It wasn’t until I was able to stop working full time that I had the time to write my first book. And it wasn’t until my dad passed away that I was able to have the funds to publish it. So, I guess I owe it all to him.

When I get feedback from my readers, I get shivers up my spine. It’s so gratifying to be able to share my love stories with people. I’m not famous (yet) and I certainly can’t make a living from my royalties but the experience of creating and sharing my stories is my greatest joy and my greatest addiction.
