BOOK TOUR: The Five Truths About Work-Life Balance by Jae Ellard

Book Description for The Five Truths About Work-Life Balance:

Work-life balance has nothing to do with work. Really. It also doesn't matter what words you use to describe it. The fact is, most people share a similar desire to create easy joy and meaningful engagement across the roles, relationships and responsibilities that make up life.

Our current habits and perceptions often get us stuck and prevent us from creating the life we desire. Get unstuck, learn the truths about work-life balance.

Interview with Jae Ellard
1. There are many books out there about work-life balance. What makes yours different?
It short, it’s illustrated and simple to understand. There is no magic one-size-fits-all answer. It boils down to choice, this book helps create clarity around how our choices either support or sabotage desired outcomes for balance.
2. You also teach the concepts from The Five Truths at workshops and keynote speaking engagements. How do audiences respond to your work?
Most people walk away feeling very empowered knowing that the choice is theirs to create the type of balance they are seeking. They also have a bit more clarity around what that balance actually means to them and how to have conversations about it with the people in their life.
3. How do you balance your teaching, speaking and writing time?
Because writing has been such a part of my life for so long it’s like breathing for me, I basically don’t leave the house until I’ve had my morning writing time. The rest is about having a great support team in the office to help make sure I’m where I need to be when I need to be there!
4. What's the strangest thing that has happened while teaching?
Where do I begin – talking about work-life balance around the world is breeding ground for strange things to happen. In a workshop in Russia someone shared out loud to his work team that he likes to have sex to reduce stress! I’m sure others might have thought it before – but he’s the first and only (to date) to ever share it with a whole room of people.
5. Do you have a favorite travel spot?
The world is too amazing to have only one favorite place to visit! High on the list are anywhere in Italy, Vienna, Copenhagen, Paris, Munich, Santiago, and Aspen.
6. Where do you get inspiration for your writing?
By doing the work and contemplating the struggles people share with me. When teaching workshops or consulting with clients I hear firsthand what drives imbalance and impact to work teams, families and health. I listen, I research, I meditate and I write and repeat as needed.
7. What is your next project?
I’m really interested in continuing to help people have conversations they want to have but don’t know how to have or are fearful to have with themselves or others. It sounds really simple to say what you mean, but simple doesn’t mean it’s easy to do.

36 Water Soluble Colored Pencils Set w/ Tin by Evergreen Art Supply

I love the adult coloring books and love using coloring pencils to color them with. I have been looking for  great set of coloring pencils and finally found one. This set comes with 36 pencils in a very nice tin box. Indie the tin the pencils are laid out in a plastic tray. They tin and the try keep the pencils safe and together. I really love the wide array of colors. I like that the leads are not crayon soft so I don't have to continuously sharpen them, but yet they are soft enough to get great coverage on my pictures. This set will actually save me money over using gel pens and markers as well, since they will last a lot longer. This set is nice enough to give as a gift as well.

Lasasa Baby Girl Newest Turban Headbands

Really adorable turban look headband for babies and girls alike. I even tried one on and it fit me. There are 6 in the pack in different colors. The bands are very stretchy and soft. They have a small flower on them made from the same soft material. Each flower has a matching outline stitching to set the flower off. These are also great for using as pony tail holders. There is nothing sharp or able to catch and pull the hair. My Grand Daughter has very long hair and keeping the hair out of her face is sometimes a problem. Her hair is still baby fine so barrettes do nto stay in her hair well. This did stay in her hair pretty well. When these get dirty, toss in the wash machine.

Lasasa 5PCS Baby Girls Crown Headbands Toddler Princess Hair Bands

Absolutely adorable headbands. The shiny crowns on stretchy headbands are just to cute. These can be worn for babies and even older girls. I put one on my head and it fit, that's how stretchy they are. The crown itself is a shiny glittered ribbon like material, that is stiffened just a bit so it stands up. It has rhinestones at the peaks on the crown as well. These are adorable on little girls. My Grand Daughter loves anything to do with dress up and princesses. She flipped when she saw these. There are 5 headbands in the set all in different colors. These can be matched with just about any outfit. When they get dirty they an be washed as well.

Number 1 Mom Wine Glass 13 oz by Got Me Tipsy

I am in love with this beautiful wine glass. The looks of it is just awesome to me. I am keeping this one for myself. I love the glassware from Got Me Tipsy, and have to admit I have gotten tipsy a few times with their glassware. The awesome wine glass holds 13 ounces. #1 is in a small white hart above and to the left of the large letters of MOM, and there are 3 small different sized hearts also above the word MOM. The letting is on very well and does not scratch off. This would make a great gift for any Mom for mother's day or any gift giving reason. My Daughter who is also a mom saw mine and begged for it, to no avail of course, I'm keeping it!! The wine glass comes in a very nice box suitable for gift giving. Inside the wine glass is well wrapped in a long sheet of bubble wrap. I have never gotten anything from this company that was not top quality.

Car Sticker 3D Decal - Real Tennis ball 1 Pad by Sunny

Really cool looking busted window looking sticker. This actually has 1/2 of a real tennis ball on it. This sticker when stuck to your automobile window looks like a ball sticking half out of the broken window. The sticker is very sticky and looks like it will stick very well even through the weather and car washes. The sticker at its widest points are just over 7 inches across. Make sure your window is cleaned and dried before sticking the sticker on for best results. Looks great on any window that doesn't roll down.
