GENRE: Fiction/Romance

BLURB:

Step into a world of riveting drama.  Enter A Separate Heaven, a story comprised of power, wealth, and romance, multifaceted characters, and complex relationships.  A novel by Alex Disanti.  From Long Island to the shores of the Mediterranean, this exciting series spanning twenty five years in the lives of the Gianelli and Hamilton families will hold you spellbound.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A romantic thriller that’s a blend of the best…Two hot leads, first-class locations, great dialogue, clever plot twists, and a memorable supporting cast make this cinematic book a movie just waiting to happen.
Alex Disanti uses her characters masterfully to develop this epic saga.  Spanning two continents and two very powerful families, her tale is so fast paced and filled with surprises you won’t want to put it down.
The suspense builds as Paul Hamilton's betrayal of Dominic Gianelli fuels the D.A. to action.  A fiasco of events causes Paige to fall ill and nearly costs her life.  Dominic learns of the vile and duplicitous acts by his father-in-law and the D.A.  Sacred boundaries have been crossed and forgiveness is not an option.
Excerpt One:
Excerpt one from Book One
On October 2, 1980, Dominic Gianelli entered the offices of Carson, Wiehls and Fullerton. A client for only weeks now, his arrival caused a flurry of activity among the staff.  Even the most experienced members of the investment firm were on edge. Henry Carson, owner and senior partner, was nervous and unsettled, completely out of character for him, but this was no ordinary client.
Gianelli was an enigma, recognized internationally in the business world and his accumulated assets were reported to be prodigious. Little else was known about him, although his penchant for two things, accuracy and privacy, had been evinced at their first meeting.  He seemed to have come on the scene quickly, yet his profile revealed more than twenty years of steady, well-planned acquisitions and disposals.  With as many European contacts as domestic, he was well respected here in New York.  After all, one did not ignore this kind of wealth and, therefore, power.
He was a big man, six-feet, three inches in height, 270 pounds. Immaculately groomed, he had brown eyes and short, dark, slightly thinning hair combed back from his forehead.  He seemed, by nature, a rather quiet man with low tolerance for the frivolous or inept.  He had an air of confidence that was not lost on those who met him.  Gianelli was a man comfortable with himself. When he entered a room, he owned it, and he knew it.
AUTHOR Bio and Links:
Alex Disanti lives in the Texas Hill Country.  While writing has been a lifelong love for her, A Separate Heaven is her first novel.  Early works were mainly poetry and short stories.  As A Separate Heaven progressed from thought to paper, friends and family began reading the manuscript.  Then, in an effort to test the marketability of the material, she enlisted the aid of what she calls her “test readers.”  These readers vary in age, occupation and background.  It simply grew from there.  Alex’s rich detail brought the characters to life, and the ensuing chapters could not come quickly enough for her readers.
Interview with Alex Disanti
As a kid did you write or make up stories?
Oh, yes. By the age of nine I was writing poems and short stories.
Where does most of your Character inspiration come from?
My imagination mostly, but sometimes from people I either like or dislike, and sometimes the need for escapism has provided me with awesome characters.
Do some qualities of your characters come from real people?
At times, yes. I find that if you have strong feelings about someone, whether those feelings are positive or negative, they come in handy when writing.
What was the inspiration for your book?
For A Separate Heaven, I was not trying to write. It was probably the furthest thing from my mind at that point in my life.  The characters and the story quite literally simply came to me. Perhaps it was the need for escapism during a difficult time.
What is your favorite spot to write?
I can create mentally almost anywhere.  I never use outlines. But when I sit down to my computer, I prefer quiet.
What advice would you give budding writers?
My advice never changes.  Perseverance, a strong belief in yourself and your project and don’t take critics seriously.  They have opinions but you are the writer. You are the one putting yourself on the line.
Thank you for having me as your guest today!
shopping cart cover for baby, infant from masmuki
My Daughter thinks I am mommy of the year because I go this for her and the kids. My grand Son is teething and chewing on everything at this point. Even shopping cart handles. She always grabs one of the cloths at the front of the store and wipes down the shopping cart but I have to agree with her that it is just not a good thing for him to be chewing on the handle. Now with this awesome and adorable shopping cart cover she no longer has to worry about him even touching the handle or any other part of the shopping car for that matter. This is a very large and plush cart cover. It is great if he falls over in the seat he is protected from the metal of the cart. This is washer and cool dryer safe. She did not notice any fading when she washed it. This would make a awesome gift for any new mom. It folds up into itself and makes a great pouch which fits nicely into a diaper bag. It also comes in a clear plastic zippered bag.
Babi Bambino BEST BABY DIAPER BAG, CLASSY STROLLER TOTE With REMOVABLE STRAPS
I love this diaper bag. It looks more like a large purse then a diaper bag. It has plenty of room for everything baby will need plus I can put my items in it as well. There is a larger should strap that is detachable as well as having the over the arm straps which have a leather look. The bag also snaps shut at the top. It also has attached stroller straps. There is a large pocket on the back, perfect for a changing pad, tablet, or whatever. Inside there is the main pouch which features 3 pockets on each side, great for bottles, powders, lotions, whatever. The large section can hold lots of diapers, extra clothing and blankets, as well as my small pocket book, or just tossing my wallet in.
  This can be tossed in the washer when it gets dirty. It is not plastic like the old fashion diaper bags. You can even use it when baby is not in tow. It is very nice looking and I love it. It is not as heavy as it looks either.
Homar Cut Resistant Gloves
I love to cook, and I am a from scratch cook. These gloves are coming in handy. I end up with cuts and nicks on my fingers quite often but now my fingers will be protected. I used them just this morning grating carrots, celery, and onions for a chicken stew. I was actually able to grate the carrots all the way down and not worry about taking the tip of my finger off. I was very pleased I didn't not have to waste any of the foods, or having to finish it off with a knife. I also used this glove when deboning the chicken. It worked great. Chicken and other meats can be quite slippery. These gloves also helped me hang onto the meat. My gloves are now in the dishwasher. These could be tossed in the wash machine as well.
  These gloves are my new favorite kitchen gadget. These would make a great gift for anyone who enjoys cooking. They would also make a great piece in a kitchen gift basket.
Cedarwood 100% Pure Essential Oil -10ml- By: Natural Acres
 I love essential oils. I have diffusers all over my house and I also love using essential oils for their healing qualitites. Cedarwood is great for relaxing and relieving stress. It is also great for your skin and hair. Just add a couple of drops to shampoo or lotion. Cedarwood essential oil has a woodsy scent. It is a little different then the old fashioned cedar chests though. It can be strong if you use too much, start adding 1 drop at a time to diffusers so it does not get over powering.
  This bottle of cedarwood oil from Natural Acres comes in a amber glass bottle which will help protect the oil from harsh lighting which will ruin the oil. Oils should be kept in a cool dark place. Natural Acres oils are 100% pure oils and throw a great scent. I have several oils from Natural Acres and all of them are great.
Baby Pacifier Holder from Babymals
  This pacifier holder by Baby Mals is adorable. It is a super soft plush dog. Th stuffed dog itself is about 6 x 6 inches and about 1 1/2 inches at it's thickest point. This also comes with a pacifier which has a safety cover on it. The pacifier clips to a strip of soft velcro handing from under the chin of the stuffed dog.  You do not have to use the provided pacifier, any pacifier that has a ring on the end will work. The stuffed dog is wash machine safe. It should air dry though instead of going in the dryer. This stuffed dog also has a squeeker toy in the stomach area of the dog.
   There are no pieces on the stuffed dog to cause a choking hazard. The parts of the dog all seem to be stitched together very well. It is very light weight and also should not cause any suffocation issues even in small babies. I would always keep a watch though, with kids you just never know.
  This would also make a great shower gift.
