One look. One drink. A friendly conversation between two strangers.
A divorced mother of two. A younger man married to his job.
A chance meeting at the airport.
What are the odds of them sharing a plane together?
Quite slim.
Fate had another plan for them.
All it took was one more look and their lives were changed without them knowing about it.
A weekend of fun turns into something more than just…
Leave a sign on the door, DO NOT DISTURB.

After checking into the hotel, I decided to go all out for this weekend. My friends will be in tomorrow for the wedding. Tonight, I have the penthouse suite all to myself. Well, not myself. I walk toward Lennox, he was waiting in the bar area. That rugged smirk appears across his face. I approach him, “I’m on the very top floor. 1305. Let’s go.”
I grab his hand and lead him to the elevator. When we get into the elevator, I pounce on him causing him to startle back. Our lips interlock. Our tongues start dancing. My hand reaches down to his belt buckle, I start to fiddle with it. He pulls away. My teeth clench down on his bottom lip. “Fuck, woman. Anxious much?” he groans, as I release his lip.
I purr, “You’re all my tonight. So be ready?”
“Well, okay then,” he smirks.
The elevator door opens up and we walk down the long, dim-light hallaway. It was like a scene from a music video. While holding his hand, I lead him down the orangish-red carpet to my room at the end. It’s been too damn long since I have been with a man. Jonathon was my last. After the divorce, my focus with my children and career. Tonight is going to be different. My focus is getting fucked while fucking his brain out. All this built up tension is about to unleash on this poor pup. Jonathon might have been the last man I fucked but that doesn’t mean I’m not shy when exploring more. I’m going to make Lennox my bitch tonight. I love that he is on board. Men, they truly think with their second head.

We make it to the door. While I fiddle with my phone to get the room barcode to open the door, he wraps his strong arm around me and squeezes me, bringing me close to his body. His breath hits my neck causing my body to shiver. Then hello lips, he nibbles my neck. Goodness, I need the code asap. Finally, the barcode appears in my wallet and I open the door. Both of us dragging our luggage, we stumble into the suite. He releases me from his hold. I turn around, pushing my luggage to the floor. He stands just a few feet from the doorway. I demand, “Close the door. But first put up the sign that says ‘Do Not Disturb’.”

Marlowe:
Christopher Marlowe battles his destiny to get back to the present and to the love of his life, Tam Paradiso. But when he finally escapes Tudor London for modern-day Philadelphia, it’s two years in Tam’s past, and she has no idea who he is. He can comfort her as she mourns her dead father and charm her family as they accept that Tam’s destiny is linked with his. He can even help her fight the mysterious rain spirit responsible for a series of grisly murders. But can he make her fall in love with him all over again?

Paradiso:
After two years as an undercover vice officer, Tam Paradiso wants out. She belongs in the homicide division as a detective like her father was. But she’s up against her partner, the beautiful and reckless Ava Knox, for the job. When Tam’s father dies suddenly, she reaches her low point. Still, she must solve a serial murder case, keep her interfering family at bay, and fend off a crazy, sexy time traveler who claims they are lovers in her future. At least her murder suspect is a human villain, not a supernatural one. Or is it?

L. E. Towne continues her time-travel saga in BATTLE FOR DAYLIGHT, a heady blend of suspense, sex, and the supernatural. Silver-tongued Elizabethan playwright Christopher Marlowe charms his way back to the side of scrappy vice cop Tam Paradiso. In a narrative pebbled with literary and historical nuggets, nothing slows the pace as Tam and Marlowe hunt monsters and hammer out a relationship. Threats abound—a serial killer, a mysterious rain spirit, a smarmy lieutenant, and time itself, which any moment might snatch Marlowe from Tam’s grasp. This second volume in the Crescent Moon Chronicles is as exciting as the first. –Nancy Young, author of Something in the Dark Series
