PRO-SYS® Kids Toothbrush - Ages 2-5

As a Nana to 11 Grand kids I have a lot of kids in and out of my door. A lot of them spend a lot of nights as well. So I keep toothbrushes for each child. Most of the ones we have are the cutesy kind with cartoon characters that each child has picked out for themselves. When I replaced some of their toothbrushes with these they were like Nana how come you didn't get me Frozen or Sponge Bob. So they don't have the kid factor to them. They are brightly colored. They are easy for the little ones to hold in their hands. The bristle bed is small enough to get in their mouths but large enough to actually clean the teeth. I really like the fact that they are about the same size a other toothbrushes. I keep caps on the toothbrushes since the kids are not with me daily, that way the bristles are protected from dust and germs. It is unclear if these are the same as the adult brushes I have used int he past from Pro Sys about them being bacteria resistant but I would imagine they are.

DPIST® Office Supplies Pens 10pcs Gel Ink RollerBall Pens

These pens are super cute and so far they write really well. I love using gel ink. It seems to write a lot smoother then regular ink pens. Once it is dry it does not smudge either.

There are 10 ink pens in this set all with very cute deigns on the outside. On the inside they all hold a different color gel ink. The set comes in a very nice plastic case that locks closed for taking on the go or just for storing the pens. The clip on the lid of the pen tells you what color each pen is. These pens are great for writing, doodling, using with adult coloring books, or whatever you want to write on.

SoJourner Bags USA American Flag Stars and Stripes Fanny Pack

It is 4th of July weekend and my awesome bag has arrived in time for me to wear it this weekend to St. Augustine Florida. Which means I will be doing a lot of walking and picture taking and I won't be carrying a purse with me!! Everything I want to carry fits perfectly in this fanny pack and I will have room for things I may pick up along the way. My phone, 2 cameras, power bank, wallet, chapstick, sunscreen, keys, and a few other essentials are already in the bag, The bag looks small from the outside but the inside is almost a bottomless pit. I could even carry lunch on the bag if I wanted to, but I think I will have my husband bu me lunch at one of the awesome restaurants there.

There are 3 zippered compartments on the bag. One on front, one on top, and one on the back. This has a very adjustable belt to it that will go from 15 inches to 48 inches. So even the kids could wear one of these bags, if I were taking kids with me.  When the bag gets dirty I can toss it in the wash machine.

I am extremely happy with this bag and I am in love with the patriotic red, white, and blue. I am even more thrilled I have it for the holiday. Shipping was fast and packaging was great too.

Beaumont Kitchenware Heavy Duty Baking Rack with ½" Grids

I love to cook and bake. I have used several different cooling racks in my time but I really love this one.

Most of the cooling racks I have used have large holes or slats in between and things like cookies or other softer items tend to slip into the crevices of the cooling racks. I also like to use cooling racks for things like french fries or other fried foods so some of the grease drips off instead of laying them on paper towels and they end up soaking in the grease or oils. With the larger cervices the fries would just fall through. These small square openings in this cooling rack are perfect for any thing I want to lay on top of it. Nothing tends to fall through.

I am so happy I have this one now. Clean up is simple, put it in the dishwasher. It is made of stainless steel so should never rust. It has about 1/2 inch tall legs on it so no matter what I set on it it will not be soaking in oil.

I received this product during a promotion free for my honest review and they are 100% my own opinions. I received no compensation for this review and I am not required to give a good review. I am also not associated with the seller in any way.

Read an Excerpt:

The root cellar was a small space with a low ceiling. At one point, it probably smelled of apples and potatoes, but now, there was nothing but the scent of lawn mower gas, dirt, and cold stone. Poppy reached into the darkness, searching for the light bulb string. Her fingers connected, and she pulled it on with a click.

“Gladys?”

Weak light illuminated the usual garden-equipment clutter. Rakes and shovels were piled against a stone wall. Several cans of gasoline sat next to an old lawn mower. Bags of fertilizer and garden fungicide sat beside them. Gladys was nowhere in sight.

A rustle sounded from a darkened corner. Fully expecting to see a rat or trapped bird, she held the bulb in such a way to throw light on it. The door slammed shut behind her.

“Geez!” Poppy lost her grip on the light. The swinging bulb cast rising and falling shadows on the walls. She made a move to push the door open when the lightbulb suddenly shattered, leaving her in darkness.

“Gladys?” Poppy kicked herself for not waiting until morning, when Dante could have accompanied her. The grating sound started up from the corner of the room. It ran slowly along the ground until it stopped in front of her. That’s not Gladys. You walked right into this one.

She clutched the jar to her chest, her heart thumping. “I have the locket, if that’s what you want.”

The answering silence lay across the cellar like a shroud.

“I’ll make you a deal. You leave my dead alone, and I’ll leave the locket right here.” Her voice sounded against the close confines. “Good luck with the sea salt, if that matters.” Poppy inwardly cringed as she felt a trickle of blood from her nose. Dammit. She attempted to put up her barriers, but it was too late.

A heaviness descended upon her shoulders like a mantle. Something lashed out and scratched the skin of her throat.

My Review:
I could not put this book down, My husband practically had to drag me to bed. This is an awesome story. At times it is kind of creepy, at times a little scary. I want really scared just a little unnerved during a few parts.
    The book is about Poppy. She is a mortician at Skyview funeral home. She has the gift of seeing the dead.  She talks to her deceased as eh calls them and helps them to figure out if they have unfinished business or just helps them to cross over. As she is tending to the bodies she carries on conversations with them. Until one day someone starts stealing her deceased's spirits before they have a chance to cross over. Not only is he stealing her deceased he is also after Poppy's soul as well. Poppy and her very close friend and the director of the funeral home Dante must figure out a way to put this awful spirit to rest and keep Poppy alive in the meant time.
    My only thing I didn't love about this book is I really wish there had of been an epilogue. I would really love to know the after story. The book kind of ended a bit abruptly to me.
   The characters in this book are from another book called Stuck also by Clarissa Johal which I have not read yet. This is a stand alone book and really did not need Stuck in order to follow any of this book.

Book Blast for Drop Dead Handsome by M.K. Scott

Drop Dead Handsome
by M.K. Scott

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
GENRE: Cozy Mystery
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

BLURB:

The Painted Lady Inn is open for business and limping along in the B and B world. A high school reunion package assembles Donna’s least desirable classmates, including the backstabbing cheerleader, her narcissistic high school crush, and Arnie, whose cheesy poem had everyone calling her, hot mama. It’s all something she liked to forget. These are the normal guests.

An octogenarian self-proclaimed sleuth, Father Christmas, a dognapping couple, and a pair who is copying everything in the Inn to set up their own competitive establishment rounds out the group. Maria, the sister-in-law, has a matchmaking agenda for Donna. Daniel, her brother, finds himself serving as a referee with one guest’s multiple wives.

High school reunions can be murder. Detective Mark Taber is on the trail of the murderer, when he isn’t interfering in a smitten Arnie’s determined bid to woo the no nonsense innkeeper.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Excerpt Four:
Arnie stepped into the room, threw his suitcase on the bed, while still cradling the basket. He slowly turned around taking in the entire room. “Not bad. Actually, it’s pretty nice.”
At last, someone who appreciated the effort she had put into the room. Her shoulders went back. Maybe she’d been too hard on Arnie.
For a chick’s room.”
Chick’s room, really? “Why do you think it’s a chick’s room?” She liked to think all her rooms were appropriate for any gender.
Arnie placed the basket on the drum table with the floral light. “Hmm, the ruffles, the flowers, the room smells like perfume.”
Yeah, hers.
He walked over to the rocker and picked up the romance novel she’d been reading. He brandished the book. “No self-respecting man would be caught reading this drivel. Mindless nonsense.”
His remark stopped her from asking for her book back. The best she could do would be to sneak back in and snatch it while cleaning. “It might do you some good to read it. Shouldn’t judge something you’ve never taken the time to read.”
Well, she’d gone and blown her excellent innkeeper behavior. “I dare you to read it.”
He blinked once, and then smiled. “Challenge accepted.”
