Dual Compartment Insulated Lunch Bag by Sacko
My husband carries his lunch to work every day. He does not have time to run out and grab lunch and there really is no place to get lunch close by his job. He has been carrying the same old lunch box for almost 2 years and the plastic insulated liner in his is starting to tear, so it was time for a new one. This one is working perfectly as his replacement. It is actually larger then the one he had. It has a top pouch for carrying things besides his lunch as well. There is plenty of room inside the lunch box for all his needs as well. I pack him left overs from dinner every day. So there is plenty of room even for the days he needs more then 1 bowl. The bag is insulated. It has a handle on it as well as a shoulder strap. We can also use this lunchbox for picnics. It fits very nicely in the tour trunk of the motorcycle and is soft sided. We could even take this with us to the beach. Put our lunch in it and bring home the wet sandy bathing suits inside of it so we don't get sand all over the car. This can be tossed in the washer when it gets dirty as well.
The lunch box is 9.5" W x 9.5" H x 6" D. The pockets are zippered. The zippers are sewn in very well. There is even a small pocket on the front. Great for the beach since we can put ID, credit cards, cash, and the keys inside it. The shoulder strap is adjustable.

Rotary Cutter by Evergreen Art Supply
This is my first rotary cutter and I am just amazed at how well it works. I wish I had of discovered this way before now. I have been cutting everything and kicking myself for not getting one of these before now. This cuts paper and material with an ease I never knew existed. I went out and bought a cutting pad and bought replacement blades. The blades worked perfectly with this cutter. I am so happy with this cutter, I will never use scissors again on big jobs and probably not on some little jobs either.
The handle is made of plastic. You have to squeeze the handle for the blade to engage but it does not wear out your hand to squeeze it. The blade that comes on it is very sharp and even cut denim like it was nothing. Make sure to keep this out of reach of children.

Broom holder and Garden Tool Organizer by Berry Accessory
I have been wanting a broom holder for a while now. I have wood floors so needed something that will hold all of my floor cleaners, brooms, swifters, dust broom, mop, things like that. I have them all in a broom closet but when I open the door I get attacked by handles. This is perfect. It holds all of the floor cleaners and with the 6 hooks it also holds the dust pan, a bag of plastic bags, the little hand brush, and other small helpers. I am loving this broom holder. It has worked out so much better then I imagined it would. Now I need another one for the yard tools, shovels, rakes, hoes and things like that.
The holder is made of plastic but it seems very strong. The handles do not slip out of the the hangers. The hangers grab a hold and don't let go until you pull gently on them. The hangers are spring loaded and work great. The hooks fold down when not in use to protect them from getting broken. The bar is a little less then 16 inches long, fits perfectly on the door of my broom closet.

Keekoon H.264 P2P Wireless IP Security Camera
I love this IP Security Camera. This camera was so easy to set and install. I can put it in any room of the house with the Wi-Fi. The app was really easy as well, and it is so easy to use. I love there is a setting that it will send me text messages if it detects movement in my house. I can see the live feed from anywhere with my phone or if I have my laptop with me as well. I can also adjust the view by turning the camera where ever I want it. I can even turn the sound on and hear what is going on in my house. I can even talk via the microphone which comes through the camera as well. There is also a alarm that when it detects movement the alarm will sound off. It even has night vision.
My husband and I will be going on vacation and I will be leaving my dogs home. The kids will be taking care of them by feeding, watering and checking on them through out the day, the kids live next door. More often then not the dogs will probably be at their house. I can check on my dogs and my house and this makes me feel safer. I will be having the texts turned on and checking in throughout the day via my phone and laptop. I really like that I will be able to check in. I was kind of worried about leaving the house but with this camera it has taken away those fears. The feed is a few seconds off but that is fine, the picture is very clear.

“MMmm.” His words were lost as his mouth nuzzled against her throat. One warm hand slipped around to cradle her neck in his palm. Andie felt her pulse speed up, felt it shuddering against the pressure of his lips on her skin. Her empty hands fidgeted, then ran up through his hair and curled into tight fists.
Guy groaned against her neck and cupped his free hand under her ass. In one deft movement, he propelled them both forward and dropped her flat on her back against the bed. Andie’s breath pushed out between her lips as Guy ran his hand up her leg from foot to thigh, making her skin sizzle and pop in little goose bumps in his wake. He hung above her, a man bathed in shadow with predator eyes shining in the darkness.
“I guess we both have a little bit of a rebellious streak in us then, huh?”
The woman Andie had been just a few days ago—that wizened academic who knew better than to fall under the spell of some disastrously good-looking hot mess paid to be the most mesmerizing thing he could be—was banging on the inside of Andie’s subconscious, reminding her that this was all moving too fast to be normal. Passionate encounters that led to happily ever after’s were the stuff of carefully curated movie scripts, not intended to ever play out in real life the same way they did on the big screen. They were fantasies, not recipes. She should know better than anyone else that these stories never ended well. But even so, even if she was living out some sort of toxic fantasy, she’d take the risk—and deal with the consequences later.

Blurb Blitz: The Madness of Mercury by Connie di Marco
The Madness of Mercury
by Connie di Marco
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
GENRE: Mystery
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BLURB:
Astrologer Julia Bonatti never thought her chosen profession would bring danger into her life, but her outspoken advice in her newspaper column, AskZodia, makes her the target of San Francisco’s recently-arrived cult leader, Reverend Roy of the Prophet’s Tabernacle. The followers of the power hungry preacher will stop at nothing to quell the voices of those who would stand in his way and Julia’s at the top of his list. She’s willing to bet the charismatic Reverend is a Mercury-ruled individual, and she knows all too well that Mercury wasn’t just the messenger of the gods, he was a trickster and a liar as well.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Excerpt Three:
I glanced down at the map with one eye on the road. I had covered a lot of ground. The turnoff to Ardillas was ten miles away. My cell phone rang and I glanced at the number. It was Don. I hit the button to answer.
“Julia. Where are you?”
“On the 101 about ten miles from Ardillas.”
“Listen. I’ve dug up some newspaper articles from the New Orleans area about a couple who got involved with the Prophet. Then I discovered they had written a book, an exposé really, about six years ago.”
“That’s great. I’d love to get my hands on that.”
“Julia . . .”
“Maybe I could locate them and talk to them.”
“That might be difficult.”
“Why?”
I was greeted by silence. “Don? You there?”
“I’m here, Julia.” Don was silent but I could tell the line was still open. “They were murdered about a year after the book came out.”
A cold knot formed in my stomach. “Murdered? How?”
“Home invasion, at least that was the official verdict. No one was ever charged. A lot of people still harbor the suspicion it was an execution for betraying the Reverend Roy.” Don was quiet for so long I wondered if I had lost reception. “I think you should turn back.”
I wasn’t used to being worried about, much less someone asking me not to do something. Don had a point, but I know what a stubborn cuss I can be. Just his asking nicely felt like an order and it put my back up. It’s not a trait I’m proud of, but I have an irresistible tendency to do the exact opposite of what I’ve been told to do. Sheer contrariness, I guess. Don’s pleas were falling on deaf ears.
“I can’t. I can’t see the point of turning around now that I’m almost there. Don’t worry. I plan to talk to the Sheriff and scope things out. Maybe I can get help from that quarter. Mostly, I just want to locate Eunice. And if I can get in and talk to her, then I can at least tell Dorothy where things are at.
I heard his exasperated sigh. “Stay in touch, okay?”
“I will.” I clicked off just as the sign indicating the town’s one exit sped closer. I flicked on my turn signal even though no other cars were near – force of habit -- and moved over to the far right lane. The exit appeared and I turned off, heading east onto a lonely two lane road.
Excerpt
Seven:
At three minutes past nine, Bobby pulled up outside the
Jacksons’ house where Zack was sitting waiting on the doorstep. Zack jumped up,
walked briskly over to the car, and slid inside.
“Come on, let’s go.”
Bobby was pleased that Zack did not want his mother to know
about their arrangement. He was not going to make it easy for Zack. He liked
the lad, but drug dealers were the scum of the earth.
“Hang on, where’s the envelope?”
Zack rolled his eyes and passed over a wad of notes held
together by a rubber band. While Bobby counted the money, Zack kept glancing up
to his mother’s bedroom window. Bobby carefully wound the band around the notes
again and turned slowly to face the boy.
“Zack, you obviously take me for an idiot. Have the money
back and the best of luck!”
With that, he turned the ignition key of the Fiesta. The
ex-copper had caught Zack off guard.
“Wha…wha…what d’you mean?”
“Zack, we both know this is not all of it. Forget it. You’ve
made your bed.”
He pushed the gear stick into first. It had the desired
effect.
“All right, all right. Wait there. No. Go around the block
once, and I’ll bring you the rest. All of it.”
Bobby nodded and put the car into gear. It was a double
bluff that had paid off. Firstly, he had no idea if there was any more money,
and secondly, he wasn’t even sure if the Fiesta was going to start again when
he turned the key. The car really was a piece of shit. By the time he had
driven round the block, Zack was already walking down the street towards him
out of sight of his mother’s window.
“Here we are. That’s everything.”
Bobby pulled over, started counting and gave a low whistle.
“That’s more like it! Fourteen hundred pounds! Let’s go. We
should get something decent for me for that.”
AUTHOR Bio and Links:
It was a
strange and twisting road that led to the publication of my first novel. From
my humble beginnings, as an office clerk, to ownership of a multi-million
dollar business I always maintained my love for literature.
Born and raised
in Bristol, England. I spent most of my life in business, my companies turning
over in the region of $500 million. The majority of that time marketing cars,
eventually owning the largest Saab specialist in the world, before a bitter
divorce forced me rethink my priorities. Particularly between 2003 and 2005
when I had to accept that I was no longer a millionaire but literally
penniless. I avoided bankruptcy by the skin of my teeth and slowly rebuilt my
life.
This led me to
the life changing decision to leave the bustling city and move to live halfway
up a mountain in the Welsh valleys. At the same time I started a part time six
year English Literature course at Bristol University, and attended creative
writing classes at Cardiff University. I left school at sixteen and this was my
first taste of further education and an immense challenge.
I eventually
adjusted my thinking to the academic life, and on 30 June 2015 had confirmation
of my 2.1(Hons) degree from Bristol University. At the same time I also won the
prestigious Hopkins Prize for my essay on Virginia Woolf and the unsaid within
her text. Now the university courses are finished it will, with any luck, gives
me plenty of extra time that I can devote to my fiction writing.
Thanks to the
university experiences, my interest in English literature has flourished over
recent years. Hopefully I have evolved as a writer from my earlier work in
short stories (over ninety of them.) Although interestingly my first three
novels have all been developed from a long forgotten short story.
Life is, once
again, very good, and I live very happily halfway up a mountain, in the Welsh
Valleys, with my wonderful partner Mari, and our rescue dog Wolfie.
Goodreads Mike Ross
Interview with Michael Ross
As a kid did you write or make up stories?
No, not really, that started when my children were small, and all four loved me making up stories for them
.
Where does most of your Character inspiration come from?
Where does most of your Character inspiration come from?
Much, maybe too much, from personal experience, but I think the time I spent working with a charity helping individuals recover from troubles caused by drug and alcohol abuse opened my mind and blew the bigotry away.
Do some qualities of your characters come from real people?
I would say 90% of the qualities and the flaws of my characters come very much from personal experience.
What was the inspiration for your book?
Part of my personal history, I went from being a millionaire to being insolvent within eighteen months. Sixteen years later I still have demons to be slain via my writing.
What is your favorite spot to write?
I have a lovely self contained room at the top of the house. (I am very lucky.)
What advice would you give budding writers?
Read as much as you possibly can, never force yourself and never write just to make money.
