Cover Reveal for This Night Sucks by Elizabeth J.M. Walker

I am excited to present the cover for Elizabeth J.M. Walker's upcoming novella,

This Night Sucks!

First, here is what This Night Sucks is all about:

Lana is a high school senior enrolled in Vampire Education – a class to teach students about the very real presence of vampires in the world. Lana and her classmates don’t really expect to meet up with any undead bloodsuckers. Vampires are a lot like other scary things that supposedly exist but you hope you’ll never come across: nudist colonies, mad cow disease, and your parents’ sex life.

What is part of Lana’s everyday reality is navigating through one last year of high school while desperately trying to be less nerdy. She still loves spaceships, fantasy novels, and cat stickers, but she also recently got her braces removed, grew boobs, and is working on the makeup thing. She never expected her crush-of-a-lifetime Pete to even notice her – let alone ask her out on a date.

The date is going great until Pete’s ex-girlfriend Katy shows up, all bloody and pissed off. Lana quickly realizes that Katy is not just her ordinary bitchy self – she has been turned into a vampire. After a near death experience, Lana learns that she is changing into a vampire too.

Lana needs answers, and the only way to get them is to find the vampire who started the chain of events – and to find him before sunrise...

Are you ready for the cover?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
GENRE: Sweet Paranormal Romance
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

BLURB:

Just one kiss to break the spell...

That's all she needs.

Cursed by a jealous witch, Penelope DeLacroix's spells are all going wrong and backfiring, creating havoc in town. The vengeful witch won't quit until she has all of Penelope's powers. And all it will take is one perfect, heartfelt kiss from Penelope's one true love to put an end to all this turmoil.

The only problem? Penelope has no idea that Dr. Lucas Collier, the compassionate local veterinarian, is in love with her. Nor does he know that she's in love with him. They're both too stupid to figure it out.

But I know.

And I have to do something about it.

But what can I do?

I'm only her cat.

What?

Every witch has a cat.

I'm hers.

I'm Talisman.

And I'm going to fix this.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Excerpt One:
“Jessie!  It’s so great to see you,” Penelope exclaimed as she strode forward and enveloped the much older woman in a warm embrace.  “I don’t think I’ve seen you since this summer when you were accepting your first place award for your apple pie at the Shadow festival.  Did you bring one with you?  I just love your pie.”
Jessie grimaced, her face a contorted mask of wrinkles and sadness.  Maybe loneliness.  I’m really smart and talented but I’m not a mind reader.  Who knows what had prompted this surprise visit from the old bat.
Jessie padded her plump figure over to Penelope’s armchair in the receiving area of the shelter where Pen’s desk sat, all worn mahogany and ornate scrolls.  She liked to spend quiet evenings there doing paperwork while she allowed the animals to roam free around her.  She’d speak to all of us in her lilting tone not knowing that we understood her perfectly.
And we wanted to respond, we really did.  Unfortunately, we could only communicate with each other and had to use gestures and actions to try to get through to our mistress.  Even though Penelope was a witch from a long line of ancient witches, her powers didn’t involve any kind of telepathy as some other’s did.
As Jessie sank in to the overstuffed chair, a whooshing noise exploded throughout the room when the air escaped from the cushions under her ample girth.  Too.  Much.  Pie.
AUTHOR Bio and Links:
Colleen Charles is the pen name of Tami Stark, #1 Bestselling Author on Amazon.
After 26 years in Corporate leadership at a Fortune 500, I discovered people within the organization lacked integrity. I'd always known deep in my soul that I was trying to fit a square peg in to a round hole since I'm the typical creative type. I miss my staff but I don't miss the corporate world. It's been said that the Universe will let you know if something isn't right for you. The first time, it will hit you with a pebble. Then a brick. Then a boulder. Let's just say that I got flattened. When my fifteen pound toy dog, Nigel, was threatened, I knew it was time to say goodbye.
It's sad but true.
Here's what I found within the first thirty days of being free. Writing stories from my heart that readers love means more to me than working myself in to an early grave for people who only care about their bottom line.
My heart has never been more full and my soul has never been more satisfied.
I've never worked so hard in my life but it doesn't even feel like work. It's worth it. All of it. Because it's about the joy that's found within the journey. The highs and the lows because I get to write stories for all of you.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading, enjoying and recommending the stories that I write. When you share my work with others, nothing is more rewarding. Your word of mouth is my very best friend ... that, and your reviews. There is nothing more important to me than all of you.
I love to hear from my readers and answer all communications personally. You can find me at:
Interview with Colleen Charles
As a kid did you write or make up stories?
As a child, I loved creating elaborate worlds in my own head. I never wrote them down but they’d probably make a great book.
Where does most of your Character inspiration come from?
I model my characters after people I know. I think all of my female leads contain parts of myself.
Do some qualities of your characters come from real people?
Yes, they all do.
What was the inspiration for your book?
The narrator, Talisman, is modeled after my Ragdoll cat, Binham. He’s a wisecracking smart-ass. It’s also the book closest to my heart because it contains the most of my sense of humor and personality. It’s really Colleen Charles on the page and I was really excited when it hit #1 and stayed there for almost thirty days.
What is your favorite spot to write?
In bed. And I’m not kidding ;).
What advice would you give budding writers?
You have to really love this business because it’s a grind. There are highs and lows and if you lose your passion for the words, you won’t make it. They have to come from your heart. I love helping new authors and I’m a Certified Life Coach so I give advice all the time. If readers want to ask me any questions, they can sign up for my newsletter at www.colleencharles.com/free and get in touch with me via e-mail. I still answer all communications personally. Some days, a note from a reader is the only non-animal communication that I receive.
Talisman will be free during the tour.
Book Description:
The Men of Machismo series revolves around nine friends who worked together in a male revue. Each book follows the life of a different former dancer seven years later. The Bad Decision Legacy is Will and Tonya’s story.
Tonya’s psychotic ex is stalking her. Not the best time to meet men, still her best friend begs her to show up for blind date dinner. Her plan includes the meet and greet, then heading home. Of course, she never expected a man who sent every hormone in her body into high alert. Will looked like her next bad decision.
Will’s work as a divorce lawyer included discouraging embittered women from ramming their soon to be exes with the car or setting fire to their husband’s latest girlfriend. No wonder he fell hard for Tonya. The first woman he met with no agenda, well almost none. It’s obvious Tonya is knee deep in trouble, but refuses to ask for help. Instead of running the other way, he contemplates dashing into the tornado she refers to as her life. With any luck, he might survive.
Excerpt:
A quick scan revealed he was in his business attire, minus the suit jacket. His loosened tie and undone top button announced he was ready to leave work behind for the day. He held out his empty hand. “Hi, I’m Will, Will Robinson.”
Tonya gave his hand a vigorous shake remembering from her business training that a weak handshake always decreased the client’s confidence in your ability. “Hi, Will Robinson. Wasn’t your family trying to get to Alpha Centauri?” The quip may have been ill-advised, but his name brought up memories of an old science fiction show sometimes featured in black and white reruns. It also helped cover her surprise that a simple touch jumpstarted a chemical reaction, one she’d considered out of commission.
Will kept her hand a tad longer than needed, while he smiled with his eyes. “Ah, we weren’t that Robinson family. Mine was the one that hadn’t seen the show and didn’t understand why naming me Will was not a kindness.”
Tonya found herself grinning back at the witty male. “Did the other kids pick on you?”
“Not too much, but there was this one female who gave me a hard time, and I didn’t even know her name.” He nodded toward the front door where Lynne stood waiting.
She almost asked him what grade that was until she realized he was referring to her. “Oh, her. The name’s Tonya Smiley.”
Her last name embarrassed her. It was such a cute name. Why couldn’t she have an ordinary name like Tyler or Brooks? To push past the inevitable remarks about her being smiley or having a beautiful smile or even her name suiting her, she went defensive. “Why were you sneaking around eavesdropping on our girl talk?”
Her abrupt question triggered Lynne’s coughing. In between coughs, she managed to mutter, “Watch it.”
Will threw his hands up over his head, one still wrapped around the neck of the wine bottle. “You got me. I’m guilty. I snuck out the side door that Marc showed me to retrieve the wine I forgot. The two of you were deep into conversation. I didn’t think it was my place to interrupt, but when I felt your outfit was being criticized, I had to say something.”
Seven And Eight Women's Classic Gold-Tone Rhinestone Quartz Watch
Very pretty watch. I love how the Gold watch color bounces off the red of the band. There are clear rhinestones around the top edge of the watch face and just really highlights the face of the watch. As well as rhinestones at each hour on the face of the watch. I have been wearing this watch over a week now and it has kept timer very well. It has not lost or gained any minutes so far. The band is made of genuine leather, and is very soft against my wrist. The bands total length is 9 1/4 inches, the watch itself is 1.18 inches across. The hour and minute hand have a glow in the dark type line on them and are easy to read even in low light. The hourly rhinestones catch even dim light to make it easier to read the time. The watch face also features the date.
I can wear this watch with pretty much any outfit since red matches so many colors. The watch is a little bigger then the ones I usually wear but I have learned to like the bigger watches by wearing this one. This watch would also make a great gift. It does not come in a box, mine came in a  zip top plastic baggie in a padded envelope.
Meaiguo Non Slip Skid Toe Yoga Pilates Socks
Very comfortable socks. These socks are great. The rubber design on the bottom does not let me slip and slide. I am not crazy about toe socks but while doing yoga they are great. Really helps when doing certain moves. The socks are thin and I like that. Bulky socks doing yoga can be a hindrance to you. I am by no means a yoga guru I am actually just really getting started. I have only been doing yoga a few months, and to some extent I am still in the trial and error phase. These socks are a good thing, so will continue using them. I have put these socks in the washer and dryer with no problems at all. I use a cool dryer on them, but I did gt a pair mixed with a regular heated load and they came out fine as well. There are 4 pairs in the pack, purple, pink, black and grey. The socks have not shrank in the dryer, the colors have not bled or faded either. The full bottom of the sock as well up the heal are coated in the gripper design. The heal being coated as well is very helpful at times. Other yoga socks I have do not have the grippers on the heal are.
Sandalup Women's Classic Flip Flops Sandals by Inspiring Boutique Co.
These sandals are adorable I love how nice they look on my feet. They are not as comfortable as I was hoping though. I can feel where the end pieces of the toe are are under the shoe. When I step I can feel the bumpy area of those ends, The end are in there really good though they feel like they are in about a 1/2 inch on each side under the big toe area and the first toe. The part that goes over the center of the foot also digs a little. I have worn these shopping but would not wear them to a day out with a lot of walking. I have been wearing these shoes off and on for a couple of weeks now and they are not stretching or coming apart in any way. Usually after a couple of weeks shoes do stretch some and get more comfortable, these feel pretty much the same as when I received them. I hate shoes and luckily I live in Florida and can wear sandals pretty much year round. Even though these are not the most comfortable to me I do love how great they look and will continue wearing them on short trips or around the house.
Oubaybay Women's Plus Size Braces Summer V-Neck Maxi Long Dress
I love my new dress. It is very comfortable and cool. The dress is a flowing style and i very comfortable to wear. I wore this the other night on a date with my Husband, He actually commented on the dress and old me it looked very nice on me. The dress comes just above my ankles and I am 5'6. The shoulder straps are adjustable. They have small plastic rings to adjust the straps. I love the bright blue of the dress. The color is the same throughout the dress. I did not notice any light or dark spots. I have washed and dried the dress in washer and dryer. The dress did not fade or spot, and the best I can tell the color did not bleed either. The seams of the dress seem to be sewn very well with thick folded seems. I do not see this dress falling apart quickly like some of the dress with very thin seem edges. There is about a 1 1/2 inch elastic area around the top of the waist. Over the bust area the top crosses over. I put a small safety pin there to keep the top closed enough so when I bend over no one will gt a great view. Since a regular strapped bra cannot really be worn with this with its skinny straps that pin also hides the strapless bra I wore. I really love this dress, the look and feel of it both.
