Just friends.We’re just friends.

No, really. She’s just my best friend…

Arizona Turner has been my best friend since fourth grade, even when we “hated” each other. We’ve been there for one another through first kisses, first “times,” and we’ve been each other’s constant when good relationships turned bad. (We even went to colleges that were minutes away from each other…)

Throughout the years, and despite what anyone says, we’ve never crossed the line.

Never thought about it.

Never wanted to.

Until one night changed everything.

At least, it should’ve …

Just friends.

We’re just friends.

I’m only saying this until I figure out if she’s still “just” my best friend…

My Review:
This is a story about 2 people who were mortal enemies until 1 day in the 4th grade when they became best friends. Now as they are about to graduate from college they are still best friends. They have seen each other through the boy friends and the girl friends, and are more like brother and sister then just friends. On Day Carter is in a car with some friends waiting on Arizona to come and get in. As he watches her walk towards the car he sees her in a whole different. He doesn't say anything but thoughts begin to run through his mind. Later on that day as Arizona is standing in the store waiting to be waited on she glances out the window and finds herself seeing Carter in a whole new light as well. Neither know the others thought at the minute. Can best friends for most of their lives, someone who knows every secret you have, become that one true love you have been looking for?

This is a pretty good story. I like the way the story kept moving, instead of getting stagnant and dragging. Something seemed to be new with each chapter. Whitney Garcia Williams has done a very good job with this story. Joseph Discher and Jennifer O'Donnell done an amazing job bringing the story and character alive with their narration of the book. You could definitely feel the mood through the timbre of their voices.

EXCERPTS (Exclusive Excerpt):

When we turned down West Winter Street from Laredo Avenue, I was anxious since I knew we were going to have to drive past my old house. I didn’t want to show the same emotions I had earlier. The sun was setting by that point, and the sky was a pretty shade of pink and orange.

“Look at that sunset,” J0 said. “You don’t see that too often in the winter.”

Winter. Right. I had to remind myself it is the end of February here in 2095, not the end of June like in 1981. “Yeah. It rained so hard today. How often does it rain instead of snow this time of year?”

“It has been unseasonably warm the last few weeks,” she replied.

We drove past 242 West Winter Street. I tried to catch a fleeting glimpse of the house again out of the corner of my eye, even though I was conscious that J0 was somehow detecting any attention I paid to the property. Convinced that she was able to read my mind, I forced my eyes to turn back to the road in front of us.

We continued down West Winter Street for a few more moments, and J0 slowed the hover car. We descended to park it in front of house 929. I got out first and noticed the white mailbox on the small strip of plastic grass in between the curb and the sidewalk. Just as J0 had reported, Kaminski was stenciled in black calligraphy on the side.

“Do you want to look around outside?” J0 asked. “Should we knock? It looks like they’re home.”

She motioned to the driveway. It was crowded with parked hover cars.

“It looks like they’re having a party. I wouldn’t want to disturb them. Maybe we should go.”

This felt like a bad idea already. I stepped over a row of plastic flowers that lined the walkway as J0 walked around the front of the hover car and stood on the sidewalk. I had the sudden urge to look into one of the house’s windows. I wanted to catch a glimpse of the family who had bought this house from my great-great-grandson before he built J0 and bounced me into 2095. I placed my hands on a windowsill that led into a brightly lit room inside and peered in.

“What are you doing?” J0 yelled, startling me. “You look like a prowler! Either take a look from a safe distance or ring the bell. They’ll remember you. It’s only been a few years.”

Candle Wand - Candle Shaver - Restores Unsightly Candles To New by Candle Wand

Not only do I have candles burning in my house pretty much all of the time, I also make candles. This candle wand has become a huge help to me in just the few days I have had it. The large pillar candles I have in the house can be renewed but cutting the top areas off. The part that does not melt when being burnt. I can also take large round candles the ones with 3 or 4 wicks, and make 3 or 4 separate candles out of it. I can also use this wand when making candles to be able to able to decorate the outside by drawing in designs with the hot corner of the wand.

The wand is electric, and does get very hot. This should not be used or left with children. It get about as hot as a flat iron or curling iron. The blade is blunt and not sharp. It will not cut you. The heat basically melts through the candle instead of cutting it. I am wishing I had one of these years ago. No telling at the candle artwork I could of created, as well as saving some of those candles that just wouldn't burn anymore.

Home-it toilet brush set Chrome toilet brush

Great toilet brush set. I have a very nice stainless steel trash can in my bathroom and have been looking for a nice toilet brush set that would go well with the trash can. I am so happy I ran across this one. I had an old ugly plastic toilet brush set in my bathroom and you could see the ugly brush. To me it just wasn't what I wanted to look at every time I walked in the bathroom. This toilet brush set looks very nice in my bathroom. No more looking at the brush The brush goes down into the stainless steel container. I love that it has a removable plastic cup that sits down inside so the water stay s in the cup not in the bottom of the holder, or worse yet on the floor. The brush is attached to the lid and the lid actually helps to keep from getting splashed as well.

Homar Left/Right Fishing Spinning Reels

Small and light weight aluminum reel. Exchangeable Collapsible Rocker Arm for left or right handed. Front and rear drag System.

My Grand son is now 11 and just getting into really fishing so I wanted him to have a rod and reel of his own. I have given him this reel and his daddy really likes it. Says it is a great reel for the type of fishing they do. It is by no means a professional quality reel but then again neither is the price. It should last him a very long time though, if he takes care of it properly. It has already caught a few fish in our little forest ponds. This reel won't stand up to Deep Sea Fishing but it wasn't made for that. We live in the middle of the Ocala National Forest and there are lakes and ponds all around us. Mostly bass, blue gill, and cat fishing.

Bicycle Bike Mount Phone Bags, Universal by Sahara Sailor

My husband and I ride bikes, not bicycles, but motorcycles. We wanted something we could hook onto the handlebars for those occasions we are taking a ride and need to use our phone for the GPS. This phone mount has proves itself to be perfect. It fits well and has adjustable Velcro straps for the handlebars, there are actually 3 straps and buckles on the back of the mount. So it holds very securely. Inside there is a large wrap with Velcro that the phone fits into so it does not bounce around loosely. The front where you see your phone screen is a clear plastic. The plastic fronting lets you use your phone as well with a light touch instead of having to push hard to make your buttons work. There is also a shadow window at the top on the outside, which helps a little for keeping the direct sunlight off of the phone screen when you are trying to see the scree.
There is also a small netted pouch behind the phone area where you could put your charger or personal items like keys, ID, money or whatever. The pouch has a zippered closure. The whole case is waterproof. There is even a slot out the side of the case you could run a headphone line or if using the GPS on the motorcycle we can leave the phone hooked up to the charger on long rides. Now that Summer is about here this will get a lot of use on our bike.
