Synopsis: RIGGS

Heart.
It’s what keeps you from being reckless. It’s what keeps you breathing.
Money, power and respect… they were my god given right, not the reason I joined the Satan’s Knights. I tied myself to my club and nothing else. Give me my bike, the open road and a different woman every night and I was happy.
My life was great.
Until the chaos exploded.
One night.
One reckless temptation and I finally found my reason for breathing.
I never saw her coming. The girl that would turn my world upside down and give me my heart.
Only it was too late.
One mistake can take it all away.
I’m about to lose my heart.
The thing that keeps me breathing.
The thing that keeps me from being reckless.

LAUREN BIANCI

Drop out of nursing school? Check.
Have no idea what you’re going to do with your life? Check.
Disappoint your family? Double check.
Meet a biker and have crazy sex against a wall? Check. Check. Check.
Get knocked up by said biker? Check.
I was always the good girl, the prodigal child, the girl who said and did all the right things.
Things like this didn’t happen to me.
Until him.
Until he smiled.
Until he tempted me to find out what made me happy.
Too bad it’s him.
We’ll never work, but, I can pretend can’t I?
Just for a little while.
Just until it’s over.

PATCH PARTY

Lauren rolled her eyes and turned to leave. I wasn’t going to let her go anywhere. I reached for her and caught her wrist, stopping her from leaving.

“Going somewhere?”

“Yeah, home,” she sneered, tugging her arm free. I’d never seen her like this, so angry, so fucking hot. She turned toward Blackie, took his drink from his hand and threw the whiskey in my face before handing the empty glass back to him.

“Congratulations, you’re a dick with a patch,” she said, before turning and walking toward the door.

I sputtered whiskey from my mouth, lifting the hem of my t-shirt to dry my face, trying to ignore the surrounding chuckles.

“You better marry her because if you don’t I will,” Bones said, as he came up beside me and handed me a stack of napkins.

“Fuck off,” I shouted, throwing the napkins up in the air like confetti before I took off after her. “Lauren,” I shouted as I stepped outside. Scanning the grounds, I found her stalking through the parking lot.

I ran after her but Kitten had speed even in those heels she had on that threatened to take her down.

“Lauren, baby…Kitten,” I called.

She froze in her tracks and turned around.

Hallelujah!

Oh, shit!

She bent down, removing one of her high heels and swung it like a Cy-Young pitcher, aiming straight for my head.

“Are you fucking crazy?” I shouted, dodging death by a high heel.

“Oh, you think I’m crazy?” She asked incredulously, looking every bit crazy. No question about it. “Maybe I am crazy! I mean, I must be because I’m here, right? Standing here in my little black dress, against my better judgement, because well, tonight was a big night for you and I…” she let her words trail off. “…I am crazy,” she confirmed, shaking her head in disbelief.

“Kitten,” I started, reaching for her.

She flicked my forehead with her fingers.

“Ouch! What the hell did you do that for?” I shouted, rubbing my forehead.

“There is plenty more where that came from, buddy!” She threatened, as she poked my chest with her finger. I had had enough of this shit. I grabbed her hips, hauling her up against me and maneuvered her legs to wrap around my waist. She didn’t like that at all and yelped as I held her in place.

“Riggs, put me down,” she yelled.

“You don’t really want me to put you down,” I ground out. My patience was gone, my nerves frayed. She kicked my back and I pinched her leg as I turned and slammed her up against the wall of the Dog Pound.

“Came here for a reason, Kitten, now it’s time to tell me what that reason is,” I whispered against her ear.

“It doesn’t matter,” she squealed, as I ran my hands up her thighs.

“I disagree,” I argued, glancing down at her legs locked around my waist. “I like your dress,” I said, sliding my hands underneath it.

“You should,” she sneered, wrapping her arms around my neck. “I wore it for you,” she rasped.

Sweetest fucking words I ever heard.

Summary from Goodreads:

This will be the summer of love . . . and death.

When seventeen-year-old Rosalynn Young pictured her summer vacation, she didn't think she would be spending it working as a maid at the Millennium Hotel. She imagined painting and gardening. Dangerously drawn to Victor, Rosalynn willfully ignores his volatile mood swings. When she impulsively enters Victor's room, she finds a journal dating back to the 19th Century and a photograph of him from August 14, 1874.

He's hiding something sinister and she's desperate to find out what, even if it means risking everything. But Rosalynn fails to realize that her attraction to Victor comes at a price and she soon learns some secrets are better kept hidden.

She's in for the summer job of a lifetime.

PROLOGUE
I’ve had nightmares for years now—since the day of the fire. I dreaded falling asleep and tried my best to avoid it as long as I could. I hated the feeling of cold, sticky tendrils pulling me down into a deep, dark oblivion.
Tonight was no different. I went to bed around eleven o’clock, and soon I was drowning, plunged into the bottomless pool of fiery depths. I gasped for air, struggling to come afloat, and I woke to the sound of someone screaming. Sitting upright, I yanked the covers from around me. The clock on my dresser read 1:45 in the morning. I crawled out of bed, my eyes half shut as I walked out of my room. I dragged my feet down the hall to Miriam’s bedroom because it sounded like the shriek had come from there, but I found her snoring.
I wiped my eyes, confused. If it wasn’t her screaming that woke me up, then had I imagined it?
I tiptoed downstairs into the kitchen for a glass of water. I swallowed a mouthful, wincing with pain. My throat throbbed painfully.
I gasped suddenly, realizing that tonight my nightmare overtook me—it was me screaming.

U.S. Art Supply 9" x 12" Premium Extra Heavy-Weight Acrylic Painting Paper Pad

I love this pad of acrylic paper. I love that it has a wire binding and it is a top binding. This paper is a whopping 246 pound paper. It is great for all mediums from pencil to paint. It is very heavy paper. The paper is also acid free so can be used safely even in scrapbooking projects, which is what I will be using it for. The paper is a natural white color, so does not take away from what ever I put on the paper. Sometimes colored paper does make or break your artwork. I like using natural white personally. There are 12 - 9 X 12 sheets in this pad. The paper quality is top notch as far as I am concerned. This paper is great for any level of artist from beginner to professional,

Ohuhu Real Hand-free-washing Microfiber Floor Mop, 2-pack for Wet and Dry Cleaning

I am pretty happy with this mop. It is easy to use. It is light weight. I love not having to peel the pad off each time I need to rinse and squeeze it out. My hands stay clean and dry. My house has no carpet in it.

I live in Florida, we do not have dirt we have sand, and sand is a nightmare to clean up. This mop does not get all of the sand up in a quick run over on the floors, I have to sweep them first, and it will find any sand I missed.  It does get some sand just not all of it. I also have 2 indoor/outdoor  dogs. They let themselves in and out through the doggie door. One is short haired and one is long haired. So I have tons of dog hair to deal with, this mop does a great job on pet hair. I also have 4 Grand kids that live next door and 5 others who come visit a lot. So my floors are always dirty. I sweep daily and had a swifter mop I was pushing around daily. Needless to say with the swifter I was spending a lot of money on throw away pads. With this mop I can do my floors then wash out the pad and it is ready to go for the next mess.

I love how wide the head on this mop is, it takes less effort to mop the same amount of flooring. I love how this one has a wringer head I guess you call it, just the head upwards slide the plastic wring down and it rings out the extr water as well as knocking off loose dirt and hair. It is very easy to use and does a really good job.

AUTHOR Bio and Links:

I am a CPA, CGA and live in Southern Ontario. After working for many years in the high pressure worlds of banking and IT, I decided that it was time to have a change in pace. Leaving Toronto behind I embarked on a new career in retail sales. The change was wonderful, but I felt something was missing.

Then, the unthinkable happened, and I was widowed at 46. That was a truly life altering experience. In time, I was introduced to the books and work of Dr. Brian Weiss. I discovered in his research a new purpose in life, and was driven to start writing, something I had always enjoyed, but never thought of as a career choice.

And now here we are in 2015, and my first novel is ready to be published. My second, also in the Past Lives series, will follow shortly.  I continue to write and dream of a future that I had never even considered in my wildest dreams.

Interview with A.C. Chenier
Teresa, I’d like to thank you for hosting my blog tour today. I’m happy to answer some questions for you about myself and my writing. I enjoy sharing my experiences in writing my debut novel, Loves of our Lives.

As a kid did you write or make up stories?

Not really. I do remember in about grade 4 or 5 that we had an assignment to write a short story. I really liked sci-fi/fantasy at the time, so do recall that I wrote a story set in space with monsters and all. The only thing I can clearly recall is being panned on the work. I know that I was really disappointed in the grade. I soon put aside any thoughts of being creative and concentrated on math and science from that point on. I was convinced that English would always be my worst subject; and sure enough, it always was.

Where does most of your Character inspiration come from?

I really don’t know where my characters come from. They seem to spring to life as I set my fingers to type about them. Some come from dreams, or at least some of the scenes I create come from dreams. I meditate almost every day as well. Sometimes when I come back and reground, a new character has come to life in front of me.

Do some qualities of your characters come from real people?

Absolutely they do. I can’t believe that any writer is completely immune from including traits of people they know in their stories. So much of what we write is our own experiences. So while I can’t say “Ward is so and so”, I can certainly say that all my characters have a piece of people I know in them.

What was the inspiration for your book?

The real inspiration for me was reading the book “Only Love is Real” by Dr, Brian Weiss.  Dr. Weiss is one of the leading therapists living the US working with patients using past life regression as a way to heal them. He has written many books about the process and his patients stories, starting with “Many Lives, Many Masters”. However, it was reading “Only Love is Real” that truly inspired me to write books about past lives, and soul mates reuniting through time. The entire concept just spoke to my love of romance novels, especially historical ones, and yet incorporates a contemporary plot as well.

What is your favorite spot to write?

Well, last year, when I was first writing this book, I happened to be in Florida on the Atlantic coast. I was able to sit in my room, with the balcony door open, and hear the waves crashing on the shore....together with all that warm salt air.  That has been my favourite spot so far. I’m hoping at some point to build a nice studio to work in, preferably on a lake or river. I want to be able to separate my writing from my normal living accommodations.

What advice would you give budding writers?

Keep at it.  Don’t believe the naysayers, most especially the ones in your own brain. I’m an accountant by training.... how more logical and “boring” can it get? And yet, here I am with a book published, and another ready to go.

I’ll also say; expect that the writing itself is the easiest and quickest part of the entire process. It took me 4 weeks at most to write “Loves of our Lives” in its first draft. It took 12 months to get the book revised, edited and published, and that was using self-publishing.... and now it’s the marketing work to get the book noticed. So expect the business aspects of publishing to consume a lot more of your time than the writing itself.

About the Author

I live outside Washington, D.C. with my wonderfully supportive husband and two daughters, one of which is approaching her teenage years. Help us all! If that isn’t enough, we have a Great Dane and an English Bulldog to keep us on our toes. It’s crazy around here, and I love every minute of it!

Writing is my third career. I didn’t set out to be a writer, it was just meant to be. My Mechanical Engineering degree from Virginia Tech prepared me well for my first career as an Engineer/Program Manager. My second career was in Human Resources. Long story, but I figured it out. I believe the best start for a writing career is to be a reader first, and I’ve been an avid reader my whole life. I’ve loved to read ever since I picked up my first Nancy Drew mystery in the fourth grade. Now, I love reading just about everything, but I don’t read sad books. I don’t watch sad movies either for that matter, no matter how many awards they’ve won. Life’s too short, and who needs all that strife to bring us down?

Many of my words have been penned late into the evening, which explains why I’ve never viewed whatever television show you recommend to me. I would, however, love to hear your recommendations for a great read!

Bluetooth Transmitter Receiver W Headphone, Nulaxy KM08

This is not my first bluetooth transmitter but it is my first one with a headphone. I really love the headphone. It never fails that my daughter doesn't call while I am driving. I am not one who likes to hold the phone while driving. This makes it easier for me to drive and listen to her talk. I can have this go through my car speakers as well as the earphone.
It is so simple to use. Simply plug the end into the auxiliary port on the car stereo and plug in to a USB phone charger. and away you go. The earphone docks on the small round piece attached to the cables. The transmitter plays through the car stereo until you pick up the earphone then it goes through that. The sound is crisp and very clear through the headphone. I am very pleased with this set.
