Author's Bio:

Lauren Carr is the international best-selling author of the Mac Faraday Mysteries, which takes place in Deep Creek Lake, Maryland. Open Season for Murder is the tenth installment in the Mac Faraday Mystery series.

My Review:

I usually like mystery books and don't usually read military books, and I am on the fence when it comes to romance. This book has all 3 and well I am actually glad I read it. It was a very good book. It drug me in and kept me involved. It was paced very well, it was quick but not to quick to loose you and it was not slow and boring at all. 

 There were twists and turns that had me feeling like a detective in spots. When I thought I had things figured out a new twist would jump up and I had to stat all over. I like the down to earth way Lauren Carr makes her characters. She gives them full personalities that are well thought out and in depth. They do not seem like a character but like she took them after a real person.  I love how the story does not get stagnant it is constantly moving, and she does not go over board on the romance either.

 I have read one other of Lauren Carr's books and sh carried some of the characters into this book, so it was like running into old friends. I do like how she left those character's as they were in her other series, instead of changing them. I will personally be looking forward to  the next book in this series.

Our little one is learning to Potty Train, and he is a boy, he follows Daddy into the bathroom, and wants to pee like daddy.  When he does try to pee like daddy he makes a mess on the regular potty chair.  This fits perfectly on the side of the bathtub.  We used the inclosed  hooks and suction cup system to hang it with.  When he does go potty this is simple to lift it up and empty it. He likes the little spinny target. Our 3 year old girl has even tried this, not with good results though. This is a one piece potty so no leaking parts. The suction cups are very strong and we have noticed no slipping.  It is adorable also. It is very easy to clean, since there are no separate parts.

Bluetooth Headphones, Noise Isolating Wireless Headset with Microphone by Dreaminex

I have been using these earbuds for a couple days now.  They're very simple to pair to my computer,  phone,  tablet and mp3 player.  The sound quality is excellent.  The volume level is great.  And I can actually walk out of the room and still hear.  It comes with the earphones, charging cord, six sets of earbuds (three sets are white and 3 are black) in three different sizes, and instructions.  Just charge them up, pair them up, and you're ready to listen.  They're very comfortable to wear.

ARIKON Natural Wood Hard Panel Stand Holder

I love this wood stand. The 2 different colors of wood pieces look amazing together. It is very sturdy and strong. You can display just about anything on it and not have to worry about it falling over or breaking. It just adds to what ever yo display on it. Works great for tablets, cell phones, books, photos, artwork, family bible, and more. It is so easy to put together too, just slide the 2 grooves together and done. No tools, no glue, and no elbow grease, it slides easily.

Travelwey Travel Alarm Clock

This is a great 3 x 3 inch square alarm clock.  It is lighted.  It works on 1 AA battery, which is not included.  It seems to keep time great.  When the alarm goes off, it starts of with low beeps then goes into a higher pitch louder beeps, and it has a snooze button.  This clock is small enough to fit in a suitcase, overnight bag, purse,  glove compartment, or wherever you need to stash it.

 I would like to thank Travelwey for sending me a replacement when my mail truck burnt while it was in transit with my original clock.

Mini Office/Bedroom Ultra-sonic Humidifier by EWARE

This is a great humidifier for having in a room while you're sick or not, but definitely when you have a sick child it's very nice to have.  It is very easy to use.  Just put some water in, turn it on, and let it do its job.  Is is compact compared the ones I have had in the past. You can see it working in my video.

Anti Wrinkle Face Cream with Vitamin C and Anti Wrinkle Face Serum with Vitamin C - Combo Set from UNT

This is a great combo of beauty products. I have used other face creams and serums. This set together is a great addition to my nightly routine. I use the serum then follow it with the cream. I can feel the skin on my face tightening as well as the cream leaving my face baby smooth. The is no fragrance to them, the cream really has no smell at all. The Serum on the other hand as with every serum I have smelled does have a smell, from the ingredients. The smell is by no means good, but it is not something that is so offensive that I cannot tolerate it until it dries. As soon as it is dries the smell is gone. The results are well worth the minute or so of smelling it.
   I live how my face is looking and feeling better in a little over a week. I have a couple of fine lines that are looking like they want to start but no wrinkles and I am not going to get wrinkles without fighting. This stuff I honestly believe will help me to win that fight.
