Beauty Lashious Pink Eyelash Curler Review
This is the best eyelash curler set I have used yet. I got the pink eyelash curler and I love love love the handle design, makes it so easy to grip your eyelashes and no slipping around. This is a one shot deal, you aren't having to chase around to grab your eyelashes because it is not slipping out of your fingers. I really like the little clip that holds it closed so the junk sprinkles that is in all of our purses does not get all over the pads. It also really does curl your lashes and it really does not pull your eyelashes out while curling them. I have used some curlers, that afterwards I had to check and make sure I had some eyelashes left. This one was pain free. It is about 4 inches long, so shorter then the leading brands even, and to me being shorter makes them easier to use, my hands shake, so being able to use my cheek as a stabilizer does help. These would also make a great beauty gift.
I received this product in exchange for my honest opinion.
Life Outside the Box Blog Tour & Giveaway
Book Description:
Real Stories about Real People to Entertain, Inspire and Challenge You.
Get inspired to step out of your box and into a world full of potential. From the corporate world, to the arts, to working with the disenfranchised – the message is clear. There is no such thing as a normal way to live your life and no one right solution to any problem. Selected from amongst over 100 interviews, the stories shared here open a window on the journeys of seven women and three men who have charted their own path, including Ruthie Davis – top U.S. luxury shoe designer and the winner of the 2014 AAFA Footwear Designer of the Year award – and Geir Ness whose perfume is a staple in Nordstrom, Disney World and on Disney Cruise Lines. Enjoy a glimpse behind the scenes into the unique ways these individuals chose to deal with life's challenges and how they define success in their careers.
Author's Bio:
Marilyn R. Wilson is a freelance writer and editor with a passion for interviewing. It all began in 2006 when the she answered a Craigslist ad from a NY magazine asking for story submissions. Two were accepted. The first live interview was life changing and Wilson has never looked back. With over 150 interviews now behind her, the love of interviewing is still as strong as ever. Whether through a random encounter on the New York subway or via a “one-on-one” interview with an internationally recognized artist, the goal is the same—to share the unique journeys of inspiring individuals.
In 2007, this goal led the author to co-launch a successful, innovative magazine focused on professionals working in the fashion industry, paired with photography and illustrations by local artists. Now on staff at Raine Magazine (NY/Miami/LA), as well as freelancing for other publications, Wilson has taken her passion to a new audience with the release of her first book.

Interview with Marilyn R. Wilson:
When did you first consider yourself a writer?
This is actually a little hard to answer. For myself – I believe a writer is someone who writes. Period. However, in today's society we don't seem to value anyone as a professional unless they earn a regular paycheck. For me, the magic moment came when I looked at my first published magazine article. Whether I publish on a blog or sell articles – I am a writer. It's in my blood.
Do you have a specific style?
To the best of my ability, I try to write in a voice that is the same as what you would hear if I was sharing with you in person over a cup of coffee. I also try to offer a style that is easy to read. I want the experience to be relaxing and enjoyable, the words to flow easily.
How did you come up with the title?
I was very fortunate to take a writer's workshop with Influence Publishing founder, Julie Salisbury, where I laid out my book. It all came together for me but the title. Life Outside the Box is one she suggested and I immediately knew it was the right one.
What helped you get past writer's block?
I really struggled with serious writer's block several times during the time it took to finish my first book. There were two things that helped. The weather was beautiful during the final 5 months so I started bike riding the minute I felt the stress climb. An hour riding hard and I came home more relaxed. The second was a lovely woman from my publisher who started emailing me every Sunday to ask what I had accomplished the last week and what my goals were for the upcoming week. Just knowing that email was coming helped get me writing.
What avenue did you take to publish your book and why?
Traditional publishing is not an easy door to open as a first time writer and you often have to sell all rights to the manuscript. Self-publishing is a great avenue for some, but a lot of responsibility and it's important to research costs for editing and proofing and cover art ahead of time as well as understand circulation limitations. I chose to work with a hybrid publisher that had a set contract fee to control costs as well as U.S. and Canadian distributors so that I can access all markets.
If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in Life Outside the Box?
Yes. Overall, the book has turned out just the way I envisioned it, but I realized near the end I wish I had included at least one photo of each of the ten individuals. I think that a small visual for the reader would have been the icing on the cake.
Is there anything you hope readers will take away from Life Outside the Box?
Interviewing has changed me in so many ways. Each time I hear another unique story, there is always a message for me. In the end, the most important is probably to be inspired to live the life that is calling you. Let go of your reservations and open that door to embrace your passion.

14 day Skinny Teatox Review
I received my 14 day Skinny Teatox in exchange for my honest review.
In my package I received a 2 week supply of loose leaf morning tea, a 2 week supply of evening tea teabags , the cutest little strawberry shaped silicone steeper, and a pamphlet explaining how to use the teas.
Every morning you are to drink 1 cup of the day tea, fill your steeper with 1 teaspoon of the dry tea leaves let it steep for 2 to 4 minutes in a cup of hot water. The tea smells amazing, tastes great too. It turns your water a greenish color.
The night teabags are the detoxing ones, you drink a cup of this tea every other night. This tea comes in tea bags. This has a wonderful flavor also. It is a little more bolder then the daytime tea. It has no caffeine so it won't keep you up at night.
The 2nd morning I woke up with a bit of a unhappy belly, but this is the detoxing doing it's job. I did wait until the weekend to start the tea so i could see how it effected me. It would not of been bad enough to call in sick, it does have gentle laxative qualities to it.
So far I have not really lost any weight, but I do feel more energized, and the night tea is still working but I have only been drinking the tea for a few days. I will post updates as I go.'
Check out Skinny Teatox on their website for this package and more flavors. They have other flavors mint and chocolate. They also have a program designed just for men.
GoPure Naturals Rosehip Oil Review
This stuff is great for just about any skin problem you can think of. It Reduces the Appearance of Fine Lines and Wrinkles. Soothes Dry, Sensitive Skin. And significantly Improves the appearance of Age Spots, Acne Scars, Eczema and Dark Spots. It is also good for your hair, for dry skin, stretch marks, fingernails, wrinkles, and more.
I found it works best for my skin when I get out of the shower, While my skin is still moist from the shower I just rub a few drops in. My skin drinks it in really quickly, it is not greasy or sticky like some oils.
It only has a slight smell and it is natural smell, there is no fragrance added. Actually there are no fillers added at all. It is 100% Pure and organic.
It comes in a glass bottle with an eye dropper for easy application, 4 ounces may not sound like a lot on paper but its a rather large bottle and you only need a couple of drops so it will last a long time.
I have used several products from Go Pure and I haven't found one yet I haven't loved.
I received this at a huge discount in exchange for my honest review.
Hybrid Protective Case for Galaxy S6 & S6 Edge Review
I received this great Abacus 24-7 Hybrid Protective case in exchange for my honest opinion.
I chose the pink one and it is a very vibrant pink at that. It went on my Galaxy S6 phone very easily but securely. The cut out holes are all in the correct spots, it does not get in the way of the cameras, the buttons, or the plug in for power or head phones.
The back is a textured surface, with rubber top and bottom along with the part that goes around to the front. There is a lip around the front that would keep you screen front being hit if it were dropped face down.
I really like this case, my Daughter liked it more I guess, she snatched it.
UNi Argan Oil Review
I love Argan oil and this one is great. I put it in my hair and on my skin. I jut love how soft it makes both. I really love that this one is 100% pure organic. It has no smell, and it absorbs very quickly, leaving no greasy feel. I love that it has and eye dropper to make dosage so to speak easier.
I don't know a lot about grades but this one is triple extra virgin purity, that just sounds like it has to be top of the line. It is very clear as you can see in the picture.
This argan oil comes in a amber glass bottle, which I do know helps with keeping it fresh. It is a very large 4 ounce bottle. It only takes a few drops, so this bottle will last a very long time.
I did receive mine in exchange for my honest opinion.
THE TRUTH, DIARY OF A GUTSY TWEEN review stop
The Truth, Diary of a Gutsy Tween
by Barbara
Becker Holstein
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My Review:
Although I am not a tween or a teen, I really enjoyed this book. Parts of it were like a walk down memory lane. I really stopped and thought back to my teenage years.
I wished I had of had this book when my girls were growing up. Having this book may have made some of the situations with my daughter easier. For both them and me.
This book is written in a diary format, by a nameless 11 year old. It is like a one sided story. All about the situations, thought, and feelings this girl was having, how she felt she should deal with them and how she did deal with them, and the outcomes.
I think this would be a great book if you have a teen or tween daughter. I would have to suggest that you the parent read it first, then give it to your child to read, then discuss it afterwards. It may or may not help you with discussing your childs feeling about real things in her life. Itmay also help you relate better to your childs feelings.
I think this was a great book and give it 5 stars.
BLURB:
"I
hate Angela and I wish she would move away tomorrow!" "I get so
worried when I hear my parents fighting at night." "My mother thinks
my crush is silly. I know I am in love!" "I have so many questions
about growing up. Who will answer them?" "I feel so awful when Jake
makes fun of me." "When I grow up I going to remember how to have fun
with my kids and never look away." Growing up is tough. Adults don't
always understand you (even though they were once kids), and children today
face increasing pressure to be, look, or act a certain way. Written in the
voice of a girl on the cusp of becoming a teenager, The Truth provides young
girls with an opportunity to see how a girl, who is in many ways like
themselves, handles her toughest problems and most personal thoughts. Each new
page brings forth a discussion to help girls handle everyday problems: How do
you survive a bully? How do you handle a crush on a boy? What can you do about
relentless teasing by your peers? What really matters as you grow older?
In
a positive and supportive diary-entry format, Dr. Barbara Becker Holstein
encourages tween girls to carry the most precious parts of themselves into
adulthood. A great book for mothers and daughters to read together, The Truth
is aimed to improve communication, understanding, and self-esteem for young
girls as they enter the rocky road of teenager-dom.
EXCERPT:
Date: December 2
Dear Diary,
I have a secret and it’s been eating me up inside, so I have
to tell you. I lied to Angela. I told her I had a terrible sore throat and
couldn’t come for the weekend. She said she was sorry and that she would invite
me again. I felt terrible, and then my throat really began to hurt. But I just
couldn’t go to Springport for a whole weekend_even though I miss being around
Angela.
Now that I have best friends here, I don’t feel the same way
I used to about going back to visit. And I didn’t know how to tell Angela that.
I could tell when we talked on the phone that she really wanted me to come. And
she sent me a new selfie, holding a sign that reads I Miss You! She even told
me that she doesn’t have a new best friend since I left. She really misses me.
She also told me that Paul is in lots of her classes and he asks if she’s
talked to me. How could I tell her I’m in love with Rob and don’t care about
Paul anymore? How could I tell her that I have new best friends and want to
stay here with them?
I did go to Sally’s instead, and we had the best time. Her
mother ordered pizza for us and we drank Coke. We watched television and made
popcorn and did each other’s hair with all of Sally’s older sister’s hair
products we found in the bathroom. I look silly with curly hair. We kept
laughing and falling on the floor and giggling, and we played this fun game
that Jackie learned in camp last summer. We all lay down on the floor and we
each put our head on someone else’s belly. Someone says, “Ha-ha,” and then the
next person says, “Haha- ha,” until everyone is laughing. Then you can’t stop
laughing because the belly you are on is bouncing all around under your head.
Sally’s mom got really angry at all the noise we were making, and we had to
turn off the lights and pretend to go to sleep. I hardly slept a wink, though.
I was so excited and having so much fun with my new friends. I was tired the
next morning and really did have a sore throat when I went home, but I didn’t
care. It was worth it to have so much fun.
AUTHOR Bio and Links:
I have been a
positive psychologist in private practice for the past thirty years. In the
course of working with my clients, I originated the idea of THE ENCHANTED
SELF(R), a positive psychology therapy where I teach people how to recognize
and utilize their strengths, talents, skills and even lost potential. I have
developed a number of methods, including using our memories to rediscover what
is right about ourselves and our lives, rather than what went wrong, helping
people to overcome adversity, experience positive emotions and live the good
life!
Since
developing this concept, I've been able to use many tools to bring the
Enchanted Self to everyone, particularly women and girls. I've written many
books, starting with THE ENCHANTED SELF, A Positive Therapy, and then Recipes
for Enchantment, The Secret Ingredient is YOU!
My books for girls are very popular, as they are great fictional reads
and also help deal with many of the questions that trouble kids as they move into
the tween and teen years. The Truth,
Diary of a Gutsy Tween and Secrets, Diary of a Gutsy Teen are the first two
books in this series.
I really love
to teach and educate about happiness and how to benefit from positive
psychology in ways that let us lead lives of meaning and happiness. You can
