HDDT2BS Dual Bay USB 3.0 Super Speed Review

The HDDT2BS Dual Bay USB 3.0 is amazing and it is really fast. I work on computers for friends and this made that job a whole lot easier when it comes to transferring files from one computer to another. Instead of having a boat load of USB sticks on hand in order to copy stuff from one computer to another, just pop the hard drive, plug it into the slot, hook up the USB cord to the new computer and the dock and transfer what you want quickly and easily. This will work with both  HDD & SDD hard drives and since it is a dual dock you can work with 2 at a time. You get the USB 3.0 Dual Bay HDD & SDD Docking Station, USB 3.0 data cable, power adapter cable, user's manual, plus our no-hassle 18-month warranty, and a nice box to hold it all for storage.
I did receive mine in exchange for my honest review.

Skinny Blend by Skinny Jane Review

Not over the moon about the flavor, but it does help fight hunger. I don't usually finish the whole drink before I feel full. Try it in a milk product it does help with the taste. The energy boost is pretty good too. I did add some real strawberries and put it all in the blender, then the freezer for a little while,  it was pretty good that way. There is enough powder in this bag to make 30 shakes. I did get mine fin exchange for my honest review

Tekubox Waterproof Wireless Speaker Review + Giveaway

This is an amazing little speaker. It is totally waterproof, just ask my daughter who knocked it loose while in the shower and it fell on the shower floor. It has a silicone cover over it.
  My daughter likes to have her music while taking a shower and it is very loud since her phone or radio is setting on the counter while in the shower, with this speaker she can put it in the shower with her and it does not have to be quite so loud since it is not on the other side of the room.  Now this is not saying that this speaker isn't loud because it is VERY loud when turned full up and your device is full up also. With one touch you can also answer your phone, with another button and 1 touch you can switch songs The sound is very clear, not like the person is in a barrel when you are using the phone feature.
 This is also great for outdoor use. Around the pool, at the beach, boating, playing int he rain. You name it.
 It is fully chargeable. It holds up to 6 hours of use. A large suction cup that sticks to most non porous surfaces. It is dust proof. It was very easy to pair it to my devices. It has a 10 meter or 30 foot range. It takes about 3 hours to fully charge it. It comes in a nice plastic box for storage. It also comes with your charging cable. Just plug the micro USB end the slot on the side and the USB end into either your computer or an AC adapter.
  I was given my speaker in exchange for my honest review, and honestly my family of 4 all love it s we give it a 8 thumbs up.

VIXEN IN VENICE by KATE DEVEAUX Book Blast

A VIXEN IN VENICE
by Kate Deveaux

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BLURB:
He’s an art thief on the run…with her heart
Look closer, into Hotel Totally Five Star Venice, where art curator Monique Le Bres has just walked through the doors of the newly opened swanky luxury hotel to assist with their art collection.
Alessandro Bonnard, the world-renowned art connoisseur and collector has been sent incognito to supervise Monique and oversee her acquisitions for the hotel.
Concealing his true identity, Alessandro is intrigued by the art-loving vixen with an appetite for kinky sex. He pursues Monique, charming her at every turn — taking her to places she’s never been — both in and out of bedroom.
Monique falls hard for the man who has utterly captured her body and soul. Only to find out he isn’t who she thought he was after all…he’s an art thief on the run…with her heart.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Excerpt :

Glancing down at the small map she clutched in one hand, Monique looked back up at the tiny storefronts crammed along the waterway, trying her best not to be overrun by the barrage of tourists filling the tight corridors that ran between buildings and the canal’s murky edge. Searching for landmarks and any discernable signage, she bumped her way between tourists who were busy ogling the unusual architecture that at that moment proved more of an impediment than an attractant.

Tugging at her suitcases, Monique forged on.

The last thing she wanted to do was be late for her new job.

Lurching sideways to avoid a family carrying ice cream cones and pointing enthusiastically at the sights, Monique teetered on her heels to avoid bearing the brunt of their gelatos as they passed. Oblivious to the obstacle they presented to Monique, they carried on, leaving her in their wake.

The wheels on her cumbersome luggage stuck on a rogue stone at the same time her heel gave way. Tumbling down towards the uneven cobbles Monique gasped out loud.

A hand reached out from the crowd and grabbed for her just as her bottom grazed the ground, protecting her from the brunt of her fall by swooping her back up on her feet in one motion.

“Mademoiselle, soyez prudent,” a deep voice urged her to be careful in French.

Monique squinted into the late day sun at nothing short of a vision. A majestic man, early forties, with chin length sandy blonde hair, a goatee and deep set blue eyes that were rimmed by thin metal glasses stood before her. Her hand clasped in his. The man’s tailored camelhair overcoat told her he was distinguished as did the flash of his fancy watch, probably Swiss and very expensive from the sparkle of the crystal that caught her eye as she steadied herself.

“Stai bene Signorina?” he asked if she was okay in a beautiful swoosh of Italian. The words slipping between his lips like honey pooling onto the cool stones.

First he spoke French, then Italian. It was official. Monique must be in heaven.  She’d heard the stereotypes and the holiday stories of her friends vacationing in Europe, but nothing had prepared her for the man who still had her hand in his.

“Fine, yes, thank you, merci…I mean grazie,” she offered, flustered and realizing she was quite able to stand on her own. Reluctantly she let go of his hand to reach down and remove her broken-heeled shoe. “Just tripped on a stone. Una scarpa verso il bass… dieci per andare.” She hoped her Italian wasn’t too rusty.

He just looked at her. Oh damn, it must be more rusty than she’d thought.

“One shoe down, ten to go,” she repeated in English with a nervous laugh, motioning to her luggage. Hoping to make a joke of how many shoes were crammed in her overstuffed bags to cover her embarrassment of very nearly being splayed out on the canal sidewalk if not for the efforts of her handsome saviour.

“Are you sure? I can fetch someone for you if you need assistance Signorina,” the man asked and then glanced anxiously over his shoulder. Monique suspected from his unease that he must have a wife who no doubt would appear any moment and be less than happy to find her hubby fraternizing with Monique. It wasn’t the first time that had happened.

“No, I’m fine, really. Mille grazie.” She thanked him as she looked into his eyes, their depth making her off balance as well as her having only one shoe on and the way he called her Signorina. The word slipping from his mouth like silk.

“Just tell me where I am, that would be very helpful,” she shifted her weight to the shoeless foot and immediately dropped down a few inches, making her even shorter against his tall stature.

“Calle Ostreghe,” he said the name of the street as she dipped her head down to remove her other shoe.

“See much better,” she said, now even footed in her stocking feet,  now firmly planted on the cool stones.

But her words were met by empty space.

The man was gone as quickly as he’d appeared, the swish of his long coat disappearing through the crowds, barely visible around the corner as Monique looked on as if it had been an apparition. A tall handsome apparition.  And one that was seemingly desperate to get away from her before his wife showed up. Lucky woman having a man like that.

Heuer Lost And Found Unapologetic Lives Book 1 By: A. B. Funkhause Review

At first the book was a little hard for me to follow, took a few chapters to really get into the book, but once I did, I wanted to finish it in one setting. Couldn't but wanted to.
  The book runs the gamut of emotions. One minute you want to cry for the characters, the next you are uncontrollably laughing out loud, and your husband is looking at you like you lost your mind, at least mine did.
 In the story you get to meet the staff of the Weibigand Brothers Funeral Home, they are a quirky bunch of folks. Then the star of the book Jurgen Heuer. He passes away in his very messy flat and while waiting to be found tries to figure out his new existence or non-existence I guess. Once he is found he and taken to the Weibigand Funeral home where the story really beings. His ex-Girlfriend Enid is the mortician there.
  Heuer is one of those character's that you don't really hate but you don't fall in love with him either but yet in the end you want him to succeed.

I was given a copy of this book i exchange for my honest review.

Short Excerpt:

Enid Krause nee Engler had made her way down to the embalming room where he lay waiting for her. She paused on her way to dither over some emails and, he noted with approval, to check out Kijiji for vintage GTO’s. Next, she mucked about with the coffee maker, juicing up her brew with two bags of pre-packaged Columbian. This, he noted wryly, was not the wisest thing to do when one’s hands were already shaky. It was apparent to him that she liked her booze as much as he did, and if she were to play around with sharp things, she stood a good chance of facing him sooner, rather than later.
“It is here that you must speak to her,” the lamp intruded, muddling his thoughts and destroying his pleasure. He did not like this popping in and out at will inside his head. He hoped her powers were limited to audiences in the basement, but not so—she was a body trapped in a house she did not choose, yet her spirit travelled, permeating the mind at will. “If you want to move on, it must be so. Put things right, mein Schön.”
He frowned at her use of ‘Schön.’ It was his term of endearment, yet she took it for her own, as if her right to trample him escheated once he agreed to do her bidding.
Make amends. Sure. The Holy Moly Book of Hooey said so, but to which place would he go thereafter? The land of milk and honey, where everyone ran around in bed sheets? Or the other place, where no amount of sunscreen would help? “Neither,” the lamp said confidently, her words ironic, because she was a lamp and obviously hadn’t been anywhere. “To your purpose,” she said, twisting him in the direction of Enid, who muttered under her breath as she fumbled with her earrings.
He grinned, longing to see what she would do next: Fraulein Engler was obviously struggling over his dramatic return, and for good reason. They had not parted on the best of terms. She wept sentimentally in the coroner’s suite—woman’s tears—much to her colleague’s chagrin, and now she was dragging her feet like a shotgun bride. Walking alongside her, he thought about theatres and floorboards and actors moving from mark to mark, their steps mapped out strategically on the floor with sticky tape. “This is why people spend so much time and money on make believe, Mächen,” he said. “It’s so much better to watch.”
Enid managed to get past the door that separated the O.R. from Weibigand’s outer hall, where she was greeted by the buzz and hum of a big fan that would keep his stink off of her. He concentrated on the noisy traffic that was her brain: like car tires spinning, rubber burning, a lonely heart hammering, and an incomprehensible fear. He was in despicable shape and it would take every ounce of skill to bring him to heel.

About the Author:

A.B. Funkhauser is a funeral director, fiction writer and wildlife enthusiast living in Ontario, Canada. Like most funeral directors, she is governed by a strong sense of altruism fueled by the belief that life chooses us and we not it.

“Were it not for the calling, I would have just as likely remained an office assistant shuffling files around, and would have been happy doing so.”

Life had another plan. After a long day at the funeral home in the waning months of winter 2010, she looked down the long hall joining the director’s office to the back door leading three steps up and out into the parking lot. At that moment a thought occurred: What if a slightly life-challenged mortician tripped over her man shoes and landed squarely on her posterior, only to learn that someone she once knew and cared about had died, and that she was next on the staff roster to care for his remains?

Like funeral directing, the writing called, and four years and several drafts later, Heuer Lost and Found was born.

What’s a Heuer? Beyond a word rhyming with “lawyer,” Heuer the lawyer is a man conflicted. Complex, layered, and very dead, he counts on the ministrations of the funeral director to set him free. A labor of love and a quintessential muse, Heuer has gone on to inspire four other full length works and over a dozen short stories.

“To my husband John and my children Adam and Melina, I owe thanks for the encouragement, the support, and the belief that what I was doing was as important as anything I’ve tackled before at work or in art.”

Funkhauser is currently working on a new manuscript begun in November during NaNoWriMo 2014.
