About Elle Christensen

Elle Christensen I'm a lover of all things books, I've been an obsessive reader since I learned how to spell! I've been writing novels and short stories since I was twelve, but they say to write the genre you love the most, so as an adult, I fell easily into writing romance. My husband is my biggest supporter and he's a great sport when it comes to fighting the people in my imagination for my attention. I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoy writing them!

My Review: Firstchefpro Dual Julienne vegetable peeler

I was chosen to receive and try the Firstchefpro Dual Julienne vegetable peeler in exchange for my honest review.
The peeler has dual blades one side it for peeling the other is for julienning. It is made of stainless steel and seems to be very sturdy. It has a hook on the end for hanging. There are 2 nubs one on each side for digging out potato eyes or bad spots. The blades seem to be extremely sharp and peeled very quickly without having to put loads of pressure on it. I do think the julienne side made the pieces a bit thin though.
It is very easy to clean up just swish around in some hot soapy water or toss in the dishwasher.
The company offers a no haggle money back guarantee. Which I don't personally think you will be needing.

My Review: K2R-803 Portable Charger with flashlight

I was chosen to use and review the K2R-803 Portable Charger with flashlight for my honest review.
The K2R-803 Portable Charger with flashlight so far is amazing, I do have other portable chargers, but this one allows you to charge not 1 but 2 devices at once and has a flashlight. It comes in a nice cardboard box that everything fits in nicely , it has a micro usb cord, a iphone cord, and the charger itself. It is about 2x2x1 , has 4 small blue lights on  the back to tell you how much charge you have, it is fully charged when all 4 are lit. The cord itself has a red light on the micro usb end when it is either charging your device or the charger itself. It turns blue when is not plugged in to anything, and flashes blue/red when your device is charged.  You can still use your device while it is charging.  And if you have a need for it the cable is also a data cable so you won't need to drag another cable along also.
The flashlight has 2 LED bulbs and is really quite bright. Would be great if you had a power outage or dropped your keys or if you were out camping or just about any dark situation.
The charger comes with a 1 year warranty but if you register it with i 28 days it will extend your warranty to 3 years, and you get a coupon for a single use 20% any of their products, and 50% off any new releases.
My husband and I do a lot of day and weekend traveling plus our yearly vacations, this will be great for tossing in our bag and not having to worry about finding some place to charge our phones, cameras, tablets. The USB end can plug into any USB charger, car, electrical, or computer.

My review: Chalk Markers By Colore - 6mm Bullet and Chisel Tip - 8 Pack Bright Vibrant Colors by Colore

My house has lots of mirrors inside and lot of windows, these have made easy work or decorating, and also for leaving little notes around the house for my husband and kids. I also took a 11x13 picture frame put white paper under the glass and wrote notes on it hung one of the pens to it and instantly have a note board. The colors are vibrant and sharp. The silicone pen holder is great for setting on the desk and keeping the pens all in one place.

My Review: Rooms by Lauren Oliver Audiobook

This is kind of a strange story, it wasn't bad don'g get me wrong. Just different. This book was written from the Ghost's perspective.
The ghost's are Alice who has been in the house the longest and Sandra. Alice was a wife and mother who was abused, Sandra was a drunk. They each lived in the house during different era's in time.
In the time of the book, the house was owned by the recently deceased Richard Walker. His estranged family come to the house in order to claim their inheritance and to deal with Richard's final arrangements. His ex-wife Caroline is a bitter drunk, Trenton his son, is a suicidal teenager who was in a horrible accident, Minna is Richards daughter who is really pretty messed up with the way she thinks and feels towards pretty much everything, and then little Amy, Minna's daughter.
I have to say this was kind of a peculiar (maybe) story. It was not scary even though there were ghosts. But it was a book that you just had to keep reading. Just to see where it all ended.
I loved the voice of Alice, she sounds like the teacher Minerva McGonagall in the Harry Potter movies :)

My Review: Once Haunted, Twice Shy (Peyton Clark #2) by H.P. Mallory Audiobook

I listened to the audiobook, and I really enjoyed it. I just wish I had gotten book 1 first. It is a more or less stand alone book, it does make references to book 1 but not so much so that you needed book one to make heads or tails out of this book.
I really liked the characters in the book and the way they came across, and with the audiobook I loved the narrators take on each characters voice, she done a great job. She was really good with the French accent of Drake the ghost.
In the story Peyton Clark is possessed willingly by Drake Montague. Who she is crushing on even though he is a ghost, oh and yea he is crushing back. Drake was a police officer in the early 1900's in New Orleans where this book takes place. He used to also own the house Peyton inherited. This is where book 1 would of came in handy, so you fully knew what the relationships of everyone was.
The supernatural activity is really kicking up and Peyton discovers that the Ax Man (who they thought they got rid of in book 1) is coming back to take out all of New Orleans starting with Peyton. The only way to stop the Ax Man is for Peyton to go back in time to 1920 and take him out. And she will need the help of a flesh and blood Drake.

My Review: Silicone Fried Egg Mold

I was given this fried egg mold fat a huge discount for my honest review. I made eggs for breakfast in order to try this adorable mold. I used large eggs and they fit pretty well, but I think a medium egg would of worked better. Mine did not turn out very neat as the though. But that has nothing to do with the product itself. The silicone was a breeze to clean up, I just kind of swished it around in hot soapy water, really didn't need to use a cloth since nothing stuck to it, then patted it dry with a paper towel. The was no sign of any melting, but then silicone is made to be durable around heat. I really liked this can't wait to see if there are other shapes to come.  Oh and Love that it's BPA free!!
