My Review: Tidings of Murder and Woe by: Cathy Spencer
Tidings of Murder and Woe by: Cathy Spencer
The book is about Anna Nolen an administrative assistant to Dr. Magdalena Lewis in the Kinesiology Department at Calgary's Chinook University.
Anna has had a bad year so far her ex-husband was murdered in the spring and she was the top suspect. And another murderaround Halloween.
Julia Moreland owner of Westmore Resources an oil comapny and Golden Farm Fertilizer has been murdered by water hemlock poisoning, is the step mother to Warren, Magdalena's boyfriend. Latona Taylor Julia's personal assistant is also murdered.
Magdalena asks Anna for her help during the investigation and Anna tells her no, but when Warren is arrested for Julia's murder a distraught Magdalena comes to Anna adain who then agrees to help.
Almost everyone in this book becomes a suspect at some point in the book. The suspect list grows with almost every turn of the page.
If you like who done its with lots of twists and turns you should grab a copy if this book. And at the end there is a tasty looking recipe for Hello Dolly Squares.

My Review: River Kitchen Digital Meat Thermometer Review
I received the River Kitchen Digital Meat Thermometer Review for an honest review. I love the fact that it is 8 inches long, I have a 4 inch one and well sometimes the steam can take off a layer of skin, with this one it's long enough you don't have to get quite a close, but yet it will be perfect to get deep enough in a large ham or whatever. I used it on a baked chicken and it done great. It is digital which I also like and the display isn't too tiny to see. It has a case to stick the probe in for storage. Not only is is good for cooking but it has a huge temperature range it goes from -58 to 572 fahrenheit. The Thermometer seems gauge the temperature correctly or close enough my chicken was cooked perfectly. I washed it up with a wet paper towel. Check it out on Amazon

My Review: WIND CHIME CAFE BY SOPHIE MOSS (audiobook)
I was given a copy of this audiobook for a honest review.
This is a very down to earth story. It deals with several problems going on in the real world right now. It's about Annie, her daughter Taylor, and Will. Taylor has PTSD from her 2nd grade elementary school which someone came in and shot her whole class room except her, because she was hiding in a broom closet. Will is a Navy Seal who secretly also is dealing with PTSD from a battle in Afganistan.
Annie packed her daughter up from Washington DC and moves to Heron Island, in order to live out her dream of owning a restaurant and to help Taylor heal. Annie's success depends on the future resort to be built in the area.
Will is back home in Heron Island for the first time in 10 years in order to sell his recently deceased Grand Parents inn. When Will finds out the person wanting to buy the inn is a cooperation wanting to tear it down and turn it into a resort. He decides he can't have that and wants his realitor to only sell to someone who will keep it as a inn.
When Will and Annie meet though there is almost an instant connection. Annie is very doubtful though since Will is in the military and lives in California. Grab a copy of this book to fill in all the blanks I have left open. It's worth the read. It will drag you in and take you through a torrent of emotions with the characters and in the end leave you wanting more.

My Review: The Night Is Forever: Book 11 in Krewe of Hunters series By Heather Graham
Another Great story from Heather Graham.
This is Book 11 from the Krewe of Hunters series. In this one we meet Agent Dustin Blake and Olivia Gordon.
Olivia is a Therapist on a horse farm in Tennessee, dedicated to helping people with Addictions, mental and physical disabilities, and rescuing horses. Everything is going great until people start dying. The first being the founder of the reserve, a 20 year recovery addict. Everyone think he went back on the drugs and accidentally fell into a ravine and died, except Olivia who calls her cousin Malachi who works with the Krewe (a special FBI unit dealing with the paranormal). This is where Dustin Black comes in. Malachi sends him in under the ruse of needing Therapy. As the story goes another member of the horse farm is killed, and the list of suspects continues to grow almost with each turn of the page. Oh yea and let's not forget the ghosts. A Civil War General and the 2 murdered colleagues. A few times the story did get a little long winded in descriptions but still a great book.

My Review: Big Boys Sleep In Their Own beds by: Ayala Saar
I was given this book in exchange for my honest review.
This is an adorable book for small children. It teaches them to be independent and to be proud of their achievements. It is written is what I call poetry or rhyming form. Makes a great bedtime story.
The book is bout 4 year old Tommy. Tommy is very proud of himself for all the things he can do by himself. One night he has a bad dream and goes to his parents bed. Daddy takes him back to his own bed where Tommy does end up sleeping. And proves to himself he is a Big boy.

Nikki's Review: Bringer (The Paranormals, Book 4) (Kindle Edition) by: Jenny Plague
I couldn't have asked for a better ending to the paranormal series! I had such a hard time putting it down, it was as if the book was constantly calling me back to it. It drove me crazy until I was able to pick it back up and continue the story. After finding the first book in the series Jenny Pox, I quickly fell in love the story and the characters and it's been a wonderful journey watching Jenny and Seth mature and gain a better understanding of themselves and their powers.
Jenny and Seth's story picks up a year later with them living a comfortable life in Paris everything seems to be working out for them. They have escaped the CDC and Homeland security, Ashleigh and Alexander are dead, and Seth and Jenny are happy. Unfortunately it doesn't last long. Not only does Jenny have to struggle with the fact that she's pregnant, and from past experiences it has never worked out, new characters are popping up and disturbing their peaceful life. Jenny and Seth now have a much more powerful enemy than Ashleigh and their journey is filled with fear, new friends and revisiting their past life memories.
All in all, I am sad that Jenny's journey is now over but I am thrilled that she finally gets to have her happily ever after.
