Island Heir by J. Haney & S.I. Hayes

Title: Island Heir
Authors: J. Haney & S.I. Hayes
Genre: Interracial Contemporary Romance
Release Date: May 1, 2020

Left at the altar on her wedding day, Autumn Elizabeth Ashley, angry and broken hearted takes off on what should have been her Honeymoon with her Maid of Honor and best friend Nadia Havarti.

Autumn tries to just drown her sorrows, but Nadia won’t stand for it. Instead, she helps Autumn to remember what single is supposed to feel like. So, when a strapping mountain of unidentified local man shows interest, Autumn takes a cue from her BFF with the repercussions to match.

Dalian Emeterio grew up between worlds. His family moved from their Pious and beautiful home in Georgetown, Cayman Islands to the United States when he was just a boy. Memories of his birthplace lead him to dream of one day opening a place on the island letting him take care of the parents that worked so hard for him.

One winter night while working at a Rum Point Hotel he meets Beth and the sparks fly leading to an explosive New Year. Waking alone on the sand he thought he’d never see her again.

Ten years have passed, he is now the owner of The Georgetown Heirs, a chain of intimate hotels along the most popular Port of Calls in the Caribbean, Bahamas and the Western Atlantic.

Faced with the woman who left him on the beach, he’s about to find out that getting what you wish for always comes with strings.

I shower and toss on a tan button-down, white tank, and green cotton knee-length shorts. I had thought about jeans, but today it is supposed to be hot. I top it off with my straw hat and sandals before heading back to the main villa. By the time I finish the walkthrough, it’s almost lunchtime, and I’m starving. I make my way to the kitchen to catch Mama as she is overseeing the cooking.

“You having fun, Mama?”

“Oh, yes. The fish stew be a little salty, but we’re remedying that now. All is well. You look good, now sit, and I’ll bring the conch and Mahi-Mahi.”

I nod and head for the bar. This is my first vacation type day, so a drink is in order. I order a tropical pain killer, I love the touch of nutmeg, and pineapple mixed with rum and coconut. It’s tasty without looking like a girly drink.

Mama brings out my food and then smiles, pointing past me. “There’s one from the Grande Family now.” She waves, and I’m looking at that blonde! Her eyes bug out of her head, and she moves in a slinking fashion. Like she’s trying to hide. I follow her with my eyes, and she sits with a couple of kids, two young men, and a brunette, who’s just taking off a floppy hat. “Aren’t they all just pretty?” Mama adds.

“Yeah…” I draw out the words as the brunette adjusts her sundress straps. My eyes sail down her form and rest on her legs. She’s got stems for days. Now it’s time for me to bug out as I see an anchor anklet tattoo.

I nearly knock over my chair as I jump the bar.

“Boy, what you do, lose your head?” My Mama scolds as I pop my nose on the bar.

“It can’t be.” I whisper, snaking around crouched.

“Dalian, you get off that floor, or I’ll mop it with ya.”

“Yes, Mama. I um- I gotta go!” I freak and grabbing my plate. I high tail it to the kitchen. I mean, just because the only woman you can see yourself ever love is in your hotel isn’t any reason to starve. ~ Dalian

Mesopotamia: Civilization Begins by Ariane Thomas and Timothy Potts

5*
Mesopotamia: Civilization Begins takes you through the history from its early prehistoric times. There are tons of facts and tons of pictures. The pictures show amazing artifacts, to give you an even better understanding. Mesopotamia produced some of the most powerful and captivating art of antiquity and led the world in astronomy, mathematics, and other science. Some of which is still recognized today. You get to learn about Mesopotamia’s economy, religion, cities, cuneiform writing, rulers, and history.

The book is very interesting and the pictures are amazing to look at. And there are a lot of pictures in this book.

Amazing Churches of the World Michael Kerrigan

5*
Churches have always been a place of beauty. I love going in to churches. The older the better. The newer churches are not more than buildings. But oh the pride and love put into the older ones is just phenomenal. This book takes you on a tour of Churches all over the world. There are huge ones and small ones. There are highly decorated, and some not so much, but there is beauty in each and every one of them.

The pictures of stunning. Full color shots, of both inside and out. The book is broken down by continent. There is a small except telling you the name of the church and where it is for each picture. Some tell you when they were built, if there is a famous moment in time surrounding the church. There are over 100 Churches, Cathedrals, Chapels, and Basilicas shown in this book.

Oregon, My Oregon by Photo Cascadia

5*
I have just added Oregon to my bucket list thanks to this book. I never knew anything about all the beauty of Oregon. Its one of those states you just never hear a lot about. I had no idea there were so many waterfalls and other stunning views. I am hooked now. This book shows so many amazing views or Oregon. The pictures I know probably do not do the real thing justice but they are absolutely beautiful shots. There is short captions telling where and what by each photo but other then that no reading. Of course the pictures say everything that need to be said. There are no real words to describe the beauty in this book. This is a true coffee table book. I could look at it again and again.

NBTM FS Tour Jungle Beauty Goddesses Series by C. G. Sturges

Jungle Beauty Goddesses Series: Pretty Blue, Aquatic Ball, Dirty Ball
by C. G. Sturges

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
GENRE: Fantasy, Erotica
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

BLURB:

Jungle Beauty Goddesses “Pretty Blue” Book 1

If you were given planet Earth as a gift to develop its life forms—would the world be a better place than it is today? What would your primary expectation and goal be for each human? Would you give them free will or plan their destiny? Would you demand that your humans worship you as their creator? Would you be available to assuage their every desire; and acquiesce to their demands, prayers, and wishes? Would you grow to resent them for living the life you imagined?

The Jungle Beauty Goddesses were free-spirited goddesses who enjoyed their freedom as the youngest children—and the last deities born to their parents—creators of the universe. Per the family tradition of being awarded a planet, the septuplets were given planet Earth as a gift for their birthday. Their siblings, also gods and goddesses of the universe since the beginning of time, warn them about the challenges of selflessness, power, worship, and divine duty.

The seven sisters struggle to maintain their own freedom as limitless beings, while sibling rivalry makes it difficult to accept their collective duty to fulfill the family obligation to the deity-hood as creators for planets.

The entire universe threatens to collapse due to their negligence and disobedience. They question the boundaries of their divine powers as they ponder whether it is possible to mold a being to be superior to its creator.

Jungle Beauty Goddesses “Aquatic Ball” Book 2

Sometimes your worst nightmare is having everything you ever wanted. Upon visiting planet Earth, the Jungle Beauty Goddesses discover that the life forms they created are in danger of extinction, and an unforeseen dominant species has positioned itself to take dominion.

Unprepared and disillusioned about how to access their highest vibrational frequency; the Jungle Beauty Goddesses face their own demise.

The only way they can save themselves, their planet, and ultimately the universe is by managing to align with their deity powers and the wisdom of their highest selves in the face of their worst fears, disappointments, and betrayals.

Jungle Beauty Goddesses “Dirty Ball” Book 3

If you had the power to make anyone in the world fall in love with you—would you? Jungle Beauty Goddess Afar revokes her deity vows and takes her destiny into her own hands by participating in the life she was born to create for others.

Afar embraces the deepest, darkest nuances of her shadow self with brutality, dignity, and integrity. She brazenly unleashes the murkiest qualities of the human condition and leaves the chaos for her unsuspecting sisters to clean up or suffer the consequences of losing the planet given to them by their parents--creators of the universe.

Jungle Beauty Goddess Afar’s actions give a new meaning to the saying, “Hell has no fury like a woman scorned.”

Excerpt Two:

More human males had begun to tell stories to sailors, pirates, and fishermen on how to capture Mermaids for sex, but they would tell their wives and girlfriends that they were going on long fishing and exploration trips. Human males were really scouring the oceans and seas in search of sexual favors by hapless mermaids.

One night three large ships of human males surrounded seven mermaids and captured them with their large fishing nets. Humans had not yet developed mobile lights for their boats, so they depended heavily on the moon’s light for travel across the oceans and seas at night. The unclad Mermaids were tangled in the fishing nets fighting and screaming ferociously to free themselves while the human males laughed, joked, and made derogatory catcalls about the size of their breasts. On this particular night, the full bright moon, turned completely black, in an instance. The pitch-black night hid the mermaids from the sailors' view and they were able to safely swim back into the deep waters.

After that night, the Mermaids developed a relationship with the moon man. He advised the mermaids of the best times to travel above water and numerous other ways to protect themselves from human males. The ceremony tonight is the monthly ritual that we dedicate to the moon for saving our lives.”
