Flash
I’m a fighter by day and take my pick of the ladies at night.
I thought my life was perfect – I was wrong.
When Jennifer walked through those doors, I saw what perfection really is.
Long, dark, hair that would look good wrapped in my fist.
Soft curves that beg for my touch and a wicked mouth that promises pleasure of the most sinful kind.
The trouble is, she’s not here for me and I must look but not touch.
Warned to stay away because our protection is what she needs most because Jennifer has a secret that causes power to shift and continents to fall.
It’s a good thing I love a good fight and I’m about to have the fight of my life.

Jennifer
He’s the man that steals the breath from your body and dares you to survive.
Irresistible, insufferable and more man than one woman can stand.
A smart mouth and eyes that sparkle with sin.
Did I mention he’s off-limits?
I shouldn’t want him but I do.
I shouldn’t let him in but I can’t turn him away.
I have a child to protect and her life has more meaning than mine.
But I have needs and I need him.
Can he save me from falling because I’m about to fall – hard?

A Reaper Novella, short, sexy and sweet with a second chance romance that gave Kindle Fire its name.

Sunny
He took my first kiss.
He took my virginity.
Then on the happiest day of my life, he stole my heart and left like the thief he was.
I moved on regardless and became a star.
To the rest of the world, I’m living the dream. That dream is a nightmare
Now he’s back and wants to give my heart back.
It’s battered and bruised and I’ve changed so much it may no longer fit.
He sees the real me – he always has.
Can love work the second time around, or is it too late?
As I said, I’m living a nightmare because tomorrow is my wedding – he’s four years too late.

Tyson
She was my first love.
She was my only love.
I made the ultimate sacrifice and regretted it every day for four long and lonely years.
She doesn’t see it like that and now I’m back I must prove myself all over again.
This time the clock’s ticking because tomorrow, I stand to lose her all over again.

These men are fiercely protective, devilishly handsome and so sexy they should come with a government warning. I’ve tried to steer clear, but it’s impossible. Flash grabbed my attention from the moment I arrived because when he enters a room, it’s difficult to remember your name let alone that you should stay clear. He ruins people for a living and when he comes home, he does it all over again.

Stella Andrews loves to write about hot men and strong, beautiful women. These are the books she loves to read and spends hours wrapped in a fictitious world wishing such men were real. She firmly believes that happy ever afters do exist and there's someone special out there for everyone.

Excerpt

We stand across the room from each other. Lane with a huge
smirk plastered across his handsome face. I rub my chin, wondering how I
can bring down this brick shithouse. I used the only trick I had in my bag
of moves. What to do, what to do?
“Are you ready to charge at me again, or are you going to
let me show you how to do this properly?”
I match his smirk. “Oh, you’re going down, doll face.”
“Doll face? Really?” His eyebrows hitch.
“It’s what I said, isn’t it?” I flip him the bird, which
causes him to laugh once more.
“Okay, then it’s your funeral,” he teases.
“Or yours.”
“If you say so.”
“I do say so.”
“Well, come on then. I’m getting bored waiting.” He fake
yawns, patting his hand in front of his lips.
Him and his smart mouth.
I bend my knees then sway from side to side. Go for his
throat. That’s what I need to do.
“Are you coming or what?” He winks.
I need to show him I’m in control. I push my shoulders back
and bounce on the balls of my feet until I take off at full pace towards him,
bending my right arm and leaning in with my elbow.
Lane’s hands take my legs, and he flips me upside
down. Mothertrucker. I scramble against his strength, and
flick my legs around his neck, crossing my feet over each other behind his
head, my head bouncing by his knees.
“Wrong move again,” he says. I feel his breath between my
legs.
No shit!
I dangle, like a dead weight, until I cackle and squeeze my
thighs as hard as I can around his neck.
Death by thigh strangulation. It could happen.
“Stop!” he shouts.
It’s working. I’m winning … until I’m not.

The Bar Next Door by Katia Rose

The Bar Next Door
Katia Rose
(Barflies, #1)
Publication date: August 22nd 2019
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance
Sometimes you take the shot, and sometimes the shot takes you.
As the manager of Montreal’s most infamous dive bar, Monroe—and it’s just Monroe, thank you very much—is used to serving up her signature pearls of wisdom alongside an array of shots, pints, and pitchers. In fact, she thrives on it. Taverne Toulouse is a mighty ship, and she its fearless captain, trusted by patrons and bar staff alike to steer them through choppy waters.
If only she’d been given a little warning before a full-on tsunami swept in next door.
Julien Valois’ wining and dining empire is making waves. The next item on his agenda is opening a trendy lounge right next to Monroe’s beloved Taverne Toulouse—one that’s meant to run the dive bar out of business so he can buy up that property too.
His plans did not include falling for a five-foot-nothing brunette with an impressive vocabulary and an even more impressive ability to manhandle drunk frat boys twice her size.
They’re rivals in every sense of the word, but when Monroe and Julien are in a room together, the battle lines fade away. Their defences lower, their hearts get louder than their heads, and the burn between them goes down like just the right shot—intense, intoxicating, and able to sweep their priorities away with a single taste.
Until reality decides to slap up a big ‘For Sale’ sign and force them remember those priorities all too clearly.
The Bar Next Door is part of the Barflies trilogy, a series of standalone romantic comedies that follow the ups and downs of the staff at a Montreal dive bar.

Katia Rose is not much of a Pina Colada person, but she does like getting caught in the rain. She prefers her romance served steamy with a side of smart, and is a sucker for quirky characters. Veiled By Kat Green

I am a fan of Kat Green. I love her twisted creepy stories. I also love listening to Lesley Dessalles narrate. I love how her accent just brings more to a story. This story grabbed me right away and did not let me go until the We hope you enjoyed this program. I love ghost and haunted house books, Kat really brought it with this book. This house is filled with multiple ghosts and Kat even gives the story of almost all of the ghosts in the house.

In the book Kara Tate buys a old house to settle in. Almost immediately strange things being to happen. Even though she is terrified she cannot stand the thought of leaving the house empty but also cannot sell the house and let it be someone else's problem. Theme Music A Novel By: T. Marie Vandelly

A few times I had a bit of a hard time following the story but all in all it was pretty good. The story line was pretty good and did keep me engrossed. I enjoyed Sarah Mollo-Christensen's narration. She keep there voice full of the right emotions at times it was like listening to a movie without watching it. I am glad I used my monthly credit on this book and will be lookign for more books by T. Marie Vandelly.

Blurb taken from Goodreads.com

An utterly propulsive and unpredictable psychological thriller from stunning new talent T. Marie Vandelly

For the lucky among us, life is what you make of it, but for Dixie Wheeler, the theme music for her story was chosen by another long ago, on the day her father butchered her mother and brothers and then slashed a knife across his own throat. Only one-year-old Dixie was left alive, infamously known as Baby Blue for the song left playing in the aftermath of the slaughter.

Twenty-five years later, Dixie is still desperate for a connection to the family she can’t remember, so when her childhood home goes up for sale, Dixie sets aside all reason and moves in, re-creating a macabre decor with her family’s salvaged furniture. But as the ghosts of her family seemingly begin to take up residence in the home that was once theirs, Dixie starts to question her own sanity and wonders if the evil force menacing her is that of her father, or a demon of her own making.

In order to make sense of her present, Dixie becomes determined to unravel the truth of her past and seeks out the detective who originally investigated the murders. But the more she learns, the more she opens up the uncomfortable possibility that the sins of her father may belong to another, and, perhaps most tragically, to Dixie herself. As bodies begin to pile up around her, Dixie must find a way to expose the lunacy behind her family’s massacre and redeem what little remains of her soul.

Zinnia by Christina Bauer

Zinnia
Christina Bauer
(Angelbound Offspring #3)
Published by: Monster House Books
Publication date: July 30th 2019
Genres: Fantasy, Young Adult
As the last dragon shifter, I live alone, hiding in one of Earth’s sacred deserts. My human handlers tell me that I have no parents, no name, and no purpose other than to train for battle and one day become a vessel for the reincarnation of Chimera, the greatest dragon shifter of all. Sadly, Chimera’s rebirth will mean my own death. But my handlers say this sacrifice is a noble fate that will rebuild the dragon shifter world.
I shall die on my seventeenth birthday. That’s five days from now.
Then I hear music thumping across the desert. I take my mortal form, follow the sound, and find humans dancing in what they call a rave. There is a stage and a rock band. One thing quickly becomes clear: Unlike the audience, the musicians are dragon shifters, just like me. And one of them, the guitar player Rhodes, makes my knees turn watery. The lead singer, Kaps, has something strangely familiar about her.
It all adds up to one conclusion: My handlers lied to me. I’m not the last of my kind. Memories reappear. I had parents once. Portia and Tempest. I even had a name. Zinnia. Perhaps I have a reason to live as well. I step past the dancing humans to confront the players.
I will find out the full truth, no matter what.

Excerpt:

Zinnia Sample – The Diner

With cautious steps, I cross the threshold to the diner building. Inside, there stands a small podium by the door. The rest of the space holds a long counter as well as patchwork of tables. A handful of humans bend over their meals. Some of the mortals have worry demons gnawing on their ears. None have the rage demons that evil humans often carry.
Excellent. This place is safe.
Some part of me notices the other folks from the band. They wave at me and my Rhodes while gesturing at empty chairs around their table. I start closer to them, but my attention gets locked on an empty table in the far corner. My eyes widen. A line of colored jars sit atop the shiny table.
Colored food? In jars? Amazing.
Leaving the others behind, I speed over to the far corner. I pick up the first jar. It is tall, squishy, and topped with a cone-like stopper. I lift it up, taking a deep inhale from the container.
A scent wraps around me.
Sweet.
Rich.
Delicious.
I grip the jar and squeeze. A bead of red appears on the top. I touch the substance and bring it to my lips. A burst of flavor erupts across my tongue. It is beyond anything I can imagine. This is far better than the protein bars I eat all the time.
My Rhodes stands beside me. “That’s catsup,” he says. “Do you like it?”
I nod so quickly, the back of my neck hurts. This is a revelation.
Who knew such tastes were possible?
I gaze upon the soft container in my hands. No question what to do next. Opening my lips, I tilt my head back and angle the catsup over my mouth. Then I squeeze the jar with all my strength.
While the small taste was delicious, a mouthful of the catsup is overwhelming in its perfection. My cheeks bulge with the delicious stuff.
Beside me, my Rhodes chuckles. “You like it, huh?”
After gulping down my mouthful, I nod speedily once more. That’s when I refocus on the tabletop. Another container catches my attention. While the catsup was red, this one is yellow. Interest sparks in my chest. If the catsup was delicious, what awaits me in the yellow one? Something equally wonderful, certainly. Swiping the yellow container from the table, I repeat the process once again.
Open my mouth.
Hold the squeeze container above my lips.
Squeeze out everything I can.
A moment later, I realize my mistake. This stuff is disgusting. I drop the yellow container and set my hands over my mouth.
My Rhodes leans in closer. “Not a fan of mustard?”
I shake my head and force myself to swallow. “Ugh. That was foul.”
