MEIGO Magnetic Blocks

MEIGO Magnetic Blocks

This set of 51 pieces of magnetic Building blocks from Meigo is a lot of fun in a little box. This is a great building tool for kids of all ages. The pieces are fairly large and I saw no reason to worry about a choking hazard. The pieces are made out of plastic and each one has at least 3 magnets in them. The blocks hold themselves together with the magnets. There are 51 pieces in the set. The pieces come in different shapes, sizes, and colors. There are even 3 pieces with house walls.

The set comes with a nice drawstring bag for storage and a book filled with building ideas and instructions. The pictures in the book are in color and gives you a list of the pieces needed to build each project. This is a great gift for a child and unlike some of the building blocks toys they are large enough for even smaller children and if you step on one there are no sharp edges. I love the bright bold colors of each of the blocks. The colors would catch smaller children's attention. Children can express their creativity with this set of blocks which makes this an awesome toy to me.

Amazon | Barnes and Noble | IndieBound

Excerpt:

“Well?” she demanded. “Is it true? Is Jack Cameron my father?”
“It is true.” Florence’s voice stiffened Viola. She gripped her chair back, fighting to keep her voice low. “How could you lie to me about something like that?”
Florence placed her hand on her daughter’s shoulder. “Please understand. I thought I’d been widowed. I was scared and alone.”
Viola shrugged the hand away. “Are you telling me that after he had raced across the world to save you, you only married Papa so you didn’t have to raise me alone? Did you love him at all?”
Florence moved to the far side of the table and sat down. “I was so young, younger than you are now.”
“The answer is no, then.”
“I admit that I was still in love with Jack when I married your father.”
The silence that fell over the room was broken by banging on the front door. Viola ignored the interruption, her eyes fixed on her mother’s face. It was like a familiar mask worn by a stranger. How Mama must have hated Viola for forcing her into a marriage she didn’t want. How hard for poor Papa, pretending another man’s child was as dear to him as his own.
The knocking came again and Florence looked at her brother. “If that is Catherine Naysmith here again to try and convince me to go to Auckland, tell her to go away. She’s been here every day this week attempting to wear me down.”
Bertram pushed himself up with a groan. “Unless it’s a life and death emergency, I’ll tell whoever it is to bugger off.” He disappeared down the hall.
Viola shook with her turmoil. “How well you all lied,” she dropped through numb lips.
Florence met her daughter’s gaze. “What good would have come from telling you? Jack may have fathered you, but Emile was and will always be your Papa.”
“Your mother is right.”
Viola jumped at the deep voice. She snapped around to find Jack filling the doorway.

A Pivotal Right

The Holistic Gut Perscription by Author Lauren Deville NMD

The Holistic Gut Prescription is designed to be a simple guide to healing the gut, based on the following premise: if people give the body what it needs to heal itself and remove the obstacles to its cure, then within reason, healing will follow.

Nature Cure is not easy to employ, but it is usually easy to understand. There are only so many building blocks, and there are only so many possible obstacles to cure. The physician’s job is not to “make someone well,” but rather to facilitate the process of healing.

In this guide, Dr. Lauren helps readers recognize which obstacles to a healthy gut they face, how to remove them, and how to supply the specific building blocks they lack so that they can create their own personal path to optimal digestive wellness.

Review:
“The Holistic Gut Prescription is the most thorough guide to intestinal wellness I’ve seen to date. Readers can learn detailed programs to reverse leaky gut, chronic infections, candida and chronic inflammation. The book also gives deep perspective on how multifaceted the connections between gut health, lifestyle, and mindset are. Highly recommended.”Alan Christianson, NMD, New York Times bestselling author of The Adrenal Reset Diet

Dr. Lauren Deville is board-certified to practice medicine in the State of Arizona. She received her NMD from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ, and she holds a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics from the University of Arizona, with minors in Spanish and Creative Writing.

She also loves yoga, piano, and good audiobooks. She writes fiction under a pen name in her spare time.

Snippet

This is the beauty of the naturopathic philosophy: our bodies are designed to heal themselves. If you give your body what it needs to heal and remove the obstacles to cure, health will generally follow. How simple or how complicated the interpretation of this principle becomes in a given case depends on a couple of main variables:

1) How many obstacles to cure are present,

2) How many building blocks are missing,

3) How long you’ve been in the present condition, and/or

4) How willing you are to make the necessary changes.

Dead Air A Glenn Beckert Mystery by Cliff Protzman

Dead
Air
A
Glenn Beckert Mystery
by
Cliff Protzman
Genre:
Mystery, Suspense, Thriller

Dead
Air signals trouble at the radio station. Glenn Beckert discovers his
high school best friend is shot in the head while on the air. Beck,
the owner of Blue Water Security, is employed to provide security for
the station.

He
becomes willingly embroiled in the investigation by the
not-so-innocent widow. The list of potential suspects is long,
gleaned from the numerous extramarital affairs of the victim and
widow. The pending sale of the radio station has created friction
between his now dead friend, Richie Zito and the major stockholders.
Motives for murder becomes increasingly murky after the search
reveals an encrypted file on Zito’s laptop.

Beck
enlists the help of an old flame, Irene Schade, to break the code,
revealing a money laundering network leading to the financial and
political powers of his beloved city of Pittsburgh. Their
collaboration ignites the flames of passion each had considered
extinguished.

A
former college teammate, police Lieutenant Paglironi delivers a
message to back off. Arrogantly, he ignores his friend’s advice.
The threats from less friendly sources are more ominous, forcing Beck
to move in an unfamiliar world. A startling revelation from his
client forces Beck to deal with his inner conviction of right and
wrong, challenging the gray areas of his ethical principles.
Betraying his client’s confidence could expose the killer. The
alternative is to confront the suspect and take matters into his own
hands. Either way his life is in jeopardy.

Cliff was born and
raised in Pittsburgh, PA. Cliff’s family relocated to Northeast
Ohio when he was in high school. Immediately after graduation he
returned to his hometown to attend the University of Pittsburgh.
Cliff planned to major in journalism and write the great American
novel. Instead, he switched to Business Administration and began a
30-year career in accounting and finance.
Cliff rekindled his
passion for writing acquired as a reporter for his school newspaper.
He published his first novel, DEAD AIR: a Glenn Beckert Mystery in
September 2017. Cliff also writes short stories. He was a winner in
the Unfinished Chapters anthology in 2015. Cliff is a member of the
