But the victory is soiled by reports of a faction of wayward sisters joining a necromancer Order, the Saurcine.
The rebels plan to bring forth the Krevomax, the seed of the Tisrad Dragon, to defeat the Mantis Alliance. To combat this new evil threat, in Jazrene Vallo’s last act as supreme leader, she activates the sisterhood’s elite warriors, the Criss Lumbra. Their mission: destroy the spawn of the Tisrad Dragon. Should they fail, it will mean the end of the sisterhood and all peace in the universe.

R. J. Amezcua was born and raised in Silicon Valley, and is happily married to Sheryl. As a young boy, one of his favorite TV shows was Lost in Space. Being an entrepreneur and visionary by nature, he has begun his journey as an author and writer. Using his love for science fiction, he created the epic saga “Mantis Force,” which encompasses a vast universe.

Author Interviews with R.J. Amezcua
Q: Do you write every day?
A: I try to write something before the day ends, sometimes late in the evening. I will write just one sentence. Of course, sometimes I delete what I wrote the next morning and start fresh.
Q: Do you ever get writer’s block? What helps you overcome it?
A: Like every novelist, I get snagged by that annoying dilemma. When I hit that obstacle, I do something similar to what Doctor Strange did in Infinity Wars movie where he sees millions of various outcomes. I let go of what I think it should be, then I pick one of the outcomes and begin writing.
Q: In today’s tech savvy world, most writers use a computer or laptop. Have you ever written
parts of your book on paper?
A: Yes, I am very visual person, so I almost have to write a map of my story on paper. I also use a dry eraser board to outline the overall body of work to keep track of where I am going with the storyline. Many times, I see a scene in my mind’s eye, then I write what I see.
Q: Do you snack while writing? Favorite snack?
A: Yes, I try to eat healthy as best I can but sometimes the only thing to snack on is chips and salsa, a big spoon of peanut butter with honey, and varieties of fruit.
Q: Why did you choose the title Mantis Force?
A: I took the word Mantis from the Greek language which means Seer or Prophet. The stories are created from fictional prophecies written in the Kodashah (holy book of the prophets) and the Nostro Hedrin (the tome of necromonic power). Everything unfolds from there.
