Shortly after marriage, her husband rejoined the U.S. Navy and they moved from Kansas City and started their journey together. Currently they have two amazing children, a boy and a girl, and are still enjoying the Navy life.

She was the hot mess who stumbled through his door.

He was the one who gave her a chance.

When Elle Callihan finds herself on the twenty-sixth floor of the country’s top publishing firm after putting her dreams on hold for five years, she's not about to allow the opportunity to slip through her fingers.

There’s just one problem.

Her new, humorless, this-needs-to-be-done-right-now, jerk of a boss makes her working life a living hell.

With the minutes on his own clock ticking, CEO and certified workaholic, Owen Caldwell, has no time for anything. Not relationships. Not life. And certainly not the connection that simmers between himself and his new assistant.

As the pair work together, their undeniable attraction draws them closer, bringing a realization that sometimes life and the people in it are worth slowing down for. But when Elle is presented with a plot twist she never saw coming, she quickly learns that crafting her own story may be much harder than she initially thought.

Faced with a difficult decision, she has two choices: write the truth or deliver an alternate ending she knows they both deserve.

Katie Fox was born in Florida and raised in Pennsylvania, where she still resides with her gamer husband and four-year-old son. An avid reader and hopeless romantic, she is a sucker for a good love story. When she isn't found spending time with her family, she typically has her nose buried in a book or is in her writing cave, giving life to the voices in her head. Since a very young age, writing has been her passion. Her works include, Moment of Weakness, World of Darkness, as well as her co-written titles, Whispers From The East and Beauty of a Monster.

Sweet Hollow Women by Holly Tierney-Bedord

3*

Sweet Hollow Woman is the story of 4 generations of woman in the same family. The story tells the ups and downs of these woman's lives. you get the story of Louisa, Maggie, Rhonda and Carasine. The book does alternate chapters between each woman and at times was  bit confusing to me especially during the first part of the book, trying to figure out each woman's place in the family tree so to speak.

I did enjoy that you learned each woman's history and followed their lives. Each of the paths that are taken by each of the woman are interwoven. The choices by one woman effect the other 3 in some way.

This is not a happy fairy tale story. This woman do not have an easy care free life. This takes a real life look into these ladies lives. There is heartbreak and grief as well as good times. The book does run a bit slow, there is not a lot of excitement involved. But it is not a bad read.

I was given my copy of this book from the offer and Lola's Blog Tours. My review is my own thoughts on the book.

Grave Truths by Liberty Forrest

This short novella is the prequel to The Montgomery Chronicles series. It  brings to light how Robert and Lucy meet and it is love at first sight. There are also a few ghosts thrown in to give it a creepy vibe along the way.

I have not read any of the series yet but they are now on my list of find now books. I cannot wait to dive into the series. If the rest of the series is anything like the prequel this will be an awesome series.

Robert Montgomery has finished medical and is ready to head to Tennessee to start his new job as Doctor. Strange things happen as he is ready to head out the  door. He turns the door knob but it will not open. Then furniture moves in front of the door by itself. As he picks up the phone to call for help he gets no dial tone just an old song. When he is finally able to get out of the apartment he goes to the bus station to find he has missed his bug. He heads to the post office to send a message to his sister who is waiting for his arrival in Tennessee to let her know he is delayed.

Lucille "Lucy" D Watson is set to marry George Williams in 3 days. She has her reservations and feels like he is hiding something from her, but she feels that she owes this wedding to both families. While at the post office picking up her mail and man Robert literally runs into her. There is immediate chemistry. Later on she runs into him at a cafe. After sharing a very long lunch with Robert. He asks her for just one evening in her company. She agrees. And that is the beginning of the story.

I was given my copy of the book via the Author to read. My review is my own thoughts.
